It's absurd. Anyone who watched Zidane play at the time will tell you that he was talented, but far from the great players of that era.
He was average until 97-98 and his peak only lasted until 03 or so.
The funny thing is that he'd actually be remembered as an all time great if he didn't return to Real.

Go back and watch his matches. He was a great midfielder for his generation but falls just outside the all time greats.
