Are you going to a game tonight? It’s week 1 in Texas, where football is king. Last week Katy took care of North Shore on ESPN. Who here is going to a game?
Why HSFootball is comfy: 1. Cheap admission 2. Band plays in game and at halftime 3. Cheap concessions 4. Community involvement 5. Strategy matters as much if not more than talent. 6. 4th down attempts a lot more common 7. After game turn on fox sports southwest at 11pm to see the sports center of hs football vid related: youtu.be/nHSo-ZovSXI [Open] 8. Get to watch teenage cheerleaders do stunts that might be dangerous and they look good doing it.
Comfy concessions that won’t burn a hole in your wallet.
Gabriel Hernandez
>children's sports
Brayden Ward
Grown ass men.
Josiah Johnson
If you're not a parent of a child playing this is creepy
Michael Myers
Lads what is the best tactic for stopping wing T? For my money its 3-4 cover one robber OLBs play outside contain and my three meanest hosses maul the line. Chop the O line pursue the pull man. Simple as.
Liam Jackson
Not having journalists covering your kid’s sportball.
I honestly don't know why so many HS shitter coaches still run it. I feel like I could out coach 70% of HS coaches in my state.
Alexander Evans
Yeh they do, that's right that is.
Asher Campbell
>play TE in high school freshman year, get switched to WR for the rest of hs because coach wanted another big nigga as a glorified lineman at TE >get called whiteboi constantly every single fucking game, get targeted like three times total fuck the wing t
Logan Reed
This
Owen Barnes
>not supporting the home town Fake and gay plastic fans
Christopher Richardson
I support my local u16 soccer club.
Carter Brooks
>youth soccer Like I said >and gay
Ryder Bell
The great small towns still do.
Heck de la salle in California still runs a lot of veer.
Angel Ward
Veer is slightly less memetarded than wing T and is pretty hard to beat when you have an elite talent pool and are allowed to scout and give scholarships like private schools. Wing T is just pure ass >buck sweep right >buck sweep left >reverse >waggle >dive That's it. A well executed triple option play where all 3 of your runners are going to get D1 scholarships is much different. College teams still run the veer too.
Jeremiah Myers
Anyone dress up like a scout so you can go alone and video the cheerleaders?
Ethan Gray
No creeper. I hope a dad figures you out and bludgeons you in the bathroom. I hope he makes you eat a urinal cake.
Evan Reed
>urinal cake is this what amerisharts call it when they're too fat to fit in the toilet stall and simply drop a poo in the urinal?
Jackson Brooks
based
Jason Brown
It's pathetic
HSFB is comfy especially once the weather cools off
Nolan Thompson
Nothing finer in Texas than to go to a very cold playoff game in November bundled up and with a blanket. Buying and sipping hot chocolate from the concession stand.
Easton Wilson
Wing T won a state championship in Texas lower enrollment divisions.
A flexbone team from Amarillo made the semifinals.
Spread shotgun is now passé in Texas. Old school is coming back.
Samuel Cook
# If the both teams suck: get there whenever.
If both teams are great: you better go duct tape a towel or blanket to save your seats yesterday.
If the away team is great: prepare to have their fans in your section.
These kids could kick your ass. Can’t be a pedo when it’s unclear that you’d win the fight or not.
Blake Phillips
High School Football is like your version of seeing your local village team playing in lower league soccer while still supporting Liverpool or whatever
Thomas Murphy
That all the HS I went to ran, and it was garbage. Made dicking around in the band fun, though.
Austin Jones
Based and HSFBpilled. The wing-T doesn’t need a band, based clock burning offense.
Liam Gutierrez
What kind of loser has free time on a Friday night to go watch children play sports?
Oh yeah people in bumfuck nowhere
Brandon Thomas
Coaches hate him!!! Find out how he has dominated the state of Arkansas with just one simple trick...
For me it's the triple option, the historic best way to play offense
Aiden Brown
It's more that you should have social things going on Friday and Saturday nights. I would watch a noon college football game but not an 8pm one (unless it was a really huge game)
Nolan Nguyen
Flexbone, wishbone, split-t, slot-t, Fullhouse T, power I, I, pistol, shotgun, or pistol
Pick your poison.
Wyatt Young
>social life >in the fall >not under the lights on Friday night
user, what’s it like having a wife choose things for you.
Jonathan Scott
how old are you? what kind of people are you going to meet? high school kids and their boomer parents? only losers live in their high school town after high school. didnt you get into college?
Jackson Bailey
Yeah flexbone is aight. Like I said it's better than the Wing T. My preference is neither the heavy sets nor the shot gun spreads but rather variations on the I and single back formations. I'm particularly fond of twins formations, 11 personnel with a gadget heavy slot player who can double as a blocker or be motioned to full back. I like offenses that frequently use pre snap motion so the QB can read man/zone. I mean if you have the athletes to run the same two run plays every play more power to ya but my town does not produce very many dominate athletes reliably and they've been on a veer kick the past two years. One team went all the way the others were meh.
Jacob Phillips
What a stupid meme. Its best to put down roots in your community. You're nobody to everybody in the city. Nobody cares about you user. I like being around my family and friends and I see people from all ages from old people who know me from church or when I played, kids I went to school with (and now their kids) or are there to see their younger siblings etc. I staid home and went to college nearby and didn't have to take on any debt and now I'm married and will soon be able to afford my own home in my hometown all before I'm 30, so why again is it necessary to leave your hometown? Because you think you're going to live like the cast of Friends in the city and have an intimate circle of friends you all randomly met somehow and you'll all sleep around and it will be funny and cool and no one will get hurt? It doesn't happen like that. You'll just be isolated in the sea of NPCs in a little apartment renting it out for thousands of dollars a month while you slowly chip away at that soul crushing debt from you memegree and all those expensive drinks you paid for at bars because you were "adulting". But I have the wife, I have the home, and I have the community while you have childish aspirations and sensibilities.
James Flores
Based and countrypilled. Hs football in DFW is about the only thing that makes living here different than other cities.
What state you live in? Ever see a double wing offense? Real tight splits and run heavy.
My favorite trend in football is the Pulaski strategy. I don’t care what offense a team runs anymore as much as what risks they’re willing to take. Rockwall in the east of Dallas is a go for it on 4th down and kick onside every kickoff. They almost beat defending state champ highland park, and last year came close to topping Allen.
Dylan Parker
California, my cousins played in big school rural San Joaquin Valley (one of them played against Kaep in league play and in the playoffs lol) ball with all types of formations I played in smaller schools up north that were mostly limited except our pop warner coaches were based and redpilled pro set I's with only a sprinkling of wishbone situationally we won the 'ship doing that and were runners up the next year. It all fell apart in high school due to poor coaching and an addiction to the veer even though it didn't fit out personnel. redpill me on the Pulaski strategy.
Anthony Reed
spem ass in my whale balls
Aaron Garcia
fuck highland park, plano senior is superior
Nathan Garcia
now that the Little League World Series is over, all that's left is high school football
Joshua Butler
Only if you're a pedo faggot. It's fun to see nationally ranked recruits before they play in college.
I saw Najee Harris the year before he went to Alabama when he was the nation's #1 high school prospect. It was comfy. Funny seeing the band geeks terrified of the mostly black student population.
Luis Cruz
No punting, onside kicks. Guy has inferior athletes but beat superior schools such as Highland Park of Dallas.
Waxahachie under John Kitna ran it when his son wasn’t hurt, then stopped. Rockwall in DFW now runs it. Pulaski is a spread shotgun, but they also run some unique plays.
Anthony Richardson
Based. HP is surprisingly hard working and disciplined.
Carson Campbell
Underage b&
Connor Collins
I saw Ryan Mallet in a playoff game in Texas Stadium. His team lost. He went to Michigan and then Arkansas and played for the Patriots in the NFL. Tall QB he was massive.
Jayden Ward
Who’s going to a game tonight after work? Whataburger afterwards?
if your in a small town its the best town get togethers outside of a parade or festival
Tyler Murphy
Nice. My dumbass HS coach called a 3rd down QB punt I shit you not.
Thomas King
As someone who went to a prominent 6A high school in Texas, I firmly believe any somewhat educated football fan could coach a high school team to a winning record. Those guys really are dumb as shit
Landon Kelly
When I played in HS our rival was notorious for punting on 3rd. We killed them routinely.
What a Chad >noooooooo you can't just go for it on 4th every time. YOU HAVE TO PUNT >nooooooooooo its unsportsmanlike to keep going for 2 STOP IT He's IRL madden cheesing and I love it.
William Flores
I'd love to go but it would be really weird attending my old highschool's games alone as a 24 year old. The only people who go are students, parents, and old people in the community/donors with lots of money.
Blake Brown
Call up a friend. I went alone several times in my twenties to games that I thought would be great, and schools that I didn’t attend.
Jaxon Myers
Go hang out with the rich oldfags and start working your networking with people who actually have connections and money that matters.
my biggest accomplishment in life was tackling a D1 recruit in practice twice. he was only a sophomore and i was the JV senior playing scout team but he did go on to play at an FCS school after he graduated still makes me proud to this day, 8 years later
Jason Mitchell
we did a quick kick with our fullback from our own goal line one time on third down. direct snap through the quarterbacks legs and the defense had no idea what happened but it was a 24 yard punt so it didn’t matter
Matthew Long
>tfw went to hs in north texas but never played football because i was too small
