Like watching a game on tv. Looks too easy though, AI looks a bit dumb and give the ball away too easy, and too easy to maintain possession. Miss the old pro evo games where you had midfield battles and not constant end to end counter attacks.
The old pro evo games were good because it felt like you were playing against intelligent opposition, you could play a 0-0 game and it'd feel like a hard fought match

PES 2019 was really good. I think the series has gotten back on track from PES 2017 and improved every year. I've yet to play PES 2020.

One problem about PES, the on field gameplay in itself is good but the surrounding game modes aren't as fun as and well rounded, they are less engaging than FIFA

I just downloaded the demo and honestly... I played with Barcelona and most of the player faces looked bad. But what shocked me the most was the animations and the kits... they looked like an amateur developer had made them... I hate FIFA and EA but PES is unplayable

I just played PES 2020 demo, it's actually kinda disappointing. It's a step backwards from PES 2019, in my opinion.

It used to be the case where even without option file, PES was a far superior game with far superior gameplay

The morale system is pretty neat, Nigel. The interaction with the players before this was nonexistent, so at the very least having that is pretty nice.

It's still nowhere near the FM autism I love, but at least I get an extremely lite version of that with actually passable gameplay sandwiched inbetween.

Also, Volta looks kinda neat, even if it's nowhere near as stylish as the older Fifa Streets were. I can only hope they fixed the sluggish mess that 19's gameplay was to some extent.

I preferred the gameplay in 19. This new one feels like they drastically changed it and i'm not a fan of how this one plays. Maybe I'll play the demo tomorrow some more but I played the 2019 demo like 20 hours. So much fun
I really liked pes 2019. Just wish the AI wasn't so rigged. The game plays great up to and including top player, but is a bit too easy. Once you up the difficulty to superstar the game turns into a different game, your players lose every duel and constantly get beaten one on one. Ruined the game for me because it turned into trying to game the way overpowered AI instead of playing football

Yeah you just use a USB stick and check some boxes, leave the game for 10 mins lets it transfer everything and you're fine. If your PC is linked with your PS4 you don't even need the stick

The Japan-only sequel to this was much better, largely because the super kicks weren't automatic goals, so there was more strategy/skill involved. Emulate it some time for a fun time.

Career mode means the most to me and despite FIFA's not being good, PES' is much worse.
