In all seriousness the MLS and SPL are about on par in terms of quality of play from what I've witnessed, but the Scottish structure is much better than our stupid playoff shit. My local club is in the second tier so I unironically follow Rangers more closely than any MLS franchise

MLS is more enjoyable to watch. I'm not sure if it's better quality though as the SPL does appear to actually play with defenders at times.

MLS is more entertaining as it seems as though most of the clubs are on a similar level with each other, while in Scotland the only teams who have been able to win the league are Rangers and Celtic, the latter of which won everything since 2012. But I would say that the SPFL (or at least the teams in the top half of it) are better than MLS teams on average

The US mens team is obviously a lot better than Scotland. Their league is more competitive as there's complete financial parity but fairly sure Celtic, Rangers and Aberdeen would beat any mls team.

Next top 20 teams - 18 MLS, 2 SPL
bottom 20 - 18 SPL, 2 MLS

And the gap for the national team program is just as wide now, it isn't particularly close.
and that gap is going to get much much wider whenever MLS feels like it.
