Just took over a team that had been abandoned and neglected for years in a keeper league. The team had absolutely nobody worth keeping and not a single eligible prospect. Decided to trade my first few picks just so I'd have a decent core going forward.
After trading, my keepers were Mike Evans, Adam Thielen, Leonard Fournette, and Calvin Ridley(p). The draft was rough but I filled my team with players I thought had potential and a lot of rookies.
My team sucks so I'm not really expecting to be competitive this season although I'm going to try my best. Hoping some of my rookies can stand out this season to either keep or trade away next year.
Looking at this week, I'm thinking of benching Moncrief and starting Deebo Samuel instead. What do you guys think?

In a standard I'd be tempted to play Jackson because I think game flow will favor running backs for the Chargers, but to me the safest play would be Sutton. I don't know if Pettis will even end up being the number one option in San Francisco.
I will say to owners of Green Bay and Packers players, that it isn't all doom and gloom. I was actually encouraged with Aaron Jones usage in week one. Williams was ineffective, and I think the Packers will run more. People seriously downplayed the impact of the coaching change. Valdez-Scandling had his stock soar in my view, as I expect the Packers to be more dependent on the top two wideouts. Allison is on my potential cut line, I don't see him getting much usage. I never had Adams graded higher than a high third round pick in a 12 man league. He will be a high end WR2 and serviceable WR1 I feel, but I never bought into his first round grade.
For the Bears it is more bleak. I think Robinson will absolutely be a WR1. Montgomery had a tough game, but I think he will be a good flex play or low end RB2 especially in games versus weaker opponents. However Trubitsky doesn't look good. Week 1 has lied in the past, but I don't see any progression there, and I expect the bears to regress to a 9-7, 10-6 team on the high end. Outside of possibly Trey Burton and Cohen in PPR leagues, I don't see any Bears player worth a roster spot, and the quarterback play is going to seriously depress all fantasy value for their players outside of maybe Robinson.
Lesean McCoy. Bears offense is depressed by bad quarterback play, while the Chiefs will offer more offensive plays and favorable game scripts for running backs than the Bears
Hunt for Gordon is a steal. Gordon has more potential even from just the stand point of possibly being traded. I doubt Hunt will even be fantasy relevant when he returns.

Counter Point: The Bears will be trying to mask their worst spot on offense: Quarterback. They will chew clock with Montgomery when possible to shorten the game and protect leads. This will decrease their overall number of offensive plays. Also what you saw with Cohen was without Trey Burton, who I think will eat into whatever sort of receptions would go to Cohen in situations they are behind.
Conversely the Chiefs look to be in more situations that are high value for offense in general, and look to have more leads in the second half that they are looking to close out. With this in mind, McCoy would be a much better option in KC, especially since his upside would be winning the starting job outright through play or injury. That's a much more valuable spot than the lower odds that Cohen becomes Chicago's lead back.

However there is no reason to cut a player with a ceiling with that high of potential, and you'd be better off trading him to someone who feels like they are getting a bargain. You will get differing opinions everywhere, but the way I see it Breida has been on the team for a while and if he was good enough to be the no-doubt #1 guy he'd have done it by now. Coleman just passes the eye test for me.
