Race officials rarely do anything outside of violations on pit road or black flagging vehicles. Contact is basically always allowed but what goes around comes around so most of the time there's an effort to keep it clean

they are picky in the pre race inspections on equipment, but pretty hands off during the race, sometimes their caution calls during the race are questionable and people think they have an agenda
