Vince dosen't make logical decisions but I can see it from his side. You had Bret Hart, Diesel, Razor Ramon, Shawn Michaels, some guys who looked hot at the time like Adam Bomb and Crush that never really took off.. It does make sense that he would want to keep older stars out of the main event, even if they were just there to put over the younger guys.
What the fuck up and coming stars exist today? 53 year old Goldberg mogs and looks like he could kill 90% of the roster, especially NXT. Once they run out of old stars and run out of ROH alumnis to unsuccessfully push and then bury that's going to just be it for the WWE. All the stars they made are guys from the Attitude or Ruthless Aggression eras. When was the last time they "made a star"? Jinder? You're right, it's the promotion's responsibility to both scout potential stars and then make them into stars with your booking, giving them a chance to shine and show that X factor. You can't do that with Vince's autistic total control.
