Teams Racing today >Kazakhstan Syria Mongolia Venezuela (already gone) >uzbekistan zimbabwe >Sudan Cuba Angola Vietnam
"wtf is this" >legit tank race held in russia annually with assorted countries turning up to compete. All use t72b except indian uses their t-90 Bhishma and china use their type-96b
rules? >Its a time race with a staggered start >Start with a Slalom >Then 3 main gun rounds at a tank target at 1600, 1700 and 1800 meters >Lap of the track >Pintle mounted hmg to shoot a helicopter target at 800-1000 meters >Lap of the track >Use coaxial machine gun to hit a man sized target at 600-800 meters. >finale lap and finish
>Crews must fully dismount before shooting and then load the ammo into the tank >Missing targets adds extra length to the lap after shooting. >Some sections of the course have black and white posts that if hit, have a stop for 10 seconds penalty >All hatchs must be closed for fireing excluding HMG of course (pleb crews seem to forget this alot) >Crews do get a reserve tank in case of complete mechanical failure
Highlights so far >Several african nations running the tanks in high gear and getting stuck or destroying the engine >zimbabwe cheer squad complete with drums and head dresses singing for an hour straight >Myanmar crashing into a ditch >Iran burning their tank down after forgetting to reopen the air intake after a water crossing >zimbabwe stopping an having an ambulance attend them (ruski chat guessed a hand got pinched by an auto loader but nothing serious) >zimbabwe some how opening the bottom hatch below the driver while traveling at 40 kmph >cuba going one better than both and flooding their tank and then on the next lap with thier reserve tank they flooded that one as well >And even better Sudan did the same thing in the same race all while dragging it out to 58 minutes (average time is 20min, Russian and Chinese normally hit 17mins) >tajikistan trying to go full nuclear for the whole world to see by loading their ammo wrong.
>(ruski chat guessed a hand got pinched by an auto loader but nothing serious) I think that's impossible in T-72B, that was only a problem on the very first T-64s. Maybe he just smacked his hand on something, tank is an unpleasant place to be.
Liam Gutierrez
well they started this one by braking their tank on the starting line before moving then broke into song.
My hopes are so high to see cuba and sudan drown 4 tanks between them again next race
Are the participants all nations that have russian tanks in their arsenal?
Luis Campbell
nope. Russia gives free t72b's to anyone who cant bring their own tank. Uganda is competing and they only have ww2 hand down tanks to their name that probably haven't ran for 50 years
Kayden Peterson
>Zimbabwe just drowned another
Jordan Howard
at least they made it out of the water before stopping
Race finished >1st Uzbekistan 2/5 hits 27:45 >"2nd" Zimbabwe 0/5 hits DNF at 52:30 and 2 dead tanks
So that was a tank dead on the start, an ammo loading problem, cruising in first gear the whole course and then drowning their reserve tank at the 52 minute mark. Amazing
Next div 2 race is scheduled in 3 hours but there is no second race for 1st div to run in between so hopefully the just run it sooner
3rd and finale race of the heats and of the day is >Sudan/blue >Cuba/green >Angola/red >Vietnam/yellow Cuba and Sudan were next level retardation last time they went so im defiantly sticking around
Vietnam runs t90s so i doubt user error. I Imagine after 6 days straight of getting flogged they are starting to malfunction. >autoloader superior than man comrade >much more reliable than early models >faster than man loader >what do you mean the war last more than a week?
Anthony Morales
Why is Sudan choking this hard? Their first shot was great.
Jayden Flores
Sudan got a DNF 2 days ago after flooding their tank in the water crossing on the first lap through user error. They did the same thing at the same point on their 2nd lap by which time it was 58 minutes
Sudan has dug in and intends to siege out the infantry i see
John Cook
the guy talking through the radio sounds frustrated
Luke Ortiz
What's the holdup? Coax jammed?
Luke Evans
it was the russians who made them stop
>sudan in charge of unloading PK at a spectator sport after giving up without even taking a shot they were taking so long cause they dropped a cartridge in the tank
2nd race 2nd div >1st Cuba 1/5 33:39 >2nd Vietnam 3/5 37:46 autoloader malfunctions >3rd Angola 1/5 hits 39:14 >4th Sudan 1/5 hits 1:02:32 (NEW RECORD)
based 2nd div rewards those who wait. Id comment on the rest of the race but im blank after sudan just tried to "youre pretty cool dont go the the spectator stand tomorrow"
Thats the last of the heats Semi finales will be in 2 days and will only be div 1 followed the next day by div2 semis
Just wanted to say that your threads are absolutely delightful to read :)

I was called away during Vietnam's issues, was it a basic mechanical malfunction or did Charlie fuck up?
Colton Long
So now they're doing slalom, or is this footage from earlier?

OP here i dont know what this round is theres nothing on the schedule about one on now and not ever these teams racing in the past. Perhaps a show match or a tie breaker?
These Russkis have brass balls allowing those incompetent Africans to handle that heavy artillery. This could never take place in the US

I suddenly got nostalgic of gains-era /sg/ and "behead those who " Also, it took fucking ages to find any details/times/etc (missed the stream), this is what if found from wikijew and Cyrillic Runes. Participants with flags (pic related) and schedule
>Results for"div 1" Unsurprisingly, the countries with the biggest military budgets and most advanced ground warfare doctrines are at the top of the table, followed by ex-USSR countries and ones which have had (Syria, Serbia, Armenia, Azerbaijan) recent military conflicts. Although, an Armenian, Serbian and Persian crew (1 of 3) has 0% hit rate.
>Results for "Division Banana Republics" Tajiks and Uzbeks have managed sub-30 minute times. Peaceful Burmese kebab-removing Buddhists have managed a perfect hit ratio but some abysmal driving, I'd love to see a replay of that.
