Working hard is a myth, talent is the only thing that matters, obviously if you combine talent with hard work then you will be a god but if you don't have talent from the start, just forget it.

Yes.
Ronaldo = good talent, superb work ethic
Messi = godlike talent, good work ethic.
Thats my impression atleast.

True, if two people follow the exact same training schedule there will always be a difference in ability

I agree but you forgot the most important factor
/strongmind/
You can be talented and work as hard as it gets but if you're mentally weak you will choke at some point

do you even know what talent is? talent is a made up word. Real people call that apptitude or skill and it can never ever be mastered without shitton ammount of training.

What if my talent is to work harder than others?

Obviously. This is the reason Cristiano will never in his life be as good as Messi, even if Messi eats like absolute shit and spends 20 minutes in a gym a week. Cristiano will never in his life have Messi's talent, it's like being unable to compete with an Asian in math. You may think he's better than you because he studies 10 hours a day, but being good at Math is not study, it's having the capability to deal with those complex problems. You just THINK it's easy because you took at most Calculus plugging in 2 variables in a linear equation.

It's hard to say, alot of people that made it probably didn't had any special affinity, but we will never know, most people never worked hard in their lifes.

talent is a word sedentary brainlets use to justify their laziness. it's a lot easier to say "people are better than me because of talent" than it is to put in the hours to get better. maybe (MAYBE) some people have higher beginner skills than other beginners but chalking it up to talent is disingenuous

that's not a talent, that is a discipline.
