After the race, a little impromptu pool party was thrown for him. Pedro insisted that the mechanics came too and my big memory of that is of Ron Dennis swimming up and down the pool, fully dressed in his formal suit.
> Pedro was my favourite driver, he was a racer. In Mexico in 1968, he came to me the night before the race and said ‘Casey, is my gearbox alright?’ I said ‘Yes, Pedro.’ ‘It’d better be,’ he said, ‘if not I’ll have the bandits take you off out into the hills and hang you.’ So I had another look at it, just to make sure.

Why doesn't Lewis Hamilton have a delicious brown WAG?
Button has only really settled down recently at the age of 38/39. Yeah he had a wife before that but it didn't work out. So Lewis is probably doing the same as Button, waiting until he's retired from F1 before settling down.
Source? I watched an interview where Hamilton said he doesn't have it in his contract that he can veto drivers, while other drivers like Vettel and Alonso apparently did. That could've changed though of course.
Hunter James
Also let's just say it was up to Hamilton - I reckon he'd keep Bottas because he knows he can beat him. Ocon is an unknown, and young drivers can come out of nowhere to be very good.

>getting butthurt at posts that have nothing to do with you Sad
>there is plenty of evidence for Hamilton being used in marketing and advertisement But that's not what your argument was, which was that Merc hasn't employed him for performance, but instead only for marketing reasons. Which strikes me as completely implausible. When we're talking about F1. A sport where every tenth counts. I'm not saying Hamilton, or any driver, is fucking flawless, because they're not, and Hamilton definitely isn't, because he fucks up all the time, but to think that Merc is employing him solely for marketing reasons and for nothing to do with performance at all makes zero sense. Especially since Merc's main audience is probably middle-aged white guys who don't give a shit about Lewis Hamilton.
Says the guy who thinks a straw man is a legitimate argument, tippety top kek.
>to think that Merc is employing him solely for marketing reasons and for nothing to do with performance at all makes zero sense. It makes a lot of sense. Unless you deny that practically everyone one the grid can easily win a championship in the Mercedes. The only reason to hire someone for as much money as Hamilton, when two Bottas-type drivers would suffice and Hamilton is as much of a diva as he is, is if you can make proportionally more money back by keeping him. And that's where his value lies: Advertisment and publicity. That you even deny this shows how desperate you are to make Hamilton out as something he is not.

>Unless you deny that practically everyone one the grid can easily win a championship in the Mercedes Bottas can't seem to. Rosberg did once, but failed twice (and was helped by mechanical failures of his teammate). Getting another driver would be an enormous risk - you never know whether they'll perform. Who would they even get? Ric would have been an option perhaps but he would probably take time to settle in, you never know how that will go. Max would be another consideration but would cost a lot to get from RB, and again you don't know how long it will take for the driver to get used to the new team, etc. It's just an unnecessary risk. Same reasons why Schumacher wasn't dumped by Ferrari during their winning years, I would imagine.
Also let's say Merc did dump Hamilton because he was costing too much. Then he might go to Ferrari or Red Bull, taking a lot of information with him. I dunno, maybe they sign NDAs so they can't spill the beans on their old team to their new team, but it still means losing a relatively good driver to a competitor.
>advertisement and publicity I mean I personally doubt Hamilton is that valuable from a marketing perspective, especially for Mercedes, whose customers are old white guys, like I said. But in any case, your claim earlier was not that marketing might be a part (which could be true, but which I'm still sceptical of). Your claim was that Merecedes want to keep employing him "[n]ot because he can win in the car - anyone on the grid can do that with number one status. But because he's commercially succesful". Which is just dumb, especially since the Hamilton-Rosberg fight of 2014-2016 shows us that any idea of a "number one driver" in that team did not exist. And I have no reason to think there's a hierarchy between Hamilton and Bottas - team orders were only used last year once Hamilton was ahead, and Merc had to fight off a title challenge from Ferrari, forcing them to pick their best-placed driver to back.
Joseph Hall
>Bottas can't seem to. Because he's the number two. And even then, this year he's second behind his number one. So, yes, he'd easily be able to.
>Rosberg did once, but failed twice (and was helped by mechanical failures of his teammate) Oh, look, it's that "Hamilton was unlucky" shit again. Yeah, no. Make Rosberg the number one and he wins all of them.
>Getting another driver would be an enormous risk - you never know whether they'll perform. Bullshit. Mercedes easily dominates. Bottas right now would be a safe enough bet. You're really underselling everyone but Hamilton, including Mercedes. It's not a midfield car, but levels above even its closest "competitors".
>why Schumacher wasn't dumped by Ferrari Ferrari weren't even remotely as dominant as Mercedes, and probably would have been nowhere without Schumacher. You might not like that, but that's how it is. I also believe you weren't around at that time, were you? You recently stated that you consider everyone above 25 old.
>Which is just dumb, especially since the Hamilton-Rosberg fight of 2014-2016 shows us that any idea of a "number one driver" in that team did not exist Really? Because Malaysia 2013 showed very much that there was a clear number one. As did the different public treatment of both drivers when they caused accidents. Sorry, but all evidence for your "no number one" theory is what Toto and Hamilton have confessed to.
>And I have no reason to think there's a hierarchy between Hamilton and Bottas Come on now ...

>Ferrari weren't even remotely as dominant as Mercedes
This is what every Netflix zoomer doesn't realise. They see the dominance on paper with the WDC results but they didn't see other teams win races, other drivers battle Michael - and Michael do that utterly inhumane next level shit to seal the deal. It wasn't as fucking fatalistically boring as what MWL has been since 2014. There weren't the races like in 2014 where a Mercedes went down the grid because of a fuckup or a penalty but yet 10 laps later is chasing a podium.

I know English probably isn't your first language so for that some understanding should be given, but you really need to learn what terms mean before waxing lyrical about them: >conspiracy >a secret plan by a group to do something unlawful or harmful Your assertion is that Merc have a secret favouritism for Ham (which would be harmful to Bottas, of course). Merc have always publicly stated that they let their drivers race against each other at the beginning of each season (like I've said multiple times this can change towards the end of a season when teams decide, reluctantly, to favour whichever driver is leading the WDC at that point, because it gives them the best chance of winning the WDC).
Yeah, go read the dictionary, Junge.
Gabriel Myers

>On lap 17, Briton Chris Bristow, driving a Cooper, was fighting for sixth with Belgian Willy Mairesse. The very young Bristow, having never driven at Spa before, was known as a brash and daring driver who had a reputation for being rather wild; the relatively inexperienced 22-year-old Englishman had been in lots of accidents in his short career. This was due to his unruly and very aggressive driving style, and he was possibly in way over his head at Spa-Francorchamps. Mairesse was also known as an equally aggressive driver who had a win-at-all-costs mentality and was known to be difficult to pass, particularly on his home track. The fact that these 2 drivers were racing against each other on this track meant that disaster was perhaps inevitable. Bristow and Mairesse touched wheels, and the Englishman lost control at Malmedy, overturned and crashed into an embankment on the right side of the track. The car rolled and flipped a number of times, Bristow was thrown from his car and was beheaded and killed instantly by some barbed-wire fencing next to the circuit; his body partially landed on the track where it stayed for some time.

They immediately arrested him but Louis Stanley persuaded the police to bring him back for the race. We prepared the car and popped it onto the grid to wait for its driver. The police turned up with Ronnie in their car, and he stepped straight out of the police car and into the race car, so he could do the race. Then, as soon as the race was over, the police were there again. He was out of the race car, back into the police car and down to the police station. They kept him in overnight and Louis negotiated for his release on the Monday morning. It was unfair because he was a nice guy: not an aggressive type of person at all.”
Imagine watching a season of Formula 1 where you don't know who will still be alive at the end of the year. Wild stuff. Proof that the British are disingenuous cunts. "Oh yes here you go Mika, you're allowed to drive down this road." "No wait, we changed out minds, off to jail for you!"

yeah, not like Kimi had any of the team's mistake going against him also Montoya's salary that year was higher, so I doubt the team was developing the car having Kimi in mind
Blake Perry
If you don't know what terms mean then go and learn what they mean before you get it wrong, which is what you've been doing.
>REEEEEEE WHY AREN'T YOU POSTING GIMI MEMES Fucking pathetic twats
Nathan Roberts
>a german and a british It's like Brits and the French Or Brits and the Irish. Or Brits and other Brits.
Jose Hall
>you will never hear the italian anthem again after a race
I just think it's funny and entertaining in a sad and pathetic way that you argue with some other retard for 10 hours over dumb shit well into the night.
What would be even funnier is if you samefagged for 10 hours, trying to goad some easily baited idiot into responding, but ended up only arguing with yourself. By YHWH it would be so funny, pathetic and retarded, almost an oscar-worthy tragicomedy.
Jacob Rodriguez
That carpet is fucking pigging.

>Implying Gasly's redemption arc won't start in Monza

>Last stories of Carrie on her IG, lying on her bed speaking german things. MUH DICK
Who is that guy and why the fuck do you keep doxing him? Doxing is against the rules, right? And it's basically avatarposting given how frequently you post this shit.

Don't bother replying at this point. He's been false flagging trying to get /f1/ banned for some time after his other ideas didn't work. Notice his other post yesterday in this thread with exactly the same format.
Also notice how he's pushing his German/Brit gimmick hard lately too. An odd little creature for sure.
>Rakesh full name and adress gets posted >Who is that guy What the fuck else do you want, his dental records?
Mason Mitchell
This post - - was a verbatim copy of a post I made yesterday. Maybe you posted the copy so that you could post this reply and pretend that there's someone making the same posts in every thread? Sad.
An odd little creature you must be to try and fabricate stuff like this. NOW FUCK OFF WITH YOUR "THREAD CELEBRITY" BULLSHIT, THIS IS A FUCKING F1 THREAD, DISCUSS F1 OR FUCK OFF
Owen Martinez
>can't understand the obvious meaning of a question Sad
Hunter Ortiz
imagine carrie nursing you in bed, stroking your head and talking about racing and f1 in german with her cute, high pitched voice
Robert Gray
Carrie is on a special diet. She only eats food she can get off with.
This has sadly only resulted in her spending more time in her room.
Angel Allen
you can't respond though because you don't speak german and your mouth is full of milk
>tfw you will never tickle Carrie and have her laugh in her cute, high pitched voice while she tries to get you to stop
William Sanders
What happens if she notices I'm getting a cheeky stiffy?
Jordan Fisher
Ok fine.
Rakesh Bhatia is a writer who worked for years as a mail carrier. An alcoholic, womanizing misanthrope, he serves as both the protagonist and antihero of the generals in which he spams, which span from his poverty-stricken childhood to his middle age, in which he finds some small success as a screenwriter.
Some of the features of the Rakeshian persona: excessive alcohol consumption; love of art (classical music, literature); solitude and self-isolation; volatile relationships (especially with women); self-effacement; nihilism; counterfeit watches; and the violation of societal norms.

She lost weight but her boobs seem to have grown. Maybe we'll get preggo Viccy soon.
She gives you a playful slap, calls you a perv and then spends the rest of your conversation staring at it while biting her lip, only responding to your questions with 'yeah' and 'umm'.
Jace Harris

They will inevitably split up and she'll get fatter than ever before
I'll still enter Victoria as Thiccy Viccy in /f1W/ anyway

Benjamin Roberts
Fitty Thiccy Viccy No really because I'd use the Big Nick/Ingerlund model

Liberty wants more standardisation for 2021, but Binotto doesn't like it; probably because he knows it will make smaller teams closer to his team in performance.
>And that's how I told Nando: "Yes I'll keep a seat on Mclaren", "I'm sure you're gonna be in here in 2020 or 2021" and the most blilliant "We gonna build a competitive car". >Wow >Brutal >The absolute madman.
Kayden Wright
A bit of Jean Todt and a bit of Ron Dennis in him
Jonathan Phillips
Formula 1 has run through too much talent in the past few years, swallowing them and spitting them out, so now they have to scrape the bottom of the barrel in F2
Mason Turner
It's not gonna be Dennis enough if he has not an autistic underground car garage or he doesn't take the Honda pill and ragequit F1 afterwards.
Charles Brown
Well to be honest I was specifically talking about the looks
