Imagine not rating the two best players in the world in their positions.
what a fraud. I rate alisson tho
Carried by Klopp
Imagine having the best goalkeeper and centre half in the world and still never winning the Premier league.
>wearing watches at a black tie event
fucking pleb tier
Imagine caring about the Premier League when you can just win the far more prestigious Champions League instead.
Cope
Nice COPE. Liverpool could go back to back with the champions league and no one would care because as long as they have never won a Premier league, they'll be bottlers.
they're at liverpool for only one season and have already won the cl and became 2nd in the epl with absurds 97 points, only 1 point behind city. so yeah I think they gonna win it soon
Heard this exact same thing said from 2005-2009.
They can't scrape points by diving anymore
>nice cope
Nice projection. The goalposts will always move. If they win the PL this year it will be "hurr durr only one PL win!"
>tf
Okay customer, I have duely noted your insight into how English football fans have viewed Liverpools 30 year league draught.
they have won eighteen, are you thick or something
this liverpool team are literally the second greatest english XI of all times
Nah, you're thick because I specifically said 'premier league'. Don't give me that "IT'S THE SAME!" fucking Huddersfield Town have won 3 first divisions, I don't think people in Huddersfield know that.
they've rebadged it you fool.
*rebranded. Its not an alfa mate. The Premier league became a global phenomenon. More money, better players, more competition, more funds to grass roots and increased attraction for foreign players.
So no, its not the same thing with a different name.
Calm down autismo.
But it really is the same thing :^]
You sound very upset that Liverpool have won 18 Premier League titles
so it went through the same changes that every other major European league went through. The money and players came gradually over time, they had been improving since long before it was 'rebranded'.
>more funds to grass roots
joke?
name one significant qualitative change, apart from it coming under the influence of neoliberal capitalist ideology, and being taken away from being a public good to a private one behind a paywall.
Not gonna lie, as a loyal man utd customer (Owner of 3 Rashford shirts and can do a perfect pogdab) it hurts to see Liverpool being successful
I literally never said it the fans benefitted from any of it. Sky's monopoly over football isn't a good thing, my argument was the Quailty of the league is undeniably better. Yeah the Premier league kick started that for all the major European league, even the champions league.
Top clubs gave up on bringing kids though the academy in the last 10 years or so, we produced the most English talent ever during the 90's early 2000s. As with any capitalist ideology, you eventually make so much money you can buy whatever you like.
cope: the post
Neither can city
I mean that makes perfect sense, they only lost one game all season so the defence was solid, blame the dogshit up front like Firmino.
yes, the quality is better, but my point was that the quality was also higher in the 80s compared to the 50s. it was in no way a different competition qualitatively, there was just more money.
they just won the biggest trophy in club football, idk if that's cope mate
I don't disagree with you, it's only natural it would get better from those points on but the Quailty of football since the 2000's is definitely the best we've seen.
Again tho, I originally said 'premier leagues' I'm aware Liverpool have won 18 leagues but like I said with Huddersfield, winning in the 20s,30s,40s isn't the same as winning since the inception of the premier league.
winning it in the late 80s is more similar to winning it in 2000 than 2000 to now. time to rename it again?
Lol, we've already been through what it meant when it changed to the prem. Leeds won the 1st division the year before the the prem was created, yet the class of 92 was a more significant part of football history then Leeds actually winning in 92. Again, I'm not saying that's a good thing but it's the way it is. The Premier leagues creation is the most iconic and important era in English football history.
