is there an explanation why terrible to barely average players become good coaches?
Is there an explanation why terrible to barely average players become good coaches?
>pep
>zidane
>average
>pep and simeone
>aveage
lmao, simeone was the captain of our national team and won 2 cups for us
>simeone was the captain of our national team
wow what an a accomplishment
the previous captains were maradona and passarella, both top 20 players of all times
and after him mascherano and messi, both quite good
>tfw too intelligent to play good football
*sold shoes*
*solved football*
Ancelotti won a champions league title over pep didnt he?
Pep Guardiola played for Barcelona, on what earth can you call that average or terrible?
Anyway, the answer to your question is that these are highly intelligent individuals with great people skills.
he won the Scudetto with Lazio when Italian football was the best in the world, and La Liga with Atletico de Madrid in the 90s. Both very rare feats.
He also played for Inter. Not an average player.
He said terrible to average though
andre gomes played for barcelona
dembele plays for barcelona
playing for barcelona or madrid doesn't mean you're some amazing player, you can be very mediocre and still play for them
>andre gomes played for barca so that means pep was average
You both have some comprehension issues but you got it worse
That's not what he's saying
Poop, Ancelotti, Simeone and Zidane were all top tier players, at the very least
Only Klopp and Mourinho are average on that pic. Simeone was captain of Argentina, Ancelotti was a starter in a stacked Milan team, and Guardiola in Barcelona.
andre gomes made 46 league appearances
dembele has made 47 league appearances
poop made 263 league appearances
comparing them is utterly retarded. gas yourself immediately
They know what it takes to play well and work in a team.
Unlike the GOAT's to whom it all comes naturally and when tasked with leading players they literally can't fathom why their pupils are shit (as in: worse then they were.are).
>passarella
>top 20 all time
LOL
psyop to promote capitalist structure
best players are in fact also the best managers
Good players dont have to have a very deep understanding of the tactics of the game.
Why study that when you can dribble past 2-3 or outrun the defenders?
Is there any reason why the greatest athletes alive aren't also great thinkers?
Possessing physical capabilities does not ensure that you have the necessary mental faculties to coach at the highest level.
Belichick and Popovich were not supernatural physically, but they understand what is required because they possess intelligence and enough connections/credibility to find their way into a coaching position in the first place.
That's like saying how can you be bad at Maths if you're good at History. They're 2 completely different things.
Why is Zidane mentioned in this thread at all?
Deschamps could also be cited as a successful player turned successful coach
>Paki logic
>Klopp: I had the body of a 3rd division player and the mind of a Bundesliga player, the result was a 2. Bundesliga career
Just because you had strong tactical understanding of the game doesn't mean your body was good enough to keep up
You're probably not getting a coaching job in the first place without having played. Let's say there are a 100 times more average players than elite ones. Even if half of the elite players turn into fantastic coaches there will probably be equal and better ones among the former average players. The reason elite players often turn into good coaches in the first place is probably because they learned under the best.
because good players are retards
pep simeone and ancelotti were quite above average, they were elite players.
In any case there are fare more mediocre players than top players, so there's a higher chance of getting a good coach out of a mediocre player
There is something to the idea that failed or unfulfilled players become great managers. The most successful managers in Britain were mostly left unfulfilled by their careers. Brian Clough scored 251 goals in 274 matches for middling clubs that never won anything before effectively retiring at age 27 due to injury. Alex Ferguson fucked up in the Scottish cup final for Rangers after clawing his way up to get to his dream club - they lost, he got the blame and was forced to train with the junior squad until he was sold back down to the Scottish 2nd division. Bill Shankly and Bob Paisley's careers were both cut in half by the war. Meanwhile Stanley Matthews, the most beloved English footballer, who spent the war playing exhibitions, won the the first ever balloon door, and won the FA cup final at 38 could only get a job managing teenagers in apartheid Soweto.
>pep
fuck off he was dicked down by redondo on the regular
mourinho was a fucking translator the mans never kicked a ball
no he played, just for lower league clubs and only for 5-6 years IIRC before he started coaching, then barca appointed him as translator for bobby robson because he had coaching experience and could speak english/spanish/portugese fluently
Zidane was pretty average. He did a few "cool" skills and scored some "cool" goals, but that's about it. His passing was average - always behind the targeted player and most of his skills got him nowhere. There were much better players during his time - and even his on his team - Figo, for example.
Simeone and Pep were not barely average players
Ancelotti wasn't either
>being this butthurt after 20 years
Wew lad
How many languages does he speak?
Six. Portuguese, English, Spanish, Catalan, Italian and French.
go back feeding lions, gorillas or whatever you do in your country. 25 years I folloe football, hate Zidane due to jewve+real but I've legit never heard anything more stupid than your comment. He was a football genius, togheter with ronaldo, roberto carlos and ronaldinho the absolute best by far in the late '90s early 00's which is probably the most competitive football era.
Again, go feed (or feed yourself to) the lions.
>zidane
>good coach
lol
Ancelotti wasn't an average player what the fuck are you talking about
Holy shit this thread is awful
it is explained in anime, the good player play in the field while the bad analyse everyting from the bench
> late '90s early 00's which is probably the most competitive football era.
>Owen wins 2001 Ballon dor
>ballon d'or being an accurate evaluator of a football season ever.
another one who should just stay on the fields and plant veggies and stuff.
>b-but messi and ronaldo won them and they are the best r-right? fuck my cow escaped the farm again!
excactly, go chase her.
From 1987 until 1992, Ancelotti played for Milan, and was a key part of the successful squad that won the Serie A title in 1988, consecutive European Cups in 1989 and 1990, two European Super Cups, two Intercontinental Cups and a Supercoppa Italiana under manager Arrigo Sacchi.[ During this time, Milan played with one of their finest teams ever assembled in that decade .
average ..
OP, why didn't you include Ole in your image?
Come on, Pep Ancelotti and Simeone were way better than average, even at a professional level
People who rate zidane do so based entirely based off the 06 world cup and assume he was that good or consistent when fact is he wasn't
Typical world cup casuals and kids
t. 39 year old actual man
Also mouyes was never a player, freddy adu was more a player than mouyes
>good coach
>CHOLO
>AVERAGE FOOTBALL PLAYER
FUCK OUTTA OF HERE KID
>le occasional blooter
>three out of the five coaches in the pictures have played for the national teams of some of the most prestigious football nations
>average
>I don't know about boomer football
no matter how old you are, you'll always be a moron.
Ancelotti, Simeone and Pep were great you retard
They understand the game very well but didn’t have the physical gifts others have
>le if you don't run like a nigger you aren't playing good football
i want zoomers to fuck off
It's hard for great players to teach others without their ability. Messi can't teach a bang average player to do half of what he does. A mediocre player could be tactically astute yet physically weak or unskilled. The only exception to this are frauds like Zidane who inherent a great team yet has the reputation to effectively manage the egos of superstars.
