Spuds (until very recently)
Newcastle
Leeds
West Ham

There are too many
Köln, Stuttgart, HSV, >schalke, Nürnberg,...

Atlético. The only team outside the Big Two able to attract decent chunks of fans outside their sphere of influence (Madrid/Central Spain).

>leeds

Should be until recently too mate. We don't collapse for another 4 month

Feyenoord

>The only team outside the Big Two able to attract decent chunks of fans outside their sphere of influence
You mean Athletic, mongoloid

>schalke has an average attendance of 60k for over 20 years now

They still sell out every game somehow

Boavista

Toronto Maple Leafs

but..anons..all the teams you named mostly play in the top division.

I meant the teams that really play like a shit

closest we get is probably Brann? they have the highest attendance despite being really awful at times, like how they spent a season in the 2nd tier a couple years ago.

lol Boavista barely has fans, Guimarães would be the best example in poortugal if it weren't for pic related

Attached: sporting-portugal-capa.jpg (1280x720, 72K)

But Feyenoord is shit

Attached: Untitled.png (668x591, 34K)

Rapid

Boavista got the 6th highest attendance average last season and they bring good numbers to away matches, at least in the norf. Not as massive as Guimarães in absolute terms, but in relative terms, it's big enough. Now add the bad football. Watching Boavista is torture. Guimarães not so much.

>Sporting plays bad football
You don't watch games outside the big 3 bubble if you think that.

NAC Breda

Sunderland and Portsmouth perhaps?

Despite the bandwagoning nature of North American people, this phenomenon is still very prevalent here. In the NHL, the Toronto Maple Leafs haven’t won anything in over 50 years and haven’t even come very close, yet they have more fans than any other hockey team. Sure, this might be accounted for by the simple fact that Toronto is the biggest city in Canada, but I don’t even live in Ontario and I see more Leafs jerseys than any other. People seemingly love being the loser though, I think the fans relish in complaining about being terrible every year, it acts as a sort of mechanism to bring them together because they are constantly arguing with the fans of other teams. Can you imagine if England actually won the World Cup last year? Suddenly there would be no “it’s coming home” posts or British flags complaining about being chokers. A similar case was the Cubs before the 2016 World Series, apparently most of the fans said they’d prefer to lose because they had developed an identity as the loser team

i think i know the reason we suck

Derby County, Nottingham Forest, Leeds United, Sheffield Wednesday. The championship is like top 7 most attended leagues in the world.

Dallas cowboys

Did you miss the part where he plays for Forrest against Derby?

isn't Red Star the biggest team in Serbia?

it is yeah, but we had a spell of 5 years without a title and every match home and away the support was crazy. Even better than it is now when we're actually good.

Belgium : Standard, or more accurate to OP, Antwerp and Beerschot. honourable mention to RAAL and Molenbeek for somehow continuing to have fans despite numerous bankruptcies.

Netherlands : Cambuur, Go Ahead Eagles. Easily shittiest teams with loudest fanbases pound for pound. Fuck the big 3.

Germany : Hansa Rostock, Magdeburg, Dynamo Dresden in the East. Rot Weiss Essen in the West, probably followed by Waldhof Mannheim and Kaiserslauten (derby should be tasty)

Austria : Rapid no contest.

Spain : Betis no contest, although Bilbao are in 2nd but they are successful for their size and model.

don't know other fan scenes.

Chicago Cubs would have been a good one until recently

oh actually i forgot these guys who visted us from Denmark

Attached: maxresdefault[1].jpg (1280x720, 354K)

Cleveland Browns
I don't know how they do it.

NAC and Twente only visit matches more when they got relegated lol. Bit of masochism going on here.

Baník Ostrava

>RAAL
peoples still follow that club even tought it closed down and the new one is in division 4 ?

Manchester United

this, win or lose we support our club! GGMU

because football is king in the northern half of ohio more than anywhere else outside of maybe rural texas

>Leeds
yeah these guys and Derby are like the ultimate answers to this question

If any Scandis can confirm, Hammarby in Sweden?

>handegg teams count
you can't get relegated from the NFL you spastics
no matter how shit they are every year they'll turn up to the same big teams again and again

>Leeds
Only recently, really. It was only 3 or 4 seasons back they were getting average attendances around 22-23,000, and it's only gone up to the 30,000s when they've started looking alright again.

Shimizu S-pulse

Levski

that's still fucking mint for a league one team
my team is in the Championship and probably gets about half the home supporters leeds had in league one

Cowboys

heard about these

30,000 is a meme fanbase. We get more at high school American football games

This thread is about massive fanbase, thanks

Sunderland have top 10 attendance in England but are in League one. Definitely them.

Having a braindead owner is the equivalent of being relegated.

(you)

They were getting that in the Championship, though, even teams like Brighton and Boro were getting more

For comparison, here's Sunderland's attendance vs the rest of League One last year. This put them at #12 highest attended home matches in England, behind 9 PL clubs + Aston Villa and Leeds.

Attached: league one average attendance 2018-19.png (1233x883, 75K)

yeah, the old RAAL merged with their arch rivals La Louvière Centre, who are based in Haine-St-Pierre
new one is a phoenix club because the supporters couldn't get behind it for obvious reasons.

RAAL will definitely go further than URLL with their fanbase. URLL always had poor attendance even before the merger and at the height of both club's success. I remember in the mid-2000s the derby was still a thing.

>tfw i remember when they were in Division 1 with my father club : RAEC Mons and one of our neighbor was a RAAL fan and they would banter each other
and now mons Closed too some years ago and the new club is in Division 6 , what fucking downfalls these two clubs got

As for the reverse club: high-flying yet barely any fans, there's Bournemouth. Almost half as many supporters as the next lowest in the league. Their average attendance would rank 22nd in the Championship and 7th in League One, making them the 49th best-supported club in England.

Attached: premier league average attendance 2018-19.png (1233x880, 74K)

These would be more interesting if they were expressed wrt the home stadium capacity really.

Flamengo
>richest club in the country
>biggest fanbase in the world
>hasn't won the league since 2009

All of them.

>hifk
>massive and loyal fan base
Their fans are the worst bandwagoners in Finland. Nobody gave a fuck about them before they got promoted to the Veikkausliiga.

Sunderland and Coventry City

Racing Club here, but it is generally seen as a bad thing by the good clubs.
Basically it means being a fan of the fanbase instead of being a fan of the club.
It's a bad attitude.

Any professional sports team in detroit

Grim.

NFL: Browns & Raiders
CFB: Tennessee
MLS: idk
Cruz Azul

Real Zaragoza is a historic team that has had a calamitous decade. But I guess a lot of people from there just became full time Barca/Real Madrid fans.

Back in the day when they were in the lower leagues, they still had a fanbase that was better than most Veikkausliiga sides. Even though they're mostly bandwagoners now, there's no other team that can have even half as many ultras while going up and down between VL and Ykkönen

Holy fucking digits

Attached: 1563735670921.png (551x550, 334K)

Diósgyőr (or DVTK officially). Always facing relegation and somehow surviving, won fuck all but two domestic cups in the '70s, but still has a decent sized, loyal fanbase.

Santa Cruz and Vasco

Attached: santa cruz torcida.jpg (1000x650, 146K)

(OP)
There's also Újpest, archrivals of Ferencváros, whose clubs have the fiercest ultras in Hungary. They have a glorious history, but are midtable shit for the last 25 years, and got heavily stomped on by Sevilla in the EL qualifiers that they somehow still celebrated. They won the domestic cup a few times recently though, which makes them not complete shit, just vastly underperforming compared to their former glory.

Tfw no banning order gf

Pistons doesnt have a huge fanbase tho, at least in the stadium

Spurs did prior to them becoming not shit
Sunderland
Leeds
Forest
Derby
Sheffield clubs
Everton

As for a few that have very poor support for what they are/where they are based
Aston Villa
Cardiff
Reading
Wigan
Middlesbrough
Bristol City (the state of sport in their city is a disgrace)
Stoke

Aris probably, no title whatsoever in 50 years and no top 3 finish in like 40 years yet still gather the most attendances in the league, after Olympiakos who aren't as strong as they were like 5 or 15 years ago, but still relatively strong, and PAOK who're at their greatest moment in their history.

Didn't the Raiders have the lowest attendance in the league for like 10 years running?

635 day winless streak

How do Villa or Stoke have poor support?

>Villa
>poor support
???

Marseille is the definition of that. Lens as well.

Attached: 1200px-Olympique_Marseille_logo.svg.png (1200x1200, 194K)

Yes Hammarby fans are super loyal. Even when they were in the second division they had a bigger average attendance than every single team in the first division.
They've also only won 1 trophy in their entire 122 year old history. And that was nearly 2 decades ago.

Patriots have lost four (4) superb owls in the last 25 years but somehow people still love them.

Aston Villa have won a European Cup and are based in the second biggest city in the UK, with only one other team in Birmingham with pretty small support itself. Yet Aston Villa in the Championship still had about 10,000+ empty seats regularly and in 17-18 their average attendance was just a bit more than Sunderland's, and it is not like they had been down there long suffering like Forest/Leeds/Derby/Sheffields etc. Average attendance is very rarely anywhere near capacity even when they did well - only been more than 40k once in decades european-football-statistics.co.uk/attnclub/league/astv.htm

Stoke just have fuck all fans. Forgot to mention Fulham also - a fucking neutral section

Atlas.

>Stoke just have fuck all fans.
How come?
And Port Vale?

The Red wings are one of the most successful franchises in the NHL, retard

Carlton, Essendon and Fremantle

well, depends what you call "loyal fanbase", here besides maybe 2 or 3 clubs they don't get a packed stadium unless it's a big game

even big clubs here get stadiums 50% empty on regular league games, like man city

came here to post this. crazy to me that carlton still averages 50k a season despite how fucking shit they are. literally the worst team in the league for years.

Raiders

My cousins are always posting their heia brann or whatever shit on normiebook.

Be like the Sens, we treat everyone equally unless they're good at hockey

>top 3
>shit

Ruch Chorzów, Widzew Łódź, ŁKS Łódź, GKS Katowice

test

Panathinaikos have a huge fanbase but the stadium is mostly empty because of terrible management and people wanting to boycott the football team, lol

as far as hockey goes it is the edmonton oilers, easily. team is always ultra dogshit. and could somehow threaten the city with relocating to an unspecified location unless the city paid for a new arena. the city caved.

Brondbyyyyyyyyyy

Nebraska football

Oakland Raiders
Dallas Cowboys
Toronto Maple Leafs
Chicago Cubs (up until very recently)

By that logic the NBA is massively racist for almost exclusively fielding players from a demographic that is barely 13% of the total population. Nu-liberals are cringe but liberal boomers like the creator of that image are even higher on the cringe department.

they've only just started to recover from their salary cap blow out

Celtic

What's tradition? Sheeet team like Man city don't even get close to them

This kek. Feyenoord has become an utter joke and the fanboys has only grown in its delusions and emotions. For the bongs out there, it's about 2x as bad as your scousers chirping on about liverpool but with the compulsive losing. It's an utter shit club that would rather wail in its own suck instead of facing reality and climbing out of their pit of misery. Because admitting the truth would be more painful than staying where they are in denial.

They have decent support in the city itself but are known in England mainly because Stanley Matthews played there for so long rather than being successful.
Geographically speaking Stoke's in between middul fc and norf fc so you'll see more Leicester, Wolves, Nottingham, Villa, Liverpool and Man U fans in the surrounding areas. Stoke fans are pretty beta in my experience.

Shame to hear, I dont mind them considering Kuyt went back there after Fenerbache and won the league with them before retiring

they do have a consistent big base, especially for away matches, but not at home
guimaraes is the true answer, since sporting is part of the big 3 even if theyre the worst out of them
they only have 1 cup ffs, and its from 2013

Read the OP

The only reason they won the league that year was because of a couple good players taking opportunity away from Ajax which was making a run into the EL final and PSV who was trying to survive in the CL. And instead of being realistic about their victory and using it as a stepping stone onto better things, they sold all their players, bought absolute shit mid tier players in return (whom were nearly all busts) and kept living in denial for the next two years pretending they had a chance to win the league and that the cup was a good prize to. Combined with the whole stadium fiasco and Feyenoords obsession with Ajax the club has increased in disfunctionality, almost entirely removing any progress made by Kuyt etc. Right now the club has become so annoying I'd almost wish them to be relegated despite Dutch football suffering for it. Just can't stand that B-typesque attitude.

Saint Gallen

Brondby or AGF

I was more focused on the shit football part (a Boavista speciality), but fine, I'll give in to the low trophy count argument and accept V. Guimarães

Did they just have easy fixtures or did they turn into non-shitters?
I remember their CEO visiting my uni once. He was very autistic about Tilburg being the 5th largest city and should therefore be playing for playoffs every season. My professor summarily BTFO'd this sad excuse of failed marketing student by telling him that Willem II had the 15th budget of the league and should be fighting against relegation every season.

NUR DER HSV it is then

Hearts and Hibs

this

also the Saskatchewan Roughriders but thats an anomaly on every level

redpill me on ofi kreta

So much this.
Only going by absolute numbers is idiotic

Easy fixtures mostly. Problem with Willem II is they cant get much support, as almost municipalities bordering Tilburg (except 2 or 3) are NAC/PSV/RKC country and even with being the 5th biggest city, the catchment area is small. Support for NAC reaches from Breda to Zeeland. And all shitholes even 30km from Eindhoven like Uden Schijndel etc are PSV fans

Hajduk

spurs historically was the seccond club of london before chelskis oiil money

Sunderland

Energie Cottbus
they went from div 1 to div 4, somehow made it back to div 3 only to be relegated again right after

This would place them 10th in the Premier League on attendance, ahead of Leicester City (31,851)

NRL Australia.
Newcastle Knights. Just imploded again. Despite a packed stadium every home game.

This. Shithouse football with muh passion and muh local lads

west ham get 60,000 people to turn up in the worst stadium in english football every week to watch them fight off relegation for another year.

reckon they're going to be the next oil club.

They're just wildly inconsistent. I have a theory that I think they do it on purpose to spite the pundits predicting where they'll place.

Fredrikstad FK, also my team

>west ham get 60,000 people

more like 40,000. if you have ever been to the ground they are literally thousands of empty seats week in week out

Seth Jones, PK Subban, Wayne Simmonds are the ones highlighted most often by NHL

You have to wonder how they manage to squander all that potential. It's just utter nuts. They should at least be able to regularly compete with PSV Eindhoven, but nope.

Södermalm is very nice part of Stockholm. Thats why I go once a year to watch Hammarby lose.

the red wings haven’t been good in over a decade and the rest of the teams there are trash

The Cubs, and Red Sox were such garbage people piled onto them simply cause they were garbage. The Mets have an entire fanbase built around rooting for a shit team

The Raiders in the NFL have been shit and play in a toilet, but they still have a devoted fanbase worldwide (mostly cause ICE and La Migra deporting their fand but still
