How would Mike do if he was drafted in his prime for the 2020 season?

How would Mike do if he was drafted in his prime for the 2020 season?

How much has the sport changed?

Would Lebron give him a run for his money or vice versus?

if lebron was better than him he'd psychotically find a way to even the odds

He'd be a highly regarded player but his lack of 3 would make him like a lesser Westbrook.

Give me some suggestions on how he’d do this

his last 3 years in Chicago he shot 38% from behind the arc. 37% if you go back 5. This was back when they could actually play defense too.

I think LeBron wins one-on-one, Jordon wins team-vs-team.

Is the implication that Jordan needs backup while Lebron doesn’t?

MJ would be about Danny Green level

>Implying Green is near MJ level

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

delusion

Who gives a fuck? Why do sports “fans” always have to talk about top 10s, who would win in this or that situation...it’s all so tiresome. MJ was great. Leave it at that.

MJ was good in the 90s
If you look at sports with precise results like Swimming the best time in '92 Olympics wouldn't even qualify for the Final 8 in 2019

>basketball
>anything like swimming
Anyways, Jordan's skill and athleticism were exceptional and would easily hold up today.

>why do sports "fans" go to a sports "website" and discuss "sports"?

He was clearly criticizing a certain type of tedious sports discussion, not sports discussion in general you disingenuous fuck.

You mean anime board, brainlet? You probably watch ESPN, dontcha, kiddo?

Not as good as wilt chamberlain

With 3.6 attempts a game, even Westbrook would have a decent percentage taking this low number of shots.

He'd be just fine. Most guards don't play any defense, or are bad at it. he was a decent 3-pt shooter in a era nobody cared about it except Reggie Miller. He'd probably just shoot more and be good at it. Nobody knows how to score a layup or a mid range 2 nowdays, he'd stomp a lot of teams just by doing that.

Prime Jordan would be the best player in the league. Obviously. Picture James Harden with slightly less efficiency but way better defense and an insane desire to win at all costs.

If you had Jordan and Lebron both at their primes, I think Lebron would be better, but that's a different story, Lebron isn't in his prime right now.

Lebron 2003-2004, 19 years old
20ppg 5.5 trb 5.9ast winshares 5.1

Jordan 2002-2003 39 years old
20ppg 6.1trb 3.1 ast winshares 6.2

If anyone is bored. This is a pretty good tribute to the G O A T.

>his last 3 years in Chicago he shot 38% from behind the arc
2 of those years were with a shortened 3 point line, and when they moved it back he shot the same % as his jersey number.
>This was back when they could actually play defense too
Back when help defense was a technical foul so your only options were defend him 1 on 1 or double team him and leave someone else wide open?

the pace of the nba is faster now due to lack of defense.

People in MJ's era could hand check and not get called for a foul.

MJ would exploit the weak new defense rules.

adding lebron in this conversation is already an insult to mj.
lehype will never have a chance.

Then why did he dominate for so long?

MJ would embarrass everyone.

>Retards in this thread implying MJ wouldn't develop a reliable 3 point shot if he played today

Complete retardation, he was already a good jump shooter and free throw shooter, if he played now his 3 point shot would at least be as good as Kawhi's

Swimming records are a joke. Many track and field records set in the 80s, 90s and early 00s still stand.

he only dominated you, bobby.

Basketball develops even faster than Swimming

Not really though

He'd be great because everyone that touched him would get fouled out of the game
Same with Larry Bird he's destroy the pussified game of today

He'd be about as effective as Harden or Kawhi.

Alone he couldn't do much. Put a good wing and a good rebounder on the court with him and he could go all the way.

>this

Jordan cemented himself as the greatest in an era where teams played a full court press for most, if not all of the game, defenders barely gave you room to breathe, and you had to get physically manhandled to draw a foul. Refs didn't call fouls for handchecking or if you touch a player after they shoot like they do now. If he was playing with today's rules he would have averaged 40+ points per game for most of his career. Same argument can be made for Shaq. He would have been even more dominant in the paint and had a lot more assists by dishing it out once he drew a second or triple team.

He wouldn't be drafted he would be considered "too old" as most draftees are 18-19 year old one and done college players. Teams would quite literally and unironically pass on MJ

Not to mention the ability to fucking fly.

On a serious note, what gay ass sport basketball is. You can't even touch your opponent or barely the ball when defending. Or else they get the ball back and you might even get sent off.

This leads to some weird ass stand off where it looks 2 niggers are about to start a hip-hop dance but not quite.

Just watch hockey or something

No.

Charles Oakley or Bill Lambier could basically hip check fuckers into the boards for fun back in the day.

This
The guy would still be the goat if he would come up totday.
The guy shat on a ton of HoF,has a career that will never be touched both on an individual and team level.
People are delusional,if you think he wouldn't still rule the league with todays training methods.
Also unlike LeChoke he wasn't a mental midget and made all those numbers when the game was more defensive.
What seperates him even more from everyone else is his work ethic and mental toughness.

Today's players are way more arrogant but a lot softer. It's not only his numbers and accomplishment(that probably nobody will touch ever) it's also his character and attitude.

>Reading comprehension
>tripfag
>using a woman's name

Welcome to the filter, tranny. I hope this (You) brought some joy to your miserable, short life.

Leave to the Norwegians to be gay af

he'd flop. hype kills

dig up his father's corpse and ship it to lebron's house

eh he'd still be pretty good

Am a watch it later on
Thanks bud

>15 seasons
>3-6
>dominated

Jordan was an inefficient shot spammer who couldn’t shoot, literally a shorter less athletic Westbrick. His defense was entirely based on stiff arming the guy he’s guarding which by some crazy Jewish coincidence became illegal just after he retired.

>current year + 1
>being a shooting guard who relies on iso and can't shoot threes
at best he'd be third-team All-NBA

two of those three years the NBA had a shorter 3-point line. He was also shooting on very low volume.
kek, they could hand-check regular players but if they even looked at MJ wrong it would be a foul. He was a complete ref-babby and the league rigged games in his favor.

>le Jordan isn’t le goat maymay
Zoomers out.

Vice versus.

Yeah that just happened.

>implying he'd need to shoot 3s
he would go right by everyone who tried guarding him and pull up for the mid-range
nobody plays D in the NBA lol, this era is garbage

>he would iso past modern zone defenses
t. casual pleb
>the reason players don't shoot mid-range is because they suck and not because 2

we all know mj is quick, athletic and relentless as fuck. lehype will never have a chance. corporate sponsors will be on jordan's side so lebon will be out of the league in 2 years.
maverick will still be selling bootleg jerseys while richie paul will be managing an obama phone desk outside walmart.

>you can't drive past someone in a zone to make space for a pull up jumper
you've never played basketball in your life

Based
Redpilled
Dabbed

dumbass lebronies parrotting nig wrong and colin cuckhold, jordans ancient ass averaged 25 against the zone

dumbass bronsexuals

Think Dwayne Wade... from last year.

You mean a couple years ago

Rightly so, but they also changed the game to make it harder for iso ball, and they also called more offensive violations. I mean wilt would literally sit in the post and not move, throw up a brick, outjump the milkmen and offensive goaltend his own miss

Jordan wasn't that inefficient. Obviously, efficiency wasn't his main calling card. But he was more efficient in his prime than Kobe or Wade. And if his defense would suffer from rule changes, his offense would benefit - Jordan would probably draw a lot more fouls in the modern NBA. His free throw rate from 1990 onwards was lower than most comparable wings in the league right now.

the Warriors take a ton of midrange shots

That's not the Norwegian flag.

If he tried to get open outside more rather than driving he could.

Really though, with teammates shooting from outside and opening up the court, he would be on a new level of unstoppable going to the basket.

QUINTS of truth! checked.

>jordan, inefficient
lebron efficient in turnovers, never his fault when he passes grenades.
like a commie, always with made up bullshit propaganda

He'd definitely break Lebum psychologically. Could you imagine what he'd be saying to Lebum after the cramping episode where he had to be carried like he got shot?

good numbers but shit post

Lebron will be cheering for MJ.
