Mandanda was born in Congo.
Luis Monti, Raimundo Orsi and Enrique Guaita were born in Argentina but won the WC with Italy in 34. Monti actually lost the 1930 final playing for Argentina. Guaita won the WC and then went back to Argentina and won the 1937 Copa America.

In 2011 this Brazilian passed a his Dutch citizen test and he is eligible to play for our national team despite being born in Brazil, no ties to The Netherlands apart from having played at FC Twente. I remember this because people were seething at the time that it was hard for foreigners to get a citizenship and this guy gets a free pass because he knows how to kick a ball.
Angel Rodriguez

So is this a neck thread then? How do you get your neck to blend like that? I've been taking the pill for 2 years now, twice weekly, and my neck is muscular af BUT the actual circumference remains 16". My neck looks abnormally sinewy yet those guys with big neck don't have those popping sinews.

Lucas Sanchez
Citizenship is enough I believe cuz this dude didnt come to Poland until adulthood and he sure as shit isn't Polish.
Henry Thomas
I wonder how it works for players in ex-yu. We have so many athletes from Bosnia and I'm pretty sure that in theory anyone born in Bosnia can play for Croatia. There might be a special ruling. I have no idea. Someone redpill me on this.
Bentley Wilson
One grandparent, or a special exception made by FIFA, which usually involves naturalised players who've lived there half their lives.
For a current example, Kemal Ademi could represent four different national teams, Albania and Kosovo through heritage, Switzerland through naturalisation and Germany through birth.
For a particularly ridiculous example, Sandy Walsh is eligible to represent 6 different national teams
Robert Diaz
I think it depends on what it was when they were born

The player, at least one of the player's parents, or at least one of the player's grandparents have to have been born in the territory of the country they want to represent. Alternatively, they have to have gained citizenship and lived continuously in the territory for 5 years after the age of 18. Exceptions tend to be made for players who grew up in a country after being born elsewhere, even if their parents were likewise born elsewhere. Furthermore, there is a separate agreement in the UK that players have to have had 5 years of education before the age of 18 in the relevant territory to be eligible for that nation, so a player born in Scotland could represent England if they spent 5 years in education in England. This means the naturalisation rule doesn't currently apply to the UK. Additionally, Northern Irish-born players are automatically also eligible for the Republic of Ireland.

Colton Lopez
You do know that muslims aren't a race?
They're slavs (serbs, croats) whose ancestors converted and now created the non-existant ethnicity "bosniak".
Andrew Thompson
Because they're ethnic Croats, retard. You can get our citizenship based on blood, parents' nationality. B&H is a country of three (two) ethnicities; "bosniaks", serbs, croats. Serbs and Croats (mostly) don't want to play under the B&H flag.
Oliver King
That's why I wrote "son of", they born in Germany but parents were ausländer.
