It doesn't matter. There's no creative freedom in WWE, not even in NXT. Maybe Gaytch let's them run a bit more wild than in the main roster in matches, but all backstage segments, promos, and video packages are as overporduced and micromanaged as main roster. Matt will never be free there.

it's only if you get out of your contract early. that's why luke harper can't go there. he was able to go to AEW either way on march 8th because that's when his contract ended. they just fired him 3 months early because he has a 90 day non compete so it evens out. that's why mox was able to show up there in May after leaving wwe in april.
