Why do *ngloids have this retarded way of building stadiums?

Why do they Build stadiums with such asymetrical fashion? Pic related is St James Park, the stadium of NORF FC. You have two gigantic stands as big as Bernabeu and then two small stands that are literally Ligue 1 tier.

Is this Autism?

My guess is that as soon as they got Funding to increase one Grandstand they do it.

So poor that they can't even finish their construction properly. LMAO

I can't name one iconic French football stadium

This

Because it's easier to build one big stand to increase capacity.

Bait

It's way cooler than having a boring symmetrical stadium. Each stand should have its own character and therefore soul.

might have something to to with the apartment complex in the way m8

What's unique about it? It's just another cookie cutter

Stade velodrome

Looks like any other stadium

There's no point making the small side bigger as the cameras are there so any extra space for sports direct adverts won't be visible.

soulless shithole

Imagine not being within earshot to the opposing goal keeper and giving him so much abuse he starts making mistakes and loses the game for them.

SOUL

Sometimes it can be due to building codes and regulations. For example Craven Cottage has one stand historically protected, and the other two bordering on other property, so the only stand that can be developed is the riverside stand.

In this pic you can see the residential building on the small sides which probably limits the possibility of expanding that stand.

They cannot expand in any other way because of nearby housing.

It's a great stadium you ignorant wanker.

wow, so this is the power of English stadiums

Attached: 96 was not enough.jpg (625x417, 75K)

the stadium was fine. it was the fans who caused this

They could always do it the Liverpool way and bully the people out of their homes so they can expand the stand

now this is more like it

Which proves my point you moron, Stadiums close to pitch is Subhuman tier and Dangerous.

Parc des princes is beautiful though

The difference is that the properties near Anfield are worthless, while those next to SJP are city centre houses. It would cost much more to bully the owners out.

See "Docklands Stadium".
There are reasons, namely "making sure there is good grass on the pitch".

Was nothing to do with how far they were from the pitch, they were caged in which doesn't happen anymore. Football fans in the 80s were treated like animals.

Having the stands close to the field is what the English do right. If they also had safe standing it would be perfect.

beautiful

that would extend into bishops park which i didnt think they had approval for yet. the riverside stand they announced approval way back in like 2012. I just know Johnny Haynes stand is untouchable and Hammersmith end is right up against housing

Too salty for me but I can see why people like them.

there's a famous scene in the show "Only Fools and Horses" when the pub is serving beef stew for like £2 and then some ponce comes in and the pub landlord says its "beef bourguignon" and charges him like £10

I don't think it belongs to any particular franchise but they just play 5 charity games per year which no team really likes because it fucks up their schedules

We haven't won anything in years. How would we have become a plastic club with that being the case?

I'm genuinely curious at where you're coming from here, care to explain?

It's a rundown shithole, the Glazer's have done nothing to the interior in years. There are some areas of the stadium where you cannot even get food and drinks.

what are they eating in Andorra?

Not having won anything but being big is the main reason why a whole new generation of millenials support the Spurs, much like Atletico is also many times more popular than the size of their trophy room.
Spurs draw all their support from the home counties and overseas craft beer bars yet there's still people on here ardently pretending like it's some real club.

Looks like Perth Stadium or the MCG, which is kino 2bh.

You're just talking straight up nonsense at this point.

Spurs are literally the most hated team in London.
Chelsea, West Ham, Arsenal, all have us as their number one rivals.

I don't know and frankly I don't give a shit about what people think of Spurs overseas, I also don't really give a shit what other people in England think about us. They're my club, I was at the last ever game held at White Hart Lane. The New Stadium is excellent and being part of the wall is a fantastic feelings.

It would be good if the single tiered stand had safe standing, but unfortunately the FA will never allow it and you’re just stuck with this toilet bowl as a stadium for the next century

>it's like this for sunlight
>sunlight
>in scotland

lol. the lower side of the stadium is the old stand, parts of the building that's still been there since like 1930s, to build that side up the same as the newer stands was going to complicate construction and increase cost too much at the time.

The Valley had to be rebuilt with money the fans raised, it still seats 27,000 which is a lot considering the away end is detached and fairly small, if they filled it in it would be like a 35,000 stadium. The Valley used to be one of the biggest stadiums in the world and had the biggest terrace in the UK. It all came to an end because of Hillsborough.

I can't really begin to explain my feelings towards Boothferry Park. In my times there, towards the end, it was a partially-condemned tin box, where the rust flakes would rain down on your head if the weather was bad.

Still, the atmosphere was electric in a way these identikit modern bowls just can't replicate, especially under the floodlights, it was one of the first grounds in the country to get them. The place had a long history, with it's own train station and losing it's large North stand to build a Kwik Save supermarket when the club was in dire financial straits. It wasn't our first ground but it was where the soul of Hull City Association Football Club was really born.

Attached: 1222-listing-thumb-1800.jpg (1800x1156, 276K)

By my time the only two stands really in use where the two across from this picture. Though I remember one Division 3 game against Scarborough (RIP), a desperate clash with both teams looking like they might be the ones relegated from the football league. People flooded onto the cracked concrete terracing that hadn't been stood on in decades, I thought they'd abandon the game.

It ended up going ahead for a 1-1 draw and by the end of that season, Hull City were safe. Meanwhile Scarborough fell out of the league thanks to a certain goalkeeper called Jimmy Glass, never recovered and went out of existence. City meanwhile played in the Premier League less than a decade later, after a ferocious rise through the leagues in our shiny new KC Stadium.

This is correct

T. Newcastle fan

>1 (One) European Cup

>tickets $3.50 inc. burger buffet value bucket

The answer is because it was the home of football, small stadiums were built and expanded and football stadiums were built into cities and towns, and shit built up around them, leaving situations where in 50 years they need to expand but have limited space and local politics prevents it. For example, Arsenal couldn't expand Highbury, so they moved. The Emirates could not be the 80,000 or whatever they wanted because the local council said 'you cannot have higher than 60,000 unless you expand the local train station as well' which would have cost like £150m or so. Something their Jew owner refuses to do and are happy to sell out each week.

Other nations had no particular old school attachment to stadiums and were happy to build brand new modern stadiums in the middle of nowhere. Doesn't work here.

This is 100% the case. United and Liverpool are too obvious. Chelsea and City are oligarch money clubs. And Arsenal isn't relevant to anyone under 30. That leaves spurs. Easily reachable in London so they can go to 'their' club while on a city trip.
