Best football squad in history

What's the best football squad in history?

Can anyone even come close to Spain 2010/12?

>3 defenders
was spain ahead of its time?

spain revived the 4-1-4-1.
ramos on the right, pique and puyol in the center and capdevila left.

Ramos - Pique - Puyol - Capdevila

You mean in terms of international football? Spain 08-12 is indeed the best. They weren’t that exciting after 2008 but they dominated an era of football unlike any international team before them. France 98-06 was a very impressive collection of players but they were reliant on Zidane. Guys like Henry and Vieira never really took responsibility in his abscence.

I prefer Silva and Torres in tbg and Alba is better at left back.

this team was simply unplayable
fuck them

For me, it's David Villa

>torres better than david villa

It saddens me that iniesta won't be as well remembered as messi or Ronaldo.

obviously carried by Messi

oh wait lol nvm

no, but better than Pedro maybe
I was for the double pivote at the time but you could have Barcelonas midfield with Torres, Silva, Villa in front of them

>Raul not being in the team after 2006 anymore

It isn't fair bros

>all this quality in this team
>wasted on boring 1-0 possessionball tiki-taka

Yeah like that boring 4-0 win over italy

Murderball against the Netherlands was fun though. Also well deserved for Spain that they won, was a lot of fun for me as well because I'm half Spanish

>I'm half Spanish
dios mio....

Eh it works fine.
Blonde and blue eyes but a Spanish face is a great combo to have

el ogro de las montañas...

Sure thing, juan

El abominacion... dios mio

I'm happy with it and so is my current gf.
Also being blonde and somewhat tall in Spain is a god's gift

>Pedro is 1.69m

What the fuck?Always thought he was 1.80 at least.

esta hablando dios mio

kek

david villa babbies

>half
Asensio that you?

Based Aragonés

>joan capdevila
absolutely based

N-n-no

Ah yes, the Filthy chupapostes

Ridiculously stacked team, everyone there (except maybe Capdevilla, but he played well) was top 3 player in the world for his position.

>I’m half Spanish
Same larp that Mexicans over 5’9” use kek

Torres always sucked, m8

What about the best attack of all time? Br?

>wasted on 2 euros and 1 wc
yeah haha

And he didn't show his true power

Attached: images.jpg (256x196, 7K)

this, the only reason he is remembered in good light is because of his goal in the finals 2008.

It was boring. You picked that game to argue because of the high scoreline, shows how much you know. You didn’t even care to check what happened during the match.

It's even better when you think they had in the bench players like Torres, Fàbregas, Valdés, Silva, Mata, Javi Martinez, Navas...

Attached: 16506.jpg (2048x1103, 343K)

pretty bad luck that it pretty much exactly coincided with maybe the best squad the dutch have ever had

Attached: 1775401.jpg (1366x768, 206K)

2006 Brazil was superior to 2002. Also the best Brazil was the 1970 one, the only real contender to the 2010-12 Spain as the best NT ever

Apart from the stikers, I think current netherlands is much more complete

those guys in the back are really tall!

Not even close to the best Brasilian, French and Italian teams.

One can think it's the best team because Spanish clubs were also winning at that time, while brasilian and french for example don't play for clubs from their country. But you really need to be a stupid zoomer to think this team is the best.

In 2006 the French team was old as fuck and they crushed them, the starting 11 was almost the same.

France 2006 was stacked, every position was elite. I think it could have been better if Domenech brought either Pires or Giuly instead of Malouda

for me it's the one and only GOAT, Eufemiano Fuentes

Attached: he did nothing wrong.jpg (620x387, 64K)

That's not the 1998 squad. That's the best squad we ever had. Or maybe the 1974/1978 squads, but i wasnt born then

pretty sure we would have won with another goalkeeper

>babel
he is eternal

Really showing your age here lads

Spain 2008-12 was an ok squad with an unbeatable system and no real (consistent) rivals except Germany

Euro 2000 had many teams with better squads - France, Italy, Netherlands, England, Portugal, Czech. Brazil 2005 Confederations Cup squad was ridiculously stacked with all players at or near peak. Brazil 1997 and 1999 Confederations Cup squad was also brilliant. 2004 Euros England,Netherlands ,Czech and Portugal had great squads. In 2006, Italy, France, Brazil, England, Portugal, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Argentina all had better or as good squads

Removing the receny bias, you'll find most teams had many more good-great players pre 2006 , while what we have in the decade or so since is a bunch of great players in one team, a concentration of resources if you will, although less so for international teams

Who? Coupet? It's not like Barthez had any mistakes really... In the PSO in the final I think he dived the right way in each penalty but only just didn't get to them

>unlike any international team before them
1924, 1928, 1930. Three consecutive World Championships.

2002 Brasil

>three

>the starting 11 was almost the same
it's almost like footballers need some time to reach their prime uh

mistakes are one thing, not showing up is another thing. italy had like two shots on target, they scored once, and with the second shot on target it would have been a goal is a defender on his line didn't cleared the ball away

It's almost like an amazing generation of footballer from other big football countries retired at the same time and Fuentes' blood bags got destroyed creating a Spanish impunity in term of doping uh.

DIOS MIO INTENTA COMUNICARSE

>Tfw france used to be filled with chads and actual men
>Now it's filled with divas and fornite zoomers

what happened lads?

If Messi was spanish, maybe.

If we are talking the last 20 years or so, then France 98-2000 is pretty much there leveled with that Spain.
If anything matters, then Brazil 82 is a beast on their own

It worked. dont change what isnt broken

>not understanding that tiki taka is a defensive tactic

And that doesn't change anything on his statement.

brazil 1970 or barcelona 2009-2011
that's all
high iq post

it does, because he implies they should have scored a shitload of goals instead of controling games

>Now it's filled with divas
You don't remember what happened in 2010, do you?

This is true. The amount of great players scatter around was amazing.
Numbers 10 were a thing and they had a spot on the team instead of this shit of today where n10s cant be thing because "MUH 2 DMCS OR A BUNCH OF 8s MUH POSSESION AND PASSING AROUND UNTIL THE KEEPER AND REPEAT". The few number 10s are stuck to the wings or as a 2nd forward ffs.
And strikers, I mean real strikers(like Van Nistelrooy, Shevchenko) were a thing and were never a bother to teams since those bastards SCORED GOALS and would win balls in the air and would pressure, instead of this meme forwards picking the ball in the midfield with terrible scoring skills.

And Euro 2000 was awesome, full of great games. Euro 96 was also great.

the ball seems untouchable with those guy.

this one was far superior

Attached: goat.jpg (800x500, 536K)

Twain actually made a good post

Fortnite zoomers yes, divas not at all. English people are obsessed with Pogba who's just hated for no reason. Kanté, Varane, Griezmann, Giroud, Matuidi, Lloris, divas, really?...

as said, look in what state they were some years ago

Brazil 2002, they didn't even look like they were trying, just having a good time demolishing everyone.

You are right, its actually four since we didnt participate in 1934 and 1938

Attached: world_cup_2006_.jpg (1600x1200, 378K)

based. Greatest defense of all the WChistory.Just two goal concded: an own gol by Zaccardo and a (NO ERA) penal by Zidane.

70' would lose to spain 10' by 15-0

spent this weekend in Spain

YO QUIERO BAILAR
TODA LA NOCHEEE

Based Apu.

Awful meme. Any team Paraguay can almost beat is fucking shit. Thanks Tacuara.

Daily reminder your meme about Olympic Gold being a World Cup is based on a now purged FIFA document which didn't even say they were World Cups but counted as 'World Championships'.

La abominacion de los paises bajos

callate pelotudo y anda a pelar mandioca mba'e

>Spain's best player in 2008-2012

Attached: 1796215.jpg (1600x901, 94K)

I don't think we'll ever see a squad that good again for a while. Spain (really, Barcelona) caught lightning in a bottle when they produced the god-tier midfield of Xavi, Iniesta, and Busquets. It's why bald fraud won a bunch of stuff with Barcelona, and it's the reason why Spain was so dominant.

Attached: USWNT.jpg (600x340, 54K)

fucking retard could your biased agenda be ANY more fucking obvious

Bases and they were even missing Maldini

>le pass until your rivals are bored to death team
>best football squad in history
Yikes.

whatever you say you goblin

the squad of Catalonia

France 98 only let 2 goals in also (including one penalty), and scored 14, Spain scored 8 (eight) goals in 2010, this annoys me a little bit

Based
The 2002 squad was even better tho, just got robbed
Fun fact, the ref in that game was arrested and jailed a few years later for smuggling several kilos of cocaine across international borders and was literally bunkrupt. But no, a guy like that would never take a bribe!!

Yes, this team was simply untouchable.
