BJJ is the biggest scam. Learn to box or kickbox. Supplement with some basic wrestling or maybe judo if you can find a legit school. But BJJ is a meme and only works in a sport environment, never in a real situation.

I trained BJJ for a couple years. While it was fun, I could never buy into the lie that technique matters more than weight and strength. It was so obvious when rolling, both the clear advantage when I was the bigger guy and the clear disadvantage when I was the smaller.

It's true. I'm a purple belt. I see the 270lb power lifter is a nightmare for anybody in the gym after 18 months training. I see the 120lb female struggles with guys 180lb or above no matter how hard she works or how good her technique is.

BJJ just teaches you how to use your weight and strength intelligently. It's like having cheatcodes if you find yourself on the ground with somebody near your size. But against somebody significantly bigger and stronger, you have to be vastly more skilled.
