In 2002 the us came close to winning the World Cup. And the mls’ existence was credited with Americans actually being able to play in Europe as the catalyst. After years of youth soccer participation, how is it that we can’t even qualify? Did they remove the wuss element to the sport? I always thought Americans would be tough in soccer because our culture would never accept diving.
