Wild hogs aren't dangerous. Pumas are very cautious and you can throw stones at them and they'll leave (if they don't sneak up on you before you see them). Niggers and the kilometers upon kilometers of nothingness are the real dangers. Snakes may be dangerous if you don't have access to a car but I've found snakes literally just slither away and leave you alone if they see you, the problem is if they don't see you and you get in there personal space so to speak.
