Connor Howard
i just watched it last night for koshien miracle preparation
Oliver Howard
Name of this kino?
Isaiah Wilson
title on their shirts: kino is Kano. Kano kino.
Wyatt Garcia
i was watching the Asahi TV Special it had some sad stories, like the guy that made an HR in tribute to his dad that had died in same year he got onto koshien
oh didnt see that, i just had chrome translate it for me lol
Grayson Morales
lmao lol, google translate to english is useful an lot on this website
John Roberts
yeah clearly. i went through all of last koshien without it
Joseph Davis
Who knows? Her parallel could very well be there right now. You could root for Ritsumeikan Uji in honor of her home town and prefecture (Uji-shi, Kyoto-fu).
B4: Pitcher throws a complete game I4: Pitcher throws two complete games. N4: Pitcher throws three complete games. G4: Pitcher throws four complete games. O4: Pitcher throws four and a half complete games.
Hachinohe Kosei Gakuin are a private school from the northern prefecture of Aomori. They're a koshien powerhouse known for recruiting mostly from the other side of the country around Osaka. As such, most of their players are not from Aomori. Their most famous alumni is Hayato Sakamoto (iconic shortstop of the Yomiuri Giants)
Daniel Lee
nigga it was three outs, first out was a sac bunt then a strike out then the lineout to shortstop they play very quickly compared to pros, games are over in less than 2 hours usually
Isaac Foster
is grandlam an automatic inning end?
Nolan Wright
>mfw you get so anxious that ends up going to bathroom on first inning
>down by 4 >sac bunt bros I don't think I'm gonna make it this year
Andrew Watson
Homare (Aichi) Batting Lineup 5-Uchida (3B) 4-Tetsuka (2B) 6-Sawano (SS) 3-Yoshida(1B) 2-Hayashiyama(C) 7-Sakamata(LF) 9-Saka(RF) 10-Sugimoto(P) 8-Matsuda(CF) Homare are a small private school from the large prefecture of Aichi (Centered around Nagoya). They've never attended Koshien before and they come from a traditionally strong prefecture (Toho, this year's spring winners, failed to qualify from this prefecture).
Ethan Nguyen
>sac bunt >while down by 4 >with only a man on 1st >with 2 strikes I can't I can't
Adam Hill
Oh, Japan...
Ryan Fisher
buy a big brain
Juan Evans
Just to show how much of an all star team Hachinohe Kosei Gakuin is (which explains their early dominance here) Takeoka (Tokushima) Shimabukuro (Tokyo) Kondo (Nara) Hara (Osaka) Ooe (Osaka) Shimoyama (Aomori) Itoh (Osaka) Tayama (Osaka) Goto (Osaka) So only one player from Aomori, and 5 players from Osaka (1 from Nara). They're basically an Osaka team in all but name.
Zachary Price
I bet they eat a lot of Takoyaki
James Davis
And Kushikatsu. Nothing like some deep fried skewers.
also red button above stream shows text info about the game like player resume and stuffs like that
Jason Adams
Yeah, whenever i go to each prefecture i try to try out the local food. Having been to Aomori, their famous foods are -Apples (Produces 50% of apples in Japan) -Hachinohe Senbei Jiru (Flour cracker soup)
Although I've been to Nagoya (Aichi), i didn't try much of the local food there, although I have since been to a Nagoya izakaya chain (Sekai no Yamachan) which is great if you want to try Aichi regional food. Tebasaki (Fried Chicken Wings) Miso-katsu (Meat cutlets with a thick miso sauce) Ankake Spaghetti (Spaghetti with a thick sweet sauce, similar to the yoshoku dish of Spaghetti Napolitan) Taiwan Ramen (A sort of spicy ramen invented by a Taiwanese chef in Nagoya)
Toho (Aichi) won Spring. Homare had a pretty easy run to the final, the only real powerhouse team they faced was Chukyodai Chukyo (who are nowhere near as good as they were a decade ago.) They also faced another team which never qualified in the final.
Blake Edwards
Apparently they also beat Meiden (Ichiro's old team). Still they managed to avoid Toho (who weirdly choked in the early rounds)
Josiah Bennett
New pitcher for Homare now. Yamaguchi. As it turns out, Kosei Gakuin have only had 4 hits (but 7 walks). But Homare's offence is completely dead (5 innings and only one hit)
Aiden Evans
why didn't this guy start? Isn't 1 the ace?
Dylan Gomez
Aichi is known for overusing bunt and even Japanese is laughing at them.
Ian Anderson
Mmm. It is weird. I mean Homare don't really stand much of a chance anyway. Go hard or go home, use your best pitcher.
Isaac Hughes
what they are saying?
Lucas Barnes
Was that a dinger just now?
Easton Evans
>avengers endgame ad
well i dont expected for it, do we can meme it?
Ayden Gray
"fuck gaijin, get paid ya little bitch"
Luke Mitchell
lmao lol
Ryder Morgan
well nice to see that even with an 10-0 loss they are still happy and dancing
Saga Kita (Saga) Batting lineup 7-Nakamura (LF) 4-Kubo (2B) 6-Furukawa (SS) 2-Ono(C) 9-Eto(RF) 8-Miura(CF) 3-Miyaguchi(1B) 1-Kawasaki (P) 5-Miyazaki(3B) Saga Kita are a public school from the rural prefecture of Saga in Kyushu. They famously won 2007 Summer Koshien in a fairytale run, despite it being their first time at Summer Koshien, and having not won a game the previous year. They faced Koryo in the final where Soejima (who now works as a PE teacher) hit a 8th inning grand slam go-ahead home run against Yusuke Nomura (Current Carp Ace). Soejima's story is symbolic of Saga Kita's run, as none of the players in that team never made it close to the pros or even top college/industrial teams. Very much an underdog team.
Kamimura Gakuen (Kagoshima) Batting Lineup 8-Moriguchi (CF) 3-Tamoto (1B) 4-Furukawa(2B) 10-Kuwahara(LF) 9-Tanaka(RF) 6-Matsuo(SS) 5-Tanaka(3B) 2-Matsuo(C) 1-Tanaka(P) There are 3 tanakas and 2 matsuos in the same team. Kamimura Gakuen are a private school from Kagoshima on the southern end of Kyushu. Their most famous run is their first ever run at Spring Koshien where they reached the final. Since then, they have made Koshien semi-regularly although they are also famous for having a physical abuse scandal with one of their former baseball coaches.
Suicide squeeze in that situation? Really? I would take the initiative at that point.
John Taylor
first round, gotta weed out the pretenders
Jaxson Taylor
anyone know the name of the song the band is playing? sounds really familiar like i should know it.
Gabriel James
i dont want necroducer's disciples to be pretenders :(
Landon Stewart
and get doubled
Jeremiah Ramirez
>Sigh Another E4.
Lucas Wright
It's early in the game and you've clearly got the pitcher rattled. Suicide squeeze late in the game sure. But first inning, take the chance to take the game out of reach but that's just me.
Brandon Stewart
no point bunting now, time for a grandlsam.
Ethan King
homers are icky. give me that sexy small ball.
Julian Ramirez
Considering it was no outs bases loaded and they made their way through the line-up, conceding three runs is not too bad a result. Could have been a lot lot worse.
Joshua Gray
Bunting is a public service. If a player does not lay down one bunt during the tournament, they will be prohibited from crying and taking home dirt with them
Jack Murphy
agreed. big bunt energy.
Easton Carter
And they must slide headfirst into first base. Always found it funny that they gave out paper fans by laundry detergent companies at Koshien.
Wyatt Watson
Good job working the count, give your pitcher some rest.
Jace Thomas
WE WILL WE WILL BUNT YOU
Brandon Parker
Oh fuck i forgot i made this in the spring. Here you go Saga, how fitting
Takaoka Shogyo (Toyama) Batting Lineup 8-Morita (CF) 5-Ibayashi (3B) 2-Ishiguro (C) 9-Hori(RF) 7-Fujii(LF) 6-Ishiguro(SS) 1-Arai(P) 3-Sugasawa(1B) 4-Suzuki(2B) Takaoka Shogyo are a public school from Toyama Prefecture who have traditionally qualified for Koshien regularly, although they have never made it past the quarters (once in 1947).
Iwamichi Suikan (Shimane) Batting Lineup 4-Sekiyama (2B) 8-Kawamoto (CF) 7-Tanaka(LF) 18-Nada (RF) 5-Kumashiro (3B) 6-Sekiyama(SS) 3-Minami (1B) 12-Nakano(C) 1-Sakohiro (P) Iwamichi Suikan are a private school from the rural prefecture of Shimane (On the very western part of Honshu). They have had some success since 2000, making the semi-finals in 2003 Summer as well as qualifying in 2013 and 2015.
Jace Flores
What a perfectly koshien start
Nathan Wood
nice bunt running
Aiden Bennett
Where is the honor in bunting without sacrifice? Baseball God's demand sacrifice
Connor Perry
Holy christ my dude, you're gonna throw like 150 pitches already, don't add another 50 to first
Jace Gomez
i'm sincerely happy that brazilian nip baseball autist user gets to share this with us year after year. thank you, you're doing god's work spreading pure love of sport.
Eli Scott
Even the home plate ump is already getting annoyed lol
Colton Sanchez
I hope Takasho wins by 30 at this point.
Ryan Clark
That was what, 6 setup pick off attempts at first, then he fakes two more at second. Absolutely absurd.
Sebastian Gutierrez
guys i don't think this pitcher is very good
Evan Cook
I remember an aussie called him a very smart AI or some shit like that
Ethan Miller
you mean a low 80s fastball that you can't locate isn't good??
desu i feel that is same shit Depends of your internet, depends of how much people are using
the only thing i know is that dynamic video players are literal cancer
Ethan Diaz
Apple is mostly the only cellphone that japs use lmao
there is no rivality for that and even the companies know that
Jayden Rodriguez
c l e a n bunt!
Gabriel Bell
what happened to him? I remember he had a couple of good/great games and then he got injured and after that the angels brought this other guy with the power of shekels knew it
Ryder Walker
Batting .287 and on track to hit 30-35 homers ain't good enough for ya?
David Jones
not mention that he hit an cicle at his first week after comaback, the first for an Japanese player
Ethan Peterson
>swings at two breaking balls out of the zone >throw him a high fastball and he crushes it
Samuel Anderson
Yeah i get that much but i just want the corporate ads at koshien to be Japanese, not American.
Adam Thomas
He's raking bruh, I just don't think he's back to pitching yet
Christopher Williams
he will back to pitch only next year aand its kinda thaat angels alwaays said
Wyatt Gray
fuck, this webm progam likes to make jokes with my face
i cant convert an fucking 15 secs webm in good quality thaat doesnt goes past 3mb
also asahi will make an post game show after the games, it starts around 18hrs or as soon the game ends
it will feat Ayumi Kataoka from Ibaraki Golden Golds (Industral Baseball), Maki Okazoe (Ex- Osaka Toin Studant) and Ami Inamura (an Gravure Idol/TV Caster known by her God Swing Style and being for her fast pitching, also Featured on Pro Baseball VS mobile game)
lol they have an random post game-show with people
Michael Garcia
Was the ex-managers post-game.show any good?
Matthew Perry
I'm working tomorrow so I'll post the team rosters for tomorrow's games. Underneath the stream will be the batting lineups with their numbers next to them. Also the kanji for each batting player (as well as the pitcher) is on the top left corner of the stream near the score.
Kayden Martinez
Riseisha(Osaka) are the perennial bridesmaids to Osaka Toin in Osaka, as they frequently reach Spring Koshien (Where 2 Osaka teams can compete) but rarely reach Summer. Their most famous alumni is Tetsuto Yamada. Kasumigaura (Ibaraki) are a private school from the prefecture of Ibaraki in the Kanto region near Tokyo. Their only recent appearance is in 2015 Summer.
Shizuoka are a traditional private school power from Shizuoka prefecture having reached Summer koshien 24 times previously (Although they haven't done anything of note as of late. Tsuda Gakuen are a private school from the nearby prefecture of Mie (Chubu region) who have only recently come into prominence (Only previous attendance at 2017 Summer)
Seiryo are a traditional power from the rural prefecture of Ishikawa, who are famously, Hideki Matsui's former school. Look out for their ace pitcher Okugawa (1), who can top 98mph and is projected to be the second best high school pitcher in the draft behind Rouki Sasaki of Ofunato (who didn't qualify). Asahikawadai Koko are a private school from North Hokkaido who have a decent pedigree and qualified last year.
Akita Chuo are a bit of a fairytale, similar to last year's Akita representative Kanaashi Nogyo (Kousei Yoshida's team). They're a public school who last made Koshien in 1974. Ritsumeikan Uji are a private school from Kyoto who last attended Summer Koshien in 1982 (although they did attend Spring Koshien in 2015.) Their most famous alumni is Yuji Kaneko of the Seibu Lions.
For any newbies frustrated with the lack of competition save Takasho-Iwamichi Suikan this is just like the NCAA Tournament, some teams vastly outclass others and more competition comes in the later rounds.
Caleb Anderson
exatcly no wonder why burgers call this japanese march madness
Yamada graduated from Riseisha I thought. It only makes sense.
Jason Williams
yea, he indeed did that
Jace Bennett
Anyone know what that graphic they brought up on screen a few times was about? Last team to hit 5 HR's in a game?
Adam Ortiz
here comes the tears
Alexander Martinez
delicious tears
Dominic Russell
Lotta tears considering this game was pretty much over by the third inning.
Nicholas Barnes
its the hope in the late innings that kill you
Alexander Hall
Considering they kept it close later on in the game they fought their hardest and failed. That's the spirit of Koshien for you. Not over until the 27th out.
Aiden Rivera
at least i am certain in an thing the other games will be surely better than this one
James Kelly
dont forget what happened to the last abg when he lied to us....
