Happenings: Sunday stage was short and full of dramatic events. Astana and Jumbo-Pissma both had two riders in breakaway with intention to carry their captains later. This plan worked smoothly for Lopez when he attacked with 18 km to go. Not so much for Roglic due to Pissma's general incompetence. Esteban Chaves paid dearly for being a manlet when he had mechanical and had to ride his taller teammates' bikes. Just as cabeza de carrera was close to much anticipated gravel section all hell broke lose with heavy rain, hail and thunderstorm. While we were in the dark with no direct feed, Higuita crashed Lopez and Shimano motors claimed another victim in Roglic. Despite that Roglic managed to bridge his rivals and distance them all except Quintana. Marc Soler was riding solo in the front and maybe could win the stage, but was recalled by movistar DS to wait and carry Quintana, to his visible displeasure. Quintana bridged to Soler with Pogocar on his wheel and it was young Slovenian who took the stage in the end. Roglic finished just 25 seconds from stage winner and now sits comfortably in the second place of GC with only 6 seconds behind leader Quintana. It's unlikely that Quintana could hold it today and we will see new leader by the end of the stage. Can't recall the last time leader jersey changed hands this frequently.
There were also problems with afterstage transfer. First, it was a real hustle to get off the mountain due huge queues to cable cars. Then, there was big car accident on the highway, so some teams checked into hotels only by 5 am. Good thing it was rest day.
English spelling always bothered me. Tadej is so much more natural than "Taday", since a and e are two different vowels. But no you have to pronounce e like i. Lrn2 IPA. Majka is natural too. Myka? Fuck off.
Christopher Thompson
I think Quintana will win the race like Contador against his own team in the end >He mentioned how he only trusted 4 of his teammates, one of them being his mechanic, his manager (who happens to be his brother), the physiotherapist and his press manager. >He talked about his physiotherapist sleeping each night with his bike in his hotel room for fear of sabotage and how he bought a pair of aero wheels for the Monaco TT with his own money because the team refused to spend the money in that specific model Contador wanted. >He also said that "everything that the press said about their rivalry was an understatement"
Soler was told he would only have to wait for Valverde thats why he was pissed when he noticed that Quintana was coming with Pogacar on his wheel
Aiden Stewart
Most English people don't into IPA because we never have to learn another language. If Dutch was the lingua franca then you'd be the retard but the Habsburgs won so you get to learn other languages as a matter of course.
All the same, slavic languages are the best languages. If not for the consistent pronunciation then for the fact that you don't sound like you're choking on a dick when speaking.
Oh I know, Dutch has retarded shit too. Like what the fuck is up with "oe", it's not a diphthong, it's just pronounced /u/. Drives me crazy, I could go on for hours about this. But let's not, I agree that slavic languages are based.
Aaron Jackson
>superior pronounce as you write language coming through
Isaiah Allen
That's some apocalyptic shit kek
Based. But Finnish doesn't sound so great unfortunately. And yes I know how Dutch sounds too.
Wyatt Rivera
De Gendt better win this one. He still sits with lowest points in my roster,

Ryan Baker
Hi guys. I would like to predict this as the GC after the itt
this looks pretty plausible, Lopez will loose a lot if the last stage broke his spirit
Ethan Johnson
>be talented young rider who already has a classic win to his name >represents the nation of your team >be in with realistic chance of getting a prestigious stage win >make no secret of fervent desire to win >told to not win in order to help overcooked mercenary boomers gain a few irrelevant seconds >GET CHEWED OUT IN PUBLIC BECAUSE OF YOUR TEAM'S ILLOGICAL TACTICS
Has there ever been a more JUST team than Movistar???
If you were Soler and some other team wanted to buy out your contract, who would you join?
He won our national TT race a month or so ago. He won ahead of Mohorič and Tratnik. So who knows. He can be really good that's for sure. Reminder that Tratnik is/was regarded as our second best TT racer after Roglič
Alexander Phillips
Oshit mine is a disaster for TT. I can only hope Spanish motards will pull Valverde as much as they usually do.
>plenty of riders suspended which one? The team removed these riders from the competition because they did not want pressure during the race.UCI has not suspended any riders.

>anti-bandwagoning sentiment when in fact the vast majority here are couch potatoes that can barely ride. You should be happy more people are actually interested in the sport, even if it's temporary
Jayden James
I think it's Lopez is 25 year old, has serious wattage in his legs, and has improved his itt (and can improve further)
Quintana's itt is never going to improve
Zachary Morgan
Roglic won the Vuelta today Movistar is gonna seppuku in the mountains Lopez gonna blow up after another 50 km attack
Aaron Hernandez
The bizarro /cyc/ where Joembo-Pissma is leading a GT
It's already too late fren. Your flag has been tainted by the curse of the obnoxious bandwagoner.

would be kino if Hagen could hold of Majka. Eurosport guys said he only began cycling with 20/21 and was a nordic skier before
Jonathan Martinez
chill your fragile slav ego and learn about the sport if you actually give a shit
Carson Moore
He actually broke his penis when he got injured ski jumping. After which he fell into a depression and identity crisis which lead him to almost suicide. Luckily he found Yea Forums but as the fate would have it, he fell into the /r9k/ loop and started hating women and later transitioning into one with a failed MtF operation. It was pure God's intervention that made the operation fail but even more than that, it was a gift since now he can do all the doping he wants without being detected as his hormones are already extremely messed up. But it wasn't until he discovered Yea Forums that he found his love for cycling. All facts, from his upcoming autobiography book
Kayden Parker
and i am learning by asking questions, amerifat
Mason Kelly
did you guys know that Roglic is a former ski jumper?
Eli Smith
He was a speed skater. Get your facts right
Carson Scott
this how can cycling be sport? imagine Schlierenzauer cycling
Logan Johnson
he won an olympic medal in curling i think
Ethan Smith
I heard that he was also a showjumper. Swapping four legs for two wheels is very peculiar and interesting and quirky.
Can't wait for next years /TdF/ to be infested with clueless Slovenes and the same discussions every day. Oh well, maybe we're all already dead by then.
Andrew Brown
Now way Can'tANO can get 3 mins back unless roglic literally shits himself.
Leo Fisher
Quintana has one, maybe two chances left. If he breaks on any day his team has to abandon him. Especially with him already signed somewhere else, there's no point in hamstringing the team further.
im not to shure hes already improving it for 3 years at Astana who had historical good TTs. Its weird cause he can push good sitting wattage on long mountain stages. Maybe he just doesnt have the bike technique. His descending definitly improved. He gained time on all favourites on that wet giro escape with Bilbao and was leading the whole descend.
Jason White
>daily reminder Roglic had a huge gap after the middle itt in the Giro too and still DIED
Don't worry I don't hate Slovenian flags that one retard is easy to spot from the rest.
Adrian Hall
well theres 2 weeks to go
Carter Thomas
>circlejerking every day about cycling >new guy spotted >let's offend him because we're superior since we watch cycling every day and this will boost our ego >proceed to ask each other much simpler and retarded questions such as "how many points _______?" even if the info is easily available on vuelta's official site this is one of the most retarded regular threads there's ever been and a huge waste of time. I bet you retards don't even own a bicycle, or bought it for 5k and never ridden it.
Charles Moore
I still don't hate British flags so I'll be fine
Gavin Torres
Contador's poster at vuelta collage looks like brainlet meme

Brayden Sanchez

Gabriel Turner
This all seems very familiar...
If a Belgian, German or Frenchman wins a tour then there's already such a saturation that the flags will remain safe. We know Austria, Danebro, Finland, Ireland, Murica and Russia are pretty cool but if bandwagoners enter the thread then their cool-pass might be compromised. Brazil should come back but he's either fallen out with Austria or has been shot dead in a mugging because Brazil.
>Were you the only pre-vuelta Slovene? dunno about that. Seems there was two of us. I'm the one leading that fantasy race.
Jackson Phillips
>leaving us out because you know we'll choke J U S T Luckily we are pretty saturated already too, think there's more of us than the germans
Daniel Murphy
>the one with the most boring name ever lol
Caleb Long
Fair enough. Both of you are sound so you should be alright since obvious bandwagoner is obvious. Let's just hope that more don't catch on over the next week and a bit. If your flag can survive this then they'll forget about the sport by the time Giro comes around.
Honest mistake mate. There's more of you than Frenchmen outside of /TdF/. I hope Jumbo wins because they have pretty bikes and the shop is cheaper than Albert Heijn
And they have better fresh produce... But there's much more variety at Jumbo stores.
Dylan Jackson
I am a /JUMBO VISMA/ poster but I never do my shopping there. I literally just came back from Albert Heijn. I feel ashamed.
Josiah Johnson
The jumbo nearest to me doesn't have selfscan so I usually walk a bit further to the Appie I am a disgrace to my fellow /drijftenue/ posters
Joseph Turner
instagram.com/stories/omar_fraile/ >that 30 year old zoomer Recently all the drunks here started using these e rollers and loose their driving licence. car and e scooter have 0.5 bycicle has 1.6 limit
Chase Watson
i'm the second slo. i've made this jumbo wojak after i stole the ineos one of course
Based roglic delivering. Only his 2nd GT as real leader. He seems to be stable or trending upwards. I only expect Lopez to be able to challenge him, he is going really well. Roglic came in too hot in the giro, also having won like 3 single week tours before that and now he's learned. Just like Simon Yates last year
Oliver Sanchez
Smartstana abusing rule loop holes since Lopez was caught inside the final km >A rider, upon catching up with another shall leave a lateral gap of at least 2 metres between himself and the other rider. After 1 km, the rider caught up shall ride at least 25 m away from the other
of course also because I don't want them to see me always buy alcohol
I'd fit right in with Finland
Michael Collins
I like AH, but the one near me is one of the worst you'll ever see, so I actually hate shopping there. Luckily a new Jumbo will open at the end of the month. I will definitely switch to Jumbo then.
Logan Morales
Who doesn't?
Luke King
>memeflag opinion discarded
Jayden Hughes
>Idols Armstrong, then Schlecks and Contador
William Robinson
>According to Beppe Saronni, Aru himself decided to ride Suisse and the TdF as soon as he felt recovered after his surgery. Saronni doesn't think it was a good idea and believes it wasn't the best preparation for the Vuelta, which was the target for this season.
They have like a hundred people in their league and they still can't beat us kek
Andrew Myers
This is why I don't selfscan. They're unpredictable. Human cashier is comparatively predictable. Just scans your goods, says the price and asks if you want a receipt. Every time.
Jose Gomez
Astana is kinda infamous for shitty TT bikes though.
James Flores
>not last anymore easy game tbqhwyf
Kayden Campbell
Do you ever get special needs people working the tills? The company mandated forced conversation, the complete lack of understanding of any word that passes your lips and the countless fucking errors which the supervisor needs to clean up...
If you know which one is the token special needs employee then you can avoid it in the future. But if you accidentally catch yourself with one then prepare to have one's day utterly destroyed.
Leo Collins
Oh, no... that sounds ghastly. What kind of monster came up with that idea. I can't remember the last time I spoke anything other the absolute bare necessities with a supermarket cashier.
Justin Gomez
Speaking of cycling, our selfscan works perfectly, except you occasionally get random checks where they just do a sample test and scan about 5-10 items to see if you scanned them and aren't stealing. Over the years I've built up such a rapport that the never pick me out anymore, so really nice. Sadly I moved into my own place last year and they don't have selfscan here. Really disappointing. But man, Marc Soler finished 8th in the ITT today? That's pretty good. I've been going through his results, I know he's won Paris-Nice but he's actually a pretty accomplished time trialist going back, especially by movistar standards. Didn't know that. I guess Castrovejo takes all the attention as being the only good active Spanish time trialist
Eli Jackson
selfscan here literally always works. Never got the murikan memes about UNEXPECTED ITEM IN BAGGING AREA because here you just scan ur items and then u pay, it's foolproof
Adrian Foster
Yeah but can you blame anyone. Castroviejo's position on the bike is insane.
The scanner doesn't recognize the code a lot of the times here. So then you can either put it in your bag without paying or ask for assistance and let them scan it for you. I stole a packet of salami last week, I wondered if it would make me feel bad when I ate it later. It didn't.
Caleb Phillips
Literally never had that happen here, what backwater place you live in fampai?
Jayden Johnson
Randstad, next to a big city. Maybe it is because they are new and some products still have old codes or something.
Christopher Peterson
