It's difficult to get arrested, if you're white, unless you drink and drive. Most Euros really struggle with the lack of public transport in the US. You can take a cab or Uber but other than in New York city, trains and busses are virtually useless

We really hate buses. I was in SF and decided to take the bus because why not. Full of fucking disgusting people. I wouldn't even dare get on a bus in LA what's the fucking point? BART in bay area is ok if you're close to the stations. I can only imagine taking public transport in Baltimore or DC, no way a white boy makes it home.

if his wife likes a global city atmosphere then i can understand if she hated bethesda or loudoun; they are great places to quietly raise a family but awful if you're the see-and-be-seen type. bethesda is much closer to dc, lots of politicians live there.
