boomer? I'm a zoomer and my first WC in memory was 2006. 2006 was nice, 2010 was fucking shit, 2014 was amazing, and 2018 was decent. nothing really seemed forgettable but i have a smaller sample of WC's to compare between.

First WC I closely followed was 1994. It was a very nice one. 1998 was epic, plenty of teams with amazing players. 2002 was bad, although Brazil was very consistent and deserved their win. 2006 was okay. 2010 was awful, Spain and their mediocre 8 goals being partly responsible for that. 2014 was very nice. 2018 could have been better if Spain did not shat the bed like they did, focusing on breaking the world record of successful passes in game (more than 1000) instead of trying to actually win.
