Oh yeah you're right, because broadcasters in other countries DEFINITELY aren't interested in athletes and circuits from their own countries. No, OF COURSE not!
For example, this ISN'T a video of Dutch TV celebrating Max's win at Malaysia 2017. No, it's just a figment of your imagination!
She is right. None of the drivers are learning how to perform in a proper team environment and it is gonna show if they end up getting seats elsewhere. Chadwick is the only which might get away with it because she is doing sim work for Williams.
Thomas Gomez
She's absolutely right.
Jonathan Carter
I know you're baiting but the point was that SkyF1 is the international feed which would mean that they're neutral but yet wank the guys off with even a sliver of britishness (they even claimed Albon is more british than Thai).
Adam Nguyen
Then blame F1 for using Sky as the international feed. Sky are obviously going to talk about British drivers because they're British, just like Dutch TV will focus on Max, and Thai TV will talk about Albon, etc. Sorry mate, that's how it is.

Watching Polish broadcast, they barely even mention Kubica, knowing that there's no point in focusing on some guy only because he's Polish
That is the point, he is dead last so they don't talk much about him.
Meanwhile British journalists hype Russell up through the roof, putting him in all "best drivers" rankings despite him not proving anything yet and being the only driver with zero points.
Heck, they even rated Russell higher than Kubica in Monaco GP despite Robert being faster and better that race. Their bias is sickening.

I feel responsibility to drop a reply once in a while so the thread's quality doesn't go completely shit
Also by the way I don't know why you think I'm "baiting"? Baiting is where someone posts something just because they want (You)s. I was responding to posts that I thought were ridiculous and saying why I thought they were ridiculous.
If someone wanted to bait /f1/ then the easy way to do that would be to post something like "Kimi Raikkonen is shit and I don't know why you're all so obsessed with him. Pathetic." And then /f1/ would post a bunch of images of Raikkonen and say things like "GIMI :D" over and over again.
Firstly Russell did win F2 last year so maybe that's why they're hyping him. Although yes many F2/GP2 winners turned out to be dogshit, but still. Secondly Russell only has zero points because Williams are shit - Russell has still beaten Kubica in 10 races, while Kubica has only beaten Russell in 2. And finally, like I mentioned in this thread before, if you think other broadcasters from other countries don't get hyped about their own sportspeople then you're deluded.
You can also say that Russell pushes all the time because he is overambitious and Kubica pushes only when it matters, that's why he performed better than Russell in only two races when they had a real chance for scoring points (Monaco and Germany).
Also I just told you that Polish broadcasters don't get much hyped about Kubica.
Jack Moore
>Although Carey spoke about F1’s 70th anniversary in 2020 – by referencing the season’s opening round in Australia – he steered clear of mentioning (rumoured) plans to produce a ‘Seventy Years of F1’ documentary on a multi-part style basis. A production deal is believed to have been inked between Liberty and Sky TV in early August, with the series scheduled for next summer.
>Also I just told you that Polish broadcasters don't get much hyped about Kubica Then they are an exception. And maybe it's because Kubica is usually around at the back. Dutch broadcasters get hyped about Max. I bet American broadcasters got hyped about Alex Rossi. In fact if you think British broadcasters are jingoistic then watch American broadcasters and their coverage of literally anything American in an international setting. If America is a 10/10 on the scale of jingoism, Britain is probably a 3/10.

The mum of the British Formula One driver tipped as the next Lewis Hamilton is a fraudster – jailed for a £7.5million car scam.
Race ace Alex Albon’s mother Kankamol, 47, got six years for swindling cash through a luxury motors pyramid scheme.
She sold Ferraris, Bentleys Bugattis and Rolls-Royces at discounted rates to investors with the promise of selling them on again for quick profits.
But most customers never got theirs – and one car was sold to two different people.
She used money from new victims to pay disgruntled customers – and persuaded others to “roll over” profits.
Victims lost houses and businesses but Kankamol owned a £4 million country pile in Essex with its own moat.
The mum of five also spent £10,000 a year sending her children to private school. Alexander Albon is tipped as the next Lewis Hamilton (Image: Getty) Read More
Kankamol – estranged from Alex’s dad Nigel – was arrested in 2008 after going bust.
She admitted false representation and cheating the public revenue.
Jailing her at Ipswich Crown Court in 2012, Judge Rupert Overbury called it a “massive, greed-driven fraud. You persistently defrauded investors.

Det Con Adrian Finbow of Suffolk Police said later: “Her sole motivation was excessive greed – the desire to buy luxury goods and live an opulent lifestyle.”
Her house was repossessed and police even sold off her Mulberry handbags to claw back £60,000.

Yes. Probably. Everyone outside Britain was sick of Britain, their frequent exceptions from every EU rule and their vetoes on common sense agreements. Hamilton's could retire within five years. If even that. They'll at some point need a younger number one, not an old number two. I'm sure they'd have no trouble luring someone like amx but it's safer to have their own talent pool to piss in.
Although I'm not sure what scares Hamilton more - racing past his prime and knowing he is the problem, not the car, or fading into retire and eventual irrelevancy.

>Hambo took 2 or 3 new engines at spa one year (2015 I think) It was 2016. The season that all Hamiltonshitters claim Hamilton only lost because of "bad luck" and that was "so close". Which, in light of that "loophole" (or rather, FIA-bias for Hamilton), and the immense late season advantage against Rosberg, is rather laughable. So, it kinda matters which year it was, because without that kind of trickery, Hamilton's "late season surge" would not have happened and he would have lost by a huger margin than Rosberg lost 2015.

I think it could lead to better racing personally, and like I said, you wouldn't need to necessarily standardise everything on the car, just maybe make the chassis a bit more standardised (still with some areas that can be customised) to reduce costs and make the field more competitive. /f1/ is always complaining about MWL and this sort of measure would make the field much more competitive.
Jesus christ, Hans. You know you won't get anywhere arguing with a halfwit, right?

I feel like you're probably right because I think that's what I was taught in school and what I've read in books, but I feel it doesn't make sense intuitively because I'm not quoting a comma.
Fair point. I think the rule is really more applicable to formal writing than wojakposting on Yea Forums, as with the former any quotations should operate as a regular clause in your sentence.
Joshua Perez
I looked it up out of boredom and apparently the style I used is mostly preferred in Britain, while your style is mostly preferred in America. But not precisely because apparently some Americans still prefer the "British style" in technical writing, like scientific papers etc., while some Brits still apparently use the "American style" in fiction, which is probably why I've seen it in books and saw it in English classes.
In American """"English"""", the periods and commas go inside the quotations, end of, whereas in British English it's a little more complicated. Then again, your post was not a coherent, structured sentence so it's hard to tell where to put it.
Jack Hill
That makes sense, thanks for your post. I educated in the British system so that explains why I never learnt about the punctuation inside quotations thing until uni
