- Maccabi Tel Aviv is the defacto bandwagon team of the average Israeli. They are kinda like Juventus and attract fans from all the country
- Maccabi Haifa are from the big northern industrial city of Haifa. Their fanbase are mostly bandwagoners from their 90's and early 2000s success. Very similar to Manchester United.
- Hapoel Beer Sheeva saw recent success after decades of drought and spells in the second league. Their fanbase is mostly from the southern town of Beer Sheva. Similar to Newcastle United except they actually won something recently.
- Beitar Jerusalem are the right wing and/or Mizrahi Jew default club. Their crowds are considered relatively violent and racist towards Arabs and leftists. They were previously owned by a Russian Jewish billionaire who bankrolled them to success, however he was sentenced by French courts to jail for selling weapons illegally in Africa.
- Hapoel Tel Aviv are the club of socialists and liberals. Hapoel literally means "the labourer". Their fans are somewhat violent as well and always clash with Beitar and Maccabi TA fans. They are also incredibly toxic and chant holocaust songs against Maccabi ("we wish a holocaust on Maccabi").
- The one with the horse is an Arab team - Bnei Sakhnin (ابناء سخنين). Against all odds they managed to get promoted to the (Israeli) premier league back in 2004 (I think). Since then they always had financial issues and struggled with relegation and promotion a bunch of times. Their fans are mostly Israeli Arabs and the police do their best to prevent clashes against Beitar. Many Sakhnin - Beitar games are done without a crowd.
- The one with the Shark is Hapoel Haifa. It is the Hapoel version of Haifa, but it doesn't solely draw leftists, more of a working class or former working class people around Haifa. They also once had a rich owner who bankrolled them to a title but he eventually an heroed himself.

Other than that the league is incredibly boring.

"Maccabi" is an old nationalist Jewish athletic organization and many Israeli football clubs 'belong' to it. Their logo is on the right. "Hapoel" is similar to that, but only socialist. Their logo on the left.

There are less Ashkenazi players relative to their actual population in Israel. Most top level footballers are Mizrahi Jews, Arabs, and the occasional meme Ethiopian Jew fullback. The captain of the national team is a Circassian (muslims from Caucasus kinda similar to Khabib Nurmagomedov) from which there are only around 4000 in Israel.
