Hachinohe Kosei Gakuin are a private school from the northern prefecture of Aomori. They're a koshien powerhouse known for recruiting mostly from the other side of the country around Osaka. As such, most of their players are not from Aomori. Their most famous alumni is Hayato Sakamoto (iconic shortstop of the Yomiuri Giants)

Homare had a pretty easy run to the final, the only real powerhouse team they faced was Chukyodai Chukyo (who are nowhere near as good as they were a decade ago.) They also faced another team which never qualified in the final.

Apparently they also beat Meiden (Ichiro's old team). Still they managed to avoid Toho (who weirdly choked in the early rounds)

Riseisha(Osaka) are the perennial bridesmaids to Osaka Toin in Osaka, as they frequently reach Spring Koshien (Where 2 Osaka teams can compete) but rarely reach Summer. Their most famous alumni is Tetsuto Yamada.
Kasumigaura (Ibaraki) are a private school from the prefecture of Ibaraki in the Kanto region near Tokyo. Their only recent appearance is in 2015 Summer.
