>Iowa Speedway is a 7/8th of a mile short track with speedway characteristics. It has multiple grooves which allows for consistent side by side action. Passing is still difficult however as the drivers on the top are able to prevent fast cars from completing the pass by using the momentum of the top lane. This makes for some really exciting battles all over the track especially on restarts. We typically see long green flag runs with the leader rattling off many laps led due to the passing difficulty. Long Run speed will be important and the cars who are good over a 50 lap run will most likely move their way into the top 10.
