Really, I get that it is, but don’t understand why, if a player wants to be traded, a team is seemingly obligated to comply with the demand. The main problem with AD specifically is that he deliberately tried to sabotage his team by making his request when his desired location would have the most leverage and later making it clear that he wouldn't resign anywhere else. If you want that much control over where you play, that's what free agency is for. He made some pretty shady moves to discourage other teams and push the lakers to the front.
