Why do most forms of automobile racing, Formula 1, IndyCar, sports car, appeal to classy gentlemen from all over the world, but NASCAR is only popular among rednecks in the southeast?

indycar has always been for hicks, too
f1, gt cars, le mans/wec, etc., for the most part, price out poor dumb yokels

>southeast

I like how his hairline ran away to hang out with his mouth

remember all the controversy surrounding his post-mortem/autopsy photos? did those ever get leaked for real?

The Indy 500 is probably the most prestigious auto race in the world, and there's a lot of Europeans who race in that series.

>gt cars
lots of brits and aussie rednecks in their local series

NASCAR tracks outside of the SE USA:

Fontana, CA
Sonoma, CA
Watkins Glen, NY
Bowmanville, Ontario Canada
Joliet, IL
Madison, IL
Dover, DE
Indianapolis, IN
Newton, IA
Avondale, AZ
Kansas City, KS
Las Vegas, NV
Brooklyn, MI
Loudon, NH
Long Pond, PA
Elkhart Lake, WI
Fort Worth, TX

It literally started as a bootlegging car race/competition.

literally all flyover shitholes lel

I miss this nigga like you wouldn't believe

perfect

nobody watches NASCAR anymore. it kinda makes me sad despite never giving a shit about NASCAR in the first place. Things like the Indy 500 and Daytona 500 used to be huge events here and now nobody even gives a shit.

I remember NASCAR's boom days and then when it went into decline but I still haven't figured out why. I think the death of Earnhardt hurt a lot and people figured out when one family controls something that big it's bound to be corrupt as shit

Monaco Grand Prix or Le Mans

You just don't here about our other series. Something like Touring Cars or Superbikes is more for normal people

>Earnhardt dies
>restrictions and regulations up the ass in the wake of Earnhardt, Adam Petty and Kenny Irwin's deaths
>failure to build new stars that people would enjoy rooting for
>nonsensical calendar changes
>inclusion of shitty cookie-cutter tracks over perennial fan favourites
>hackneyed attempts to market to other demographics that would never give NASCAR their time of the day anyways
>Chase
>new points system just because
>Brian France being Brian France

Everything went wrong for NASCAR in the latest years. What a shitshow.

>here about
Meant hear about obviously

Because northeners look down on anything southerns like

rightfully so

Because it's >turn left

>The Indy 500 is probably the most prestigious auto race in the world
lol

NASCAR literally dumped old, traditional tracks in the SE and opened these shit tracks in the rest of the country to try and attract more people. Turns out it only alienated the original fanbase.

a yankee. gross.

I don't want to watch Yuros compete in any sport

I hate how the cars are all the same and have nothing in common with the street models of the cars, and especially hate the stupid fake headlight stickers.

fucking weird of you to save this image t b h
