Marion
time is getting to her she's starting to expire
Bookman looked like it was a training ride in off season. He will take 1-2min off the top 5 tomorrow
Odds after this stage
The mic is my dick
Watching Marion right now.
>he doesn't rate Marion
ayy
Could you fucking not?
her eyes reminds me of this lil potato
just4fun
S E E T H I N G
based Quintana shitting on Landa and Boomberde in GC
>G just let Bernal ride up the road without following him
Why didn't G follow him? If the other rivals had stuck to G's wheel then who cares? It would make no difference to him personally because they could attack him whether he pushes forward or not. It would only make a difference to Bernal. Does G just want to gift his 2nd place to Bernal or something? If so, why?
wtf I love Greta now
P I N O T
why do they pretend that Martin and Rowe even relevant as mountain domestiques?
They're probably not into cycling.
wew, it's pouring
Is Alaphilippe doping?
Can my boy Egan do it?
>implying your boy is clean
he is in Ineos, baka
Mfw Quintana attack’s the next two stages and wins the yellow.
>accusing everyone else of doping with no evidence because you're still butthurt about being kicked out of the olympics for real doping
Lmao.
funny you're not calling out the dude who cried about doping first
They are both road captains so they are relevant but not that relevant.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I don't see any earlier posts in this thread that make any mention of doping.
Because they got into cycling after hearing anglos are good at it and don't understand the tactics at all.
Didn't want to lead alphaphillippe back to bernal
lance would wipe the floor with these betas even without epo
couldn't keep up, dont forget he crashed like 3 times this tour
lmao so that's the power of anglovision
Tomorrow's stage looks weird.
It's relatively short, and the main climbing is done way before the finish.
Almost 20 km descent before just 8 km of climbing with less than 500m altitude gain.
I do not see much time difference between the GC riders tomorrow.
But that doesn't affect G whatsoever. Bernal is his rival, so if the other guys take time off Bernal, that's good for G if anything. Geraint's priority is his own time, especially since he's team leader. Why gift his 2nd place position to his teammate?
allah couldn't have caught up, at least until the descent
If you don't like people accusing Alaphilippe of doping then feel fry to step in Pierre, I personally don't give a shit.
wtf if this Anglo getting mad solely because my country exists
heh
and vice-versa, throughout both of your histories
>fuglsang
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
the prophecy comes true
MARION IS OVERRATED
COME AT ME
Cant it's true
Actually no. We always only picked fights with our continental neighbours (except this one time when some of our bastards got bored, went sightseeing over the channel and inadvertently became the nobility of britain). The Anglos obsession with beating us is not returned.
Dutch tdf talkshow host. Dione>Marion
you're so cute when get all yandere like that
you both are OBSESSED with each other
I've got to say, you are correct on this one.
You believed the Anglos stories. They're wrong. We dont think about them half as much as we think about Germany.
(Also I think the word you're thinking of is tsundere.)
Kruijswijk & Buchmann still this board's favorite for the win? KEKEKEKEKEK
>mommy issues
kek we literally burned your level 89 witch and you're still mad
Woah, she may not be good at cycling but she's forgiven.
She would have been fifteen when she had me and looks nothing like my mother.
Since I hit thirty, I've been much more intrigued by women with a bit of chub and wisdom than perk and naivety. It will happen to you as well friend.
we're very qualified to talk about real doping when we see one then, Bong
Marion looks good in picture but I insist, it's her voice that does everything. It's not screeching and annoying like most girls, it's hot af.
>bringing up 700 years old stories about a war you lost, expecting to rile us up
Do you want to tell us the story about how you got your "fuck you" gesture too ? I know you love telling that one.
And she knows what she's talking about, she's not there just to be hot.
That changes a lot too.
>NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO TALK BAD ABOUT MUH TEAM, I GOTTA DEFEND THE HONOUR OF BRITAIN BY SHITPOSTING ON A MALAYSIAN MOUNTAINCLIMBING FORUM
big yikes lmao
does it make you feel like have a purpose?
Adam yates is such a disappointment.
He went from very favorite ( 2.50 odds ) to trash and finishing like 40th.
Jesus.
kek
>being this seething at the mere mention of another country
How pathetic.
>w-w-w-we don't care about anglos!
>whole of france seethes due to britain winning a few french bike races
>NOOOOOOOOOO! STOP SHITTALKING MY DOPERS, I'M NOT MAD YOU'RE MAD! B-BRITTANIA RULES THE WAVES
seethe harder hahahaha
I see that have been initiated hard debates between movistar and nairo, the truth I am not aware of this but, what is the debate in question?
can you redpill me'?
Oui... on oublie Saint-Denis ?
Movistar are butthurt spic racists. Can't stand Indio is their leader

have to say i find it a bit puzzling that the same people that screech about supposed Skyneos dopage cheer unquestionably for Madiot protege Pinot
>w-w-w-we don't care about anglos
no french has ever said that
Lazy shits today won't even do 2 stages in one day. They used to do 3 stages in one day.
>divide the stage into 3 parts
>call it 3 stages
???
>getting irrepressibly butthurt at the mere MENTION of another country
>having to invent allegations because that's you can't contain your butthurt
Yikes.
>short ass stages
They do the whole thing in 1 go now.
>divide the day into 3 stages
yes
lazy shits these days won't do 7 mountain stages in a row
now that's what a proper opening week looks like
The parents were retarded though, that kid was frozen.
>258 kilometers with finish at Alpe d'Huez
>MOMMY MOMMY THEY ARE BEING MEAN ON THE INTERNET ABOUT MY FAVOURITE TEAM WAAAAAAAAHHHH WHAT DO I DO? THEY MUST BE MAD, T-T-THATS IT
>I HAVE TO REPLY OR PEOPLE MIGHT THINK BADLY OF US
>IM NOT SEETHING, THEY'RE SEETHING
LOL
I am laughing so hard right now thinking about the state of your fragile ego
1978 tdf had 5 (FIVE) time trials
Holy based
Maybe that was some 50D chess by the kid

Viviani was an absolute monster today, considering he's a sprinter the work he did in the moutain for alaph is stunning.
this kills the skytrain
Christ you're really mad aren't you. Sorry I struck a nerve.

Sagan is just too funny
back in the good old days they literally did a loop of france
>he's still pretending he isn't mad
lmaoing at ur life kid
Hope for your sake, one day you grow up and start having a fulfilling enough life that you don't get triggered by people disliking your favourite team. Because this is just sad.
I think there was 120 km ITT or something in the 80s.
Poor Massif Central :(
>twitter.com
cant see it la
>In the 1931 Tour de France, there had been a time bonification system, which gave 3 minutes of bonification to the winner of the stage, if he finished more than three minutes ahead of the second cyclist in that stage.[2] In 1932, this bonification system changed: now the winner of the stage received 4 minutes, the second-placed cyclist 2 minutes and the third-placed cyclist 1 minute, plus an extra three minutes if the margin was more than three minutes.[3][4] The bonification system was invented to give sprinters, who lost a lot of time in the mountains, a chance to battle for the general classification
Bring back the bonuses I say
Sprinters are impostors, they can perfectly climb mountains but they just pretend they can't to be pampered.
I inherited this from my now disappeared grandfather. Will try to find good pictures to share.
>freezing your kid to death so you can get the yellow jersey and sell it on ebay
4D chess
wtf kind of race is this? they need to bring back these madman ideas
cool
Snowy Galibier
Based, it should always be like this.
We need a flat stage with simultaneously a full race with the bottom half riders and an ITT with the top half riders. Same distance for both.
Example: bottom half ride from Brest to Quimper together, top half rides time trial from Quimper to Lorient.
>getting THIS triggered simply because britain exists and british riders compete in this event
Enjoy losing the TdF constantly though.
Y'know I was thinking "based, they should do a circuit again, after all it is the tour of France".
But actually if you did that then all the places within the middle of France, rather than around the border, would get left out. So actually maybe it is good that they mix it up and do it in lots of random different places across France.
Ouch.
Or they just do it once every 5 years or so to please the autists.
CHUTE !
/Antequil/
But then what would I watch every summer?
TdF, but sometimes with less châteaux.
>tfw no TdF with night stages
>tfw no Tdf (in 3 days)
Maybe in few years when the temperatures hit 50°C in daylight.
>disappeared
w-what did you do to him??
Oh right you mean just do the circuit every 5 years, and do non-circuit TdFs in the other years. Yeah that could work maybe.
Lads, what is it about these three countries that made them the homes of cycling?
Yes other European countries love cycling too. But basically all of the old classics are located in these three countries - all five monuments are located in these three countries. And these three countries dominated the victories of all of cycling's most important events for many decades, until the sport started becoming more international in the later 20th century.
>no Spain
>no Netherlands
>no Colombia
Marginal gains.
the alps?
gotta to understand the angloid, hastings, then hyw, I mean gotta brainwash your subjects to make them fight for one year only for some obscure throne claim in another country. then they became protestant because their fat king wanted to divorce, didn't help that we are a chatolic country, the hate kinda tamed down towards us but suddenly william of orange who hated france invaded and took over england, the anti french activities restarted, then the napoleonic wars. their whole identity is based on hating us.
>Belgium
*goes off the back*

Maybe learn to read next time.
The Alps aren't in Belgium though. But I guess Belgium does have some hills. Much of it is flat but it does have hilly bits too, especially the Ardennes. So maybe hills is what made France, Belgium and Italy so cycling mad? I don't know.
Is that in cycling events only? Belgium is still historically one of the homes of cycling without a doubt. Belgium has twice as many Paris-Roubaix victories as the French, in their own race. Two of the five monuments take place in Belgium. Belgium has one more Giro win than France. Sure they might not be producing tons of top riders at the moment but they are still one of the homes of cycling with one of the richest cycling cultures of any nation.
What happens when two or more riders finish exactly with same time on GC?
wait wait so you're telling me that since 2004, britain won 24 gold medals and 48 medals total in cycling. they're cheating
Well, he almost stopped him when passing the bottle, he must have realized it wasn't cool.
Lance and George just said if they don’t drop Ala Flip by the top of the HC tomorrow that he will win the TDF.
These stages suit goat man well, will we see more from him.
Mountain points and sprint points are taken in account..

Look at the video here
Good evening Based Brits and Seething Euros.
I would like to make a brief but important announcement. Tour favourite Egan Bernal will be known forthwith by his real and actual British name, Bernard Evans (UK).
To repeat.
Bernard Evans (UK)
Thank you for your attention, I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow.
This guy comes along and steals your cycling medals. What do you do?
Surely it should be something like Edward Bernard. Why are you switching his names around like that?
bullocks thats german cycling talent Egon Bernd
>Bernard Evan
he's a franco-british bi-national
Bernard isn't a very British surname. If you remember it as something more fitting though then I think that would be acceptable.
If he's German then why is he riding for a UK team? Checkmate.
German Queen german team la
Yes it is. Or you could make it Egbert Bernard even. The point is why are you (presuming it is you who made that post) switching the first and last names around? That makes no sense.
Now THIS is podracing.
Biulder Colorado dual MTB/road legend Bernie Edgerton. Known for his aqualine nose and ability to shred gnar after dabs. USA's best cycling hope after Tejay.
Boulder. Im typing while descending.
Bernal is actually italian, he has lived 2 years in Italy making him literally half italian, or at least that's what the rai has been asserting since the start of the tour.
??
Are you talking about upcoming Dutch talent Edje Bernstra?
So he was the boy who bothers you to buy CDs while the meme Ican pan flute band while you are trying to live la dolce vita at a cafe? Makes sense.
friens, listening to Buchmann interviews I get the impression that he actually might be autistic.
literally /our guy/
Could a normal guy with very little endurance training even bike up any of these HC’s without stopping?
Genuinely what % of Germans are autistic? It has to be higher than average.
No
I don't understand that question.
Is there anyway Quintana could win the tour if his next team is 100% dedicated to him, or is he past his time?
No because of Bernal and Dumoulin
Yeah these iconic TdF mountains are always full of bikes, some don't stop but they are much slower off course.
Anybody knows what time is the start of the race tomorrow ? For some reason it's an information I can never get anywhere on the usual sports site
given that he's in his late 20s, he probably has at least some good 4-5 years in him.But as it is now, Bernal has a higher chance of winning it.
13:45
Sorry, meant for
And then also winning the next day rofl
If you had to nominate the best Climber of the last 5 years, who would it be
>two german drivers in the maillot blanc top 10 and Buchmann in the GC top 10
Noice. Since Klöden retired >we never really had some potential top 10 drivers/talents
As much as it pains me to say, but Froome.

rainy tomorrow
Thank you
After the disastrous result of Atlanta, John Major decided he wouldn't have anymore of this shit and the poorfags should get fucked, and funneled the funds from the national lottery to a bunch of pro sports guys rather than to the social stuff. Their /cyc/ benefited massively from it, amongst others.
bitch on the burmese basket weaving enthusiast imageboard about it
depends on what you mean by very little endurance training but the Alpes are not that steep. So a healthy young guy should be able to do it using suitable gearing.
you can get easily get a roadbike with a 34-32 bailout gear and crawl up the mountain at 10 kph.
>Belgium has twice as many Paris-Roubaix victories as the French, in their own race. Two of the five monuments take place in Belgium. Belgium has one more Giro win than France.
I wonder how many of them are the sole work of Merckx, though.
>Lance and George just said if they don’t drop Ala Flip by the top of the HC tomorrow that he will win the TDF.
He's already won.
In retrospect, everyone will say that today was the day Alaphilippe won the tour. Mark my words.
The final two stages are significantly shorter, and contain smaller, shorter and easier climbs. Basically climbs that Alaphilippe can manage to keep up with the best.
If Bernal, Thomas and the rest had attacked Alaphilippe earlier today, they would have gained MINUTES. In stead they waited until there was only like 3km left to climb and gained nothing. Today was the last really hard mountain stage. The yellow jersey gives you wings, and ala is perfectly capable of keeping up tomorrow and the day after.
how does money benefits cycling against other first world countries?, why the huge difference between their world championship results and their olympic results?
Why are you talking of my guy Bernard Évian like that?
% chances of seeing the mighty Allah-Phillip fall during the rainy-tomorrow stage ?
A new Quintana's early breakaway and peloton get pushed to ride strongly since beginning. Allah can be broken on this. It can be amplified with a new Bernal's late attack.
allahphilippe didn't seem very happy at the end of the stage tho'
Tens of thousands do alp dhuez every summer
Here's the paragon of virtue Patrick Lefevre lads
Practically nothing. You wouldn't even notice it.
0.000000001% as he is a bike handling demi-god only surpassed by mighty Sagan himself
If you live in Colorado or in Appalaches, it can be easier
Still fully expecting him to crack. I mean he was gone today if they attacked sooner. Surely they will learn from this or end up doing by default when they get desperate
i will wait for Johan 'Mahatma' Bruyneel to cast judgement on Lances podcast
>Pinot
I thought it was supposed to be his grand stage and shit?
Thijs Zonneveld (former cyclist, dutch journalist and active twitter personality):
>Alaphilippe gets a push from a QS soigneur just under the top of the Galibier. If Roglic loses time in the Giro for being pushed by fans, so should Alaphilippe in today
Patrick Lefevere (DQS team manager):
>Totally not true loser. Half journalist. Failed cyclist. Why don't you write a column about the motorcycles instead? Or do you need my glasses
How effective shall be his next breakaway?
that was his daily ride to school every morning
It's mainly because french don't win that they get mad. Not really because of who is on the podium.
Oh and here is Bruyneel chipping in:
Patirck, loser is a perfect description. This frustrated, failed cyclist is only interested in negativity and sensation. Today he was talking about being sad he'd lose his KOM on Lautaret. If he did have it, I'd like to know how...
God I hate Lefevere and quickstep. Also Alaphilippe was fined 500 swiss francs for the push
Based Johan.
This lad has the saddest wiki page ever.

where's the normal stage thread?

Archived, after 2200 posts
oh in the archives
today he gained 5 minutes but lost a few drops of blood
tomorrow he shall fullfill his ambition but pay the iron price
...
He had a forgettable pro career but he's a popular journalist in the netherlands. He's still right though, and it's really funny to see Lefevere just start insulting him when he's correct
damn, he probably even created the article himself
Blood drop because he saw a pretty girl when attacking
Bonus seconds on the HC climb tomorrow. Spicy
just like in my animu! ^_^
sadly i think Buchmann is Klödi 2.0 in the making
always there but never a winner
Why does your driving help speak Norwegian, Jonas?
Tomorrow I think Ala can stay with his main rivals. Stage is too short, last climb is too short as well, which is good for Ala.
Nah, It's most likely another breakaway group that will take all the bonus seconds.
not saying that he's a potential GC winner, but would Buchmann have a chance of a top 3 spot with some actual decent climber aside from mühlberger next to him
How many cricket medals has the UK won in the Olympics? You must suck.
...
I would be pretty happy if we could get at least a new Klödi.
The betting odds now have Bernal as the strong favourite to win the thing
Bernal 1.375
Pinot 3.25
Alaphilippe 3.5
Thomas 3.75
Kruiswijk 12
Buchmann 25
Quintana 25
Landa 33
ebin :D

Is Bookmann a wessi or an ossi?
yes
how do the bookies calculate these odds?
is it all some refined algorithm or do they have some /cyc/ autist using his "expertise"?
>some /cyc/ autist using his "expertise"
this
then adjust depending on what money comes in

Belgians are weirdos
It's Danish.
I can confirm this
don't ask why
Bolivians should be even better, if they could afford a bike.
why?
There's been some hubbub about motos being too close to the riders providing slipstream, I guess that's it. IDK why he brings that up as Alaphilippe definitely benefited from it
I think you should agree though that I am not weird

First, there is always a moto in front of the guys.
Second, they may benefit from some lift but they also eat exhaust gaz. Personally I'd prefer no lift but more oxygen, especially at those altitudes.

most people use yr over here too

Is it true that the noteworthy Colombian cyclists don't get along with eachother? I've heard Quintana, Uran and Lopez all don't get along, for example, but I don't know how true it is
It's ten m wide... Bikers are pussies.
Holy shit, it would make an epic stage.
she was 19 and you feared her.
>very little endurance training
Depends what you mean by very little. If you mean "basically none" then I'd say no. But even with just a little training and learning how to pace yourself then you can probably do it. Although obviously like everyone else says you'll be much much slower than the pros.
>fastest woman is nearly double the amount of time of the fastest man
Wow.
>QOM
I can imagine Quintana and Uran not getting along too well. They're polar opposites personality wise with goatboy being a lowkey, taciturn guy and Uran outspoken. I don't for sure though. They might even be friends so don't take my word for it.
Lmao.
Maybe he's just telling him to go follow another sport because he's saying he doesn't know anything about cycling. And with the glasses thing I'm guessing he's saying he's blind.
>Alaphilippe definitely benefited from it
From the soigneur's push? I watched the video, he maybe gained a couple of seconds maximum. So fine, dock him 5 seconds if you want, it really didn't make a huge difference.
Huh, here they say that it's already great that he could have kept the yellow for so long, and Flip himself says he doesn't think about victory, everyday is another battle.
I would be very surprised if he wins.
Another hostel tier hotel today, at least they werent 70km away from the finish like CCC i guess

Well, not exactly surprising.

>caring for anything than the bed
If I were a pro rider the only thing I would ask for is a quality mattress.
Pinot has a fucking hard work to do if he hopes to win.
Why does he rank it out of 7?
Also I was thinking how unglamorous it is to be a cyclist, unless you're an absolute top guy like Froome. The vast majority of them probably don't make very much money at all. They have to sleep in shit hotels sometimes. They have to ride fucking 100 to 130 miles a day, up some really fucking steep climbs, and they have to be within a certain time of the leaders otherwise they get cut from the race. Probably one of the most gruelling and masochistic sports ever.
They certainly don't live the glamorous life of professional footballers. Although sure there are many footballers who fight tooth and nail just to get a contract, and especially if they're in the lower leagues then their lives may not be as glamorous.
But still. I think pro cyclists have to do more work than most pro athletes. Maybe I'm wrong but it's a guess. Three weeks, like 6 hours in the saddle every day with only two days off over the whole 3 weeks. And even then they'll be training. And once it's done they're off to the next race. Mental.
it's not like Alah is in a duel against one guy (or one team). There is 3 to 5 other contender who both need to attack him and not expose themselves to others attack.
I
I was thinking a Vuelta a Bolivia including this: If they can do cobbles they can do gravel... right?
i have no solution but i imagine its a big problem if Team A is staying in an aircon hotel and their gc guy can sleep at 16-20c while Team B leader has to sleep at 25-30c especially if only a few % make a difference after 3 weeks
They still earn at least 35-40k even in their first pro season, so for a dumb guy from a poorer country this would pay fairly well for a few years. Still think they are underpayed compared to sports like football
Let’s be honest, when Quintana is on form there is no better climber.
>Still think they are underpayed compared to sports like football
I guess it's all about viewership though. Football is so lucrative because so many people watch it. With the money coming in they can pay that out to players. With cycling there's nowhere near as much money coming in.
The Premier League is exclusive to pay TV, for example. The TdF isn't - I can watch it live on ITV 4 which is free. So the TdF doesn't make anywhere near as much money as the Premier League. And anyway, I'm pretty sure the main source of income for cycling teams is sponsorship money, rather than viewership / TV rights money, which I would guess is the biggest (or at least one of the biggest) sources of income for football clubs. Then of course there's merchandise sales which is going to be much bigger in football than cycling. So yeah, cycling doesn't have as much money as football, mainly because it doesn't have as many viewers as football. If the viewers were there then it would be more lucrative.
All the hotels are equal. You bet they would complain otherwise.
Why the fuck was angel di maria doing on a bike today ? i still don't get it, i though he was a PSG player.
Just found out the G and Luke Rowe have a podcast called "Watts Occurring".
If you don't get the joke, G and Rowe are both Welsh, and in Wales they say "what's occurring?", a bit like Americans say "what's up?". So it's a pun on that. Yeah. Quite funny.
I also noticed their intro music is a Welsh hymn, and they call each other "butt" which is a term of endearment in Wales, a bit like "mate" in England.

This guy looks like he is suffering a lot, like literally paying for our sins.
I bet he's never used that, or if he did it was for riding to the shop with some rich friends at which point he locked it up with a £2 cable lock.
I'm guessing Mitchelton Scott gave him that for publicity, but it's a shame when you just know that he will likely not appreciate a bike like that at all - unless I'm wrong and Neymar is secretly an avid cyclist. But I'm guessing he's probably not.
>no descente tomorrow
So its over for Alaphilippe
1/3 of the stage is a descente.
Imagine Neymar flopping on the pavement anytime someone touched his elbow
we already explained this to you last thread you retard
His next team is Arkea that finished second to last in the TTT losing more than 2 mins so no unless they remove TTTs.
No, Uran and Bernal are friends.

>I gave the maximum in Iseran. I can not have regret. I was beaten stronger than me, that's how it is.
>I do not think the yellow jersey is still possible, it was already a dream to wear it. I pursued this dream for a long time, more than I had imagined. I did not dream of winning the Tour overnight. But I fought every day to keep the Yellow Jersey. I fought until today, during all the climb and even in the descent.
>I want to thank everyone who supported me during this tour. I was carried by the madness of the Yellow Jersey. A big thank you from the bottom of my heart. I have no regrets, I gave everything.
!
Tomorrow stage will only be 60Kms because of the weather condition.

Go Giro My Cum, Disgrace
everything you say is always the opposite of true. it is quiet impressive how consistent you are
Basically, Kino vistas all around, pushing your ass up to grab your bike and go comfy ride. Let's be honest, what countries offer so much? Though you have great sceneries as well, anglobro, you really should be up there with us.
