Jackson is very good. Ridgeway is very solid for a fourth string. Barnett has been improving and could breakout this year. Curry is a solid backup, and Hall looked great in preseason (I know, we'll see if it continues, but still). And Sweat has the ability to be a force if he takes a step this year.

They're both considered about the same, I think? Favre was an all or nothing ball slinger that always wanted to make big plays, and often did, but also turned it over a lot. Rodgers is the inverse: he's stable and cautious and rarely turns over the ball and is considered the most talented passer. General consensus is most Packers guys preferred playing with Favre as a leader even though Rodgers is probably a better talent.
So take your pick.

How should I feel about the Saints chances this year /nfl/? There were a few roster moves in the offseason, but the team is mostly intact with the only major departures being Mark Ingram and Max Unger. Can they sustain the success from last year, or is their schedule too tough?
Rodgers is way more accurate and just has mobile and powerful of an arm as Favre.
Favre was a better leader and had a Magic aura around him and all around a more likable guy. (Other than when he was a complete ass at the end of his Packer career.)
So in terms of talent Rodgers, likability Favre. Take your pick.
