Bizn idea Monza wet all weekend so gimi stays the fastest f1 driver ever
So both 'rari drivers are shitters and carbabbies then (Vettel last year, Leclerc this year). And Max too because he spun. So Gasly is the only driver from the top three teams who hasn't spun in the wet at that circuit I think? Does this mean Gasly is the best driver on the grid?
>since when is lucking out on a weather gamble lucky Gee I dunno.
They just throwed the dice and prayed no to rain anymore, I gotta admit it was more clear to be dry than before, and thought it was silly not to risk if you were positions down.
And most important, Vettee could have won that race if he risked again with Strulovich and Blyat

vettee also rolled the dice for the fastest lap and almost lost it to kvyat cause the roll was bad. Kvy and Stroll did their best in an unterhund situation and their managers too, a role they are good at, so again I woldn't call it luck. Yes, Vettee could have rolled for danger and win it, but he played safe

Good on you, wasting sex on slags is something I regret deeply now that I've been in a relationship for three years and have the intention of getting married to this girl eventually.
>it felt like there was a lot more risk staying at Red Bull HAHAHA what a crock of shit
I never understood it. Red Bull took a long time to decide which engine to go with, they were deliberative about it and Horner kept saying they were looking at a lot data to make that decision (of course they had the Honda in the STR). Red Bull are one of the top teams, with one of the biggest budgets, and with big ambitions - so this is not a decision they would take if it had a lot of risk. They obviously believed the Honda would make them more competitive, otherwise they wouldn't have chosen it. So I just think it's a massive excuse from Ric to say "oh I didn't know how Honda would turn out". Maybe a bigger factor is that he thought Renault would come good like Merc did for Hamilton in 2013.
I actually get her point, but what a weird way of trying to say it, you dknt need to bring sexism or anything like that into it. "We arent far from a woman racing in F1" reads a lot better than "we arent far from a female racer in F1"

It was a fair concern, RB had the data from Honda but these data really showed they weren't exploding left and right like with McLel but performing and winning? They weren't showing that because STR wasn't in the position to do so. They took a gamble, and it's way more common thing than people thinks, they had the Renault threat that back last season was strong has they were looking like they were getting their shit together hiring key people and getting better results, their reasoning was probably that had Renault became good they would have had a serious threat by running the same engine, by going with Honda they thought "if things go bad we know we can bank on the car and not have a dumpster fire of a season". Ricci saw the same things RB did but chose the other option, and it's completely understandable, while teams can gamble for drivers it's much different as they look for stability. That 1 year ago. Saying now that Renault has more potential than Honda is plain bullshit and I hope he is just feeding the PR machine
Kayden Rogers

Serious question, are ya lads gonna be in here when juju claims his first formula victory?
Just want to add that I think Red Bull must've put a little less effort into convincing Ricciardo. I remember reading about having Verstappen visit the Honda factory prior to Ricciardo announcing his move. I'm sure they've at least mentioned some useful data that convinced Verstappen. Either way, both teams were a gamble and I can still see why Ricciardo would not feel any remorse towards his move. As far as he's concerned, neither team is really going to win the championship this year or the next. The Unterhunden are still the luckiest team in the history of F1, and I'm really doubting Ferrari came in any way close to snitching the title last year.
I fucking say tiny blocky and V10 powered cars with shitty front wings and some active aero on sidepods.
Dominic Moore
I guess at the end of the day even if Ricciardo was not performing badly, he's still older than max. And they expect his performance to degrade while Max's improves. It's pretty clear from the Baku incident that they were favoring max pretty heavily since they blamed them both for the accident instead of only max, whose fault it was primarily.
Carter Young
kek, she's still going.
it was pretty clear from the start, imo. Iirc, they started talking about wanting to make him a WDC as early as 2016. The heavy favoritism makes it a right choice to go to Renault, imo. While he's not winning anything right now, he's definitely being treated the way he should be. Honestly wish Vettel and Gimi retired this season, leaving Ferrari with no other option than to hire Ricci
Eh I dunno. RB had seen how much of a clusterfuck McLel-Honda was so they only would have made the switch if they were confident that the engine would be up to the task. I just think Ric must have been making the comparison to the Hamilton-Merc situation in his head. And from that perspective you could say it's possibly understandable - but even then I don't know. Surely you only make a move like that if you've seen some pretty good evidence that the team you're moving to is going to beat the team you're moving from in the near future.
>I think Red Bull must've put a little less effort into convincing Ricciardo They seemed pretty set on convincing him last year, I remember Horner going on about it a lot. >I can still see why Ricciardo would not feel any remorse towards his move Well obviously he wants to justify his move, even if it isn't great. He can't exactly go back. Although I was thinking today he probably should have tried to get Gasly's seat back for himself. Doubt it's possible with his Renault contract but fuck it, why not try at this stage. >As far as he's concerned, neither team is really going to win the championship this year or the next. You can't deny that RB are far, far closer though. And apparently RB think they can challenge for the title next year. I'm sceptical of that, but I still think they'll be far ahead of Renault, barring a huge upset. Newey has been making consistently amazing chassis for just over 10 years now.
>favouring max >favouritism I just don't agree, I haven't seen anything to support this in my view, while I did see the team actively wanting to keep Ric last year. I see no reason why RB would scheme against one of their drivers. Remember Malaysia 2013, "multi 21", the team orders to keep Webber in front, the supposed "second driver" according to some? Again I see no evidence that Webber was a second driver - I think he was just older, slower, less aggressive.

This. I know it's fashionable to hate him on here (especially the Italian autist) but he's a decent driver. Yeah he fucks up every now and then, but he wouldn't have podiumed in Germany. Leclerc, Bottas and Hamilton went off to in that race. Cyril basing taking Ocon just on one bad race for Hulk is dumb. There's no way to say that Ocon would be closer to Ricciardo. He'd probably be further away. >couldn't beat Perez >poor racecraft >a year of no racing and Ricciardo's second year in the team.

nobody, he is Mercedes version of Wehrlein.. wait.. what I'm trying to say is that the Mercedes young driver program sucks harder than the red bull academy in current year. but at least the red bull academy worked in the beginning.
Gasly is secretly the GOAT, Dishonorable Horner san sabotaged his car since he's Jos lover.
The cars became so big because of the turbo + battery system and electric engine, the same reason why they're so heavy too. Fat John (who represent the pilots) said himself that he pushed the FIA to go for a V10 for 2021 but they replied that he should go fuck himself basically because it would "hurt the sensibility of the public opinion".
What he means is that we can't have it because of trannies and women who will cry about the vroom vroom consuming too much gas, it's purely some virtue signaling shit, it's not a rationale approach.
Hell move the limit to 5 engines a year with a V8 and no electric, you will already have much lighter looking cars. My point is that you won't ever see nimble F1 again
1.That thing above the front tyres is a pure abomination. 2.Rear wing looks kinda bad should be fixed 3.I like the sides, no ugly half a meter floor 4.Nose looks good but front wing is again too damn wide 5.Halo blends well

So the Force India actually had enough downforce to perform in tracks like Interlagos back then? Interesting There must be a mean to reduce the size and weight of the car They should start by undoing the "+100 mm for basically everything" changes they did for 2018
>There must be a mean to reduce the size and weight of the car Refuelling but unironically At the start cars weight almost 100kg more than they do at the end, allow refueling and cars will instantly lose at least half of that weight
Alexander Brown
Maes, Jupiler, or worse lol?
Henry Howard
Refuelling will make races even more boring, calling it.
The most ironic of this "First look at new F12021 car" is they put the 3rd concept on the thumbnail. LOL

Jupiler would still be OK, as a standard beer. but it is almost always watered down Maes. just horrible. in early august I went to a festival in germany where they served Veltins. equally terrible.

Making the cars lighter wont make the racing better though, it'll just increase lift and coast and running engines in lower modes to save fuel.

There has not been a single incident since the introduction of the Halo that has warranted the Halo. Not even those incidents where Crofty & Co try to sweet talk it like Spa last year. The single best safety feature in the car, apart from maybe seatbelts, is the monocoque. Which continues to prove its worth.
