Why would anyone comment about that? It's glaringly obvious Garrett is better than Pedoson.

This

1. yes pederson is leagues better
2. if pederson keeps it up with this 4th down meme bullshit (2nd quarter separated by one score, middle of the field) i'm gonna lose my fucking shit
3. that said going for it on 4th down a lot is still smart he just does it a few times too many

pretty sad because I think I've already met the love of my life, we had an incredible 2 year relationship, and recently got back together for a couple weeks. thing is she's headed in a completely different life direction (moving out to some mountain region, my work demands a city life, also she's in medical school several hours away, she's gonna be a doctor). we still clicked like hell though, we finish each others sentences and like all the same music, she's really cute too.

so yeah i guess my biggest fear in life is that i've already peaked romantically and that I'll never find a partnership like that again.

No one will ever have a better ending to a career than Peyton Manning

I've been to multiple games at 2 stadiums and never seen it. Occasionally you see the helmet as part of someone's halloween getup but even that's rare.

Depends on the Giants' record. The NY market will never allow the Giants to do what the Chiefs did with Smith-Mahomes.

Sure are a lot of pompous opinions itt.
You cretins have the combined football knowledge of a 6 year old tranny fortnite pro.

Want to talk about upcoming success? Look no further than the Arizona Cardinals. Kyler Murray. Now this is a guy who has major agility and a deceptive running style, but he is not a running quarterback. Here's a guy who can make all of the throws. Here's a guy who has the football intelligence to make good reads
This is a guy who is arguably a top 10 quarterback before ever playing a down. Kyler Murray is a guy's guy, too. He's a very tough kid. This is a guy you build around. I'm calling it now - 10-6. Playoffs. This is a guy who will change the game forever.

>quarterback wasn’t the problem
>replace him
0-16 incoming

The Watt hit is de juro an illegal hit. It should have been 15 yards roughing the passer at the very least. But they aren't going to call that in Yinzburgh because you always have to play two opponents there.

Also, two different touchdowns in that game should have been called back. Antonio Brown was literally and unironically pushing off on Donte Jackson the entire play.

>shitposting about a team that would welcome a 7-9 record with open arms

Better tell her the truth

The chiefs defense will still be shit because they dont have a single good linebacker

Linebackers literally do not matter in the modern NFL. It is all about pass rushers and corners.
Darius Leonard winning DROTY was a fucking sham, he only one it because the colts are a big market team that the media pushes.

PFF brainlets will tell you that you don't need a front seven anyway because "dude just have your DBs break on the ball and intercept it lmao"

Meanwhile they think James Bradberry is a shit corner because he only has 5 career INTs yet he has basically had to do all of the heavy lifting for the Panthers because they had no rush last year.

Riding the coattails of an elite O-Line and elite defense.

Wentz wouldn't be shit without the stupid amount of talent the Eagles have. The Panthers game proved he can't carry the team when he needs to. He completely shit his pants when he needed to make a play to win the game.

To be fair his defense really shit the bed too that game

Attached: dee-ford.jpg (600x401, 149K)

They didn't shit the bed so much as they got cocky and complacent. They were dancing on the sidelines in the fourth quarter while forgetting that the Panthers punch above their weight all the time.

Sportscucks don't care about justice, they only care about these ripped BBC beasts getting a few points for their fantasy team

Can confirm. So many people commented about their fantasy picks on instagram. From Edelman's thumb to Tyreek not getting suspended, fantasy fags are insane. Only concern is if it will effect their points. I don't understand it.

Fantasy is a metal disorder.
Its one thing to care about sports, or your team winning the big game. But Fantasy is on a whole 'nother level of cuckoldry

helplessness and futility.

They're doing it wrong, just have some beers with your buddies and try to win some money.

Girls with big asses tend to fart louder, because of their big cheeks. They also aren't able to wipe as clean, and sweat more there. The net effect is that women with big asses are the least likely to find arousal in sexualizing the area around the anus. They are too familiar with the hygiene issues to find simple pleasure there.

In contrast, women with smaller asses have minimal hygiene issues around the butthole. They also feel inadequate. The result is that they seek out and desire anal pleasure because it is validating and does not conflict with any idea of the area as "dirty".

It's an odd dilemma. If you wanna plant your face in a big, fat, thicc, athletic ass, you're going to have to find a chick who just happens to really like getting her asshole pleasured / is inordinately clean.

That is if you have friends at least which I'm assuming you don't.

If Aaron Rodgers is such a once in a lifetime talent, why aren't the Packers building their team around the idea that he can make unique passes or that he is uniquely gifted? Why not just focus on bringing on wide receiver talent, just enough of a running game to keep the defense honest, and build the strongest o-line they can to protect Rodgers? Then just pay for a budget defense.

By Rodgers dickrider logic, shouldn't he win most of his games with this setup? Because even if their defense gets run over and they have a bottom 10 defense every year, Rodgers with enough offensive help would be unstoppable. He will almost always score points when he gets the ball back. He's a comeback king. If only he had help, the Packers would win everything.

If that's really true, why aren't the Packers built around maximizing Rodgers? Why bother building a well-rounded team when you have a unique talent that you're apparently wasting?

How the fuck aren't all of those trips banned at this point? All they do is derail these already shitty threads constantly. I genuinely cannot tell if it's just one loser with a lot of spare time or if it really is a bunch of different people. They all act practically identical.

Totally.

>You guys ever feel like there’s only 3-6 real teams you’re supposed to like
No. The NFL has some of the best parity among sports leagues. There are always different teams rising and falling in the past 40 years of its existence since expanding to a 16 game season and especially since introducing the salary cap.

I mean, San Francisco 49ers used to be the golden boys of the league at one point. They're an absolute joke now. They had a brief resurgence thanks to a sock sniffing weirdo psychopath as a head coach, and now they're shit again. Patriots used to be gutter trash forever until Brady.

It just switches with time which teams are good and bad, and about 8 at a time are "real teams" while the rest are trying to get their shit together.

>Patriots used to be gutter trash forever until Brady.
They went to the Superbowl twice before Brady showed up.

And both the Bills and the Vikings both have made it 4 times in their history

thats just not how football works
look at all the gun slingers, even the best get slowed down by great defenses. Their best years came off the back of good run games and defenses, like Marino, Favre, Brees, Elway, and even Rodgers
takeaways, controlling clock, protecting the ball are all important to winning same as scoring points
the marginal gain from adding to an already potent passing attack is less than the marginal gain of adding a good run game or more competent defense. Run games thrash defenses if they don't respect them and defenses shorten opponents possessions and flip the field

What are the stats for the past few years?

Rodgers is a great QB but people get too caught up in MUH HIGHLIGHT REEL THROWS and think he’s the best ever. Being able to make hard throws is part of a QB’s job, and Rodgers may well be the best in the game at it. The significantly more important part of a QB’s job is being able to read defenses pre-snap and pick the correct play so they DON’T have to make a crazy off balance chaotic throw. Brady is the best pre-snap QB I have ever seen and it’s why he’s the GOAT. Peyton was also phenomenal at this. Rodgers isn’t, and for that matter I feel Wilson is overrated for similar reasons. Crazy good athleticism and pocket awareness, but they both put themselves into bad situations more than they need to, even if they’re fantastic at salvaging those bad situations.

>They went to the Superbowl twice before Brady showed up.
The Patriots were founded in 1960 and played in the AFL until 1969. During those 10 seasons, their combined total record was 63-68-9(.480), and they went to the playoffs just once with a pathetic 7-6-1 record, where they got fucking crushed by the Chargers 51-10.

Now after the NFL merger, from 1970-1992(before the Bill Parcells/Pete Caroll era Patriots) the Patriots were fucking pathetic. Discounting the 1982 strike season with scab players and fucked playoffs, the Patriots had a combined record of 148-188(.440). In 22 seasons, they made the playoffs just 4 times, made the super bowl once, and had a 2-4 record(2-5 if you count the strike year, which I don't)

From 1993-2000 during the Parcells/Carroll era, they went 64-64(.500), made 4 playoff appearances in 8 years, and went 3-4 in the playoffs with one super bowl appearance. So the only time pre-Brady they were maybe slightly above average or just totally average.

What does all of that boil down to? Comparing those numbers to modern era teams, the pre-Brady Patriots would be the equivalent of the modern day Dolphins, Jaguars, or Cardinals. In other words, they were shit.

Now that’s what I call shitposting!

No? Gronk is gone, Edelman is good but there are way better receivers in the league, he hardly constitutes "elite" or a stacked spot or something. Gordon is still suspended. The Patriots are in the same position as they usually are at WR: Brady making a bunch of 'literally who's household names. Do you think anyone even knows who Edelman is if he isn't on the Patriots? No.

Remember Danny Amendola? That clutch sick playoff receiver that brought the Patriots playoff success? Yeah, what team is he on now? Can you even say without looking it up? Same thing with Chris Hogan. Or James White. Or any of those other guys.

The Patriots/Brady have pretty much never had a stacked WR corp. 2007 or maybe certain Aaron Hernandez years or one other year is the only time you could argue that.

Dilate

Imagine, we lived long enough to see the most Transcedent talent in the NFL pass on the reins to the next most Transcendent talent the NFL has ever see.

Some people get lucky to live long enough to see just one great who forever changes the sport infront of them.

We got to see two.

Attached: file.png (1000x600, 1.02M)

Tits or gtfo

I know, watching Marino hand off the reins to Peyton was amazing

I'm talking about Brady to Mahomes senpai

I thought you were talking about transcendent talents though?

I am, which neither Marino or Peyton were

Mahomes is just a better Aaron rodgers right now.

Imagine taking the time to think that up and type that out. Tragic.

>Marino
>not a transcendent talent
Zoomer detected

>Mahomes isn't a transcendent talent
Boomer detected

he can't even transcend his defense

It’s been one season. Let’s pump the brakes and see if he maintains it.

>Marino
>NEver won a ring

He's got the best TE-WR combo in the NFL and a coach who's godly for QBs.

Marino had Mahomes' numbers in 1984.

You should really do better research on playoff/super bowl numbers/the league. First of all, in the first 10 years, they played in the AFL where there were only 8 teams initially, and it expanded to 10 teams near the end of its 10 year run. That means that despite 25% of the league making the playoffs each year and only 8/10 teams in the league, the Patriots only made it once in 10 years. And the one time they made it it's because the rest of their division was so bad that a 7-6-1 record was good enough to win it. Thus why the Chargers pushed their shit in.

The rest is just you being ignorant of how often the average team makes the playoffs/the super bowl. 9 playoff appearances in 40 years is not a good ratio, especially when the very vast majority of those are one and done. Most teams have appeared in a Super Bowl or two and lost them. Not a special achievement.

If the pre-Brady Patriots were "on the verge of winning a Super Bowl", so are the modern day Cardinals. Except, you know, they aren't anywhere close to it.

Marino never had Mahomes numbers

>rings are an individual stat
Easiest way to identify a brainlet

>Marino had Mahomes numbers when teams were focused on stopping the run

>Eagles
>11-5
>Now that Long is gone I suppose it would have to be Kelce or Wentz
>Absolutely
>Dying alone

>on the verge of winning a Super Bowl", so are the modern day Cardinals. Except, you know, they aren't anywhere close to it.
They were less than a minute from winning SB43

>MAhomes cant even transcend his defense
>bring up Marino has indeed never in a full career opposed to mahomes 1 complete season

I'm only bringing up what they brought up. Mahomes has transcended his defense for a first seed so far, and a career to go.

Marino never had mahomes numbers

Passing is easier in present day NFL than it has ever been before. You're retarded if you think Mahomes doesn't benefit from his era but Marino did.

Quarterback is the single most influential position in all of sports, if you're one of the best of all time you should have a ring

Marino's dolphins ran 5 WR sets when most teams didn't even have 4 CBs on the roster. He benefited from his opponents literally being unable to cover all his fast nogs.

I'm saying they both have their advantages

And the Seahawks should have ran it. Woulda coulda shoulda doesn't really translate to "the team is on the verge of winning the Super Bowl".

>Quarterback is the single most influential position in all of sports
2nd most. Pitchers have more influence over their game than Quarterbacks do. Quarterbacks need their teammates for success. Pitchers do not other than needing at least one batter to be run in over 9 innings. Much, much less team dependency than a Quarterback relies on his team to win.

I agree QB is very influential, but sadly Pitcher beats it out for position importance and influence.

Sure but a single pitcher only plays around 2 full games in a playoff series.

Pitchers very rarely can pitch a complete game. Thus pitchers have to rely on other pitchers to pitch defense in the home stretch. Most bullpen guys can only pitch an inning so you'll not only need to rely on hitters to hit one run in, you need to rely on two or more bullpen pitchers to close out your perfect game.

Meanwhile QBs don't need to rely on other QBs to close out a game. you can argue that QBs need defense, but pitchers need defense just as much, your no hitter doesn't matter if they're gotten multiple runs in due to errors.

this too

>being on the verge of winning a super bowl doesn’t count as being on the verge of winning a super bowl
I don’t think you know what “on the verge of” means

>Quarterback is the single most influential position in all of sports
>if you're one of the best of all time you should have a ring
The first part can be true with the second still being false. It may be the most influential position in sports, but that doesn't mean its necessarily influential enough to justify >muh ringzzzzzz

although honestly any basketball position is more important than QB or pitcher just because of the fact 1 ELITE basketball player like Lebron can win a championship based entirely off his talent.

cant say that about other leagues

It's you who doesn't. First of all, it's been a decade since they've been in a super bowl. Second, they haven't really even come close to being back since then. They've had some playoff runs and that's it. Their current roster is in tatters. They won't even be positioned to TRY and make an NFC Championship for like 3 or 4 years.

So yeah, the Cardinals are not anywhere near winning a super bowl. Losing a close super bowl obviously doesn't mean much because they haven't won in the 11 years since they failed to do it. Same with the Bills. Or any number of other teams that had some close calls but choked away their chance. They aren't on the verge of doing jack shit.

lol no. when Lebron was the only elite player on his team he got swept in the finals. same thing with AI on the Sixers. a single player matters more in basketball because of smaller team size, but one person cannot carry a team to a championship in any team sport.

The chiefs are on the verge of appearing in a SB

The Pats wouldn't have any Super Bowls without Tim Brody.

>Lebron wasn't the only good play on the team when they reverse swept the warriors

>Khawhi wasnt the only good player on the raptors

I think this is the best defensive play I've ever seen.

Attached: 5kdYmHVpPAHobyd_.webm (640x360, 2.87M)

Yes, and yes? Watch some basketball instead of getting your news from Twitter narratives.

That's just awful offensive line play.

>Lebron makes the Cavs a playoff contender
>Without lebron they dont make playoffs

Lebron was the only reason they got a championship.

>drafts 50 WRs when this is the state of your O-line

How can anyone support this franchise

That is currently an accurate statement, because their roster is currently stacked offensively, Mahomes now has experience under his belt, and it is reasonable to expect they will at the very least be in the playoffs this year. They may not get there, but it's a fair assessment.

Now, if the Chiefs don't get there in the next 5 years, they stop making the playoffs, can't make the playoffs two seasons in a row, they make the AFC CG and lose again, etc etc...then that statement stops having credibility.

You said they were never in “modern times” on the verge of winning a super bowl. I said they were in 2009, which is true, regardless of how bad they are now. I really hope you’re a Chicano because there’s no excuse for your poor understanding of English if you’re a native speaker

I'm sure Kyrie Irving putting up 40 points in an elimination game was entirely irrelevant. When Lebron was the only top tier player on the Cavs, they got swept by the Spurs in the finals, and couldn't get past the Big 3 Celtics. That's why he left for Miami. You really need better opinions.

I dunno, it didn't seem that bad. The RT played it alright. He had to shade to the outside against a speed rusher, and he recovered in time to make the block on the DT. The guard got blindsided, not much he could have done other than be a bit stronger in his legs and core. If Von hadn't made a freakish recovery with insane explosiveness off the ground, it would have been a positive play for the offense.

when Lebron reverse swept the Warriors on the Cavs to win the Cavs their only title, Lebron was the only good player and the sole reason as to why that team was even in the playoffs.

Lebron carried.

jags = owl

>You said they were never in “modern times” on the verge of winning a super bowl.
Yes. MODERN TIMES. As in the entire stretch of realignment. If we take the entire era as a whole, it is apparent they were not imminently poised to win a super bowl. Losing a super bowl does not mean you are primed to come back and win it, as evidenced by the history of half the teams in the league. You are talking about individual lost games like they matter(they don't) or that losing by a small margin matters(it doesn't). A lost game is a lost game, and nobody gets partial credit for a close loss.

>a QB scramble for 5 yards after watching your line get knocked over like bowling pins is a positive play

That play wasn't a one time occurrence for the Cardinals last year. Murray had better be ready to run for his life because it's all he'll have time for. And yes I know what "positive play" means. 5 yard scrambles aren't gonna get the Tards to the playoffs though.

Complete revisionist history. Kyrie Irving averaged 27 points a game in the finals, more than anyone on the Warriors averaged. He had 41 in the crucial game 5, and hit the shot that won the finals. You can say Lebron was the best player on that team, but it's genuinely retarded to say he was the only reason they won. Stop getting all your takes from Yea Forums.

The Cards o-line is and was trash, but I'm just saying they didn't do anything particularly wrong there. It was a really well executed play by the d-line, and Von made a ridiculous individual effort.

I'd also like to add that you should look up the word "modern". 11 years ago is very obviously not what I was referring to to begin with, but even if we adjust my argument to encapsulate two decades, the Cardinals were never really anywhere close to being poised to win. They made one fluke run as a 9-7 team that entered the playoffs finishing the season 2-4. And you want to count that as "on the verge". No. The modern cardinals are not on the verge of winning the super bowl.

Miller made a great effort, but the rush wasn't anything special. Against a half decent unit with any semblance of cohesiveness those rushers would have been picked up without the line looking like lost lambs.

Hockey goalies are more influential

Also in the NL pitchers can score runs themselves

>I'm just saying they didn't do anything particularly wrong there.
They absolutely did. It was well executed by the D in the sense that the outside rusher lined up wide, charged forward to make the outside lineman back up,and then cut in extremely fast to blindside the guard, but that's an extremely common tactic. Something they should know and be prepared for. He didn't react to that situation intelligently, he panicked and covered the quarterback as best he could. While it was a decent effort to try and cover his mistake, if he were better trained, they could maintain good coverage for the quarterback despite the advantageous block they achieved if he had just adjusted his assignment sooner. Instead, you'll notice Rosen is forced to side step and move forward out of the pocket and into the arms of a waiting defender because the other defensive lineman got around to the back.

It is both good play by the D and low skill but high effort adjustment by the offensive line.

What are the stadiums used for during the off season? Concerts and shit?

It's literally national news.

Orgies.

I made the tier list based on PFF rankings a few threads ago and figured I'd make another list nobody asked for or wanted: here's the QBs tier list based on a survey of 55 NFL executives and coaches. They were asked to vote for a QB to be in one of five tiers, with one being the best (S here) and five being the worst. No QB was voted as so bad they belonged in tier 5, so the image only goes down to C/4. No rookies were voted for, and I included a few QBs at the bottom who were not voted for in this list. All tiers are ordered except for that no-votes tier. Enjoy autism.
Tiers roughly correspond as follows according to the survey:
S - can carry his team week-in week-out and handles passing situations expertly
A - can carry his team from time to time but not as consistently as S-tier
B - quality starter, but needs a great running game or defense to win. lower-volume passing offense helps them a lot
C - unproven player with upside, or a veteran who is clearly a backup at this point in his career
D - terrible, shouldn't be in consideration for starting a game at any point (nobody voted into this tier for 2019)

Slow news day, I guess.

is funny how much better Cam Newton is than everyone else in B....

Are the tiers themselves ordered or no?

Other than the "not voted on" tier, they are ordered.

I mean, I don't think the o-line did a good job. I just was reacting to the first comment on the clip being "oh my god that o-line is straight trash!!!1!!1!". My first thought is definitely "Von Miller is an absolute freak."

Foles is the best player in B-tier. Cam is second though.
I think B-tier as is, it goes Foles, Cam, slight drop-off, Dak, moderate drop-off, Kirk, massive drop-off, everyone else.
Of course this isn’t accounting for the fact that Fatford should be in B tier. How the hell he got in A, I don’t know.

Jimmy G is a moderate and massive dropoff behind Dak? I think not.

He's just too unknown right now. I wouldn't be shocked if he's A-tier after this season, but right now I feel the same way about him as I did with Luck before last season: looked really good at one point, got hurt, have no idea how they'll be when they return. Luck wound up balling out so maybe Jimmy G will too but there's no way to know yet

What about Carr how much better is Dak than him really

How many all time QBs dont have a ring?

A lot. Carr got massively overrated by this board because of one good season. It's one of the few times where normies/casuals and talking heads were right and spuh was wrong

Tarkenton
Marino
Kelly
Fouts
Moon
McNair
Testaverde if you want to include him, though I don’t

Marino
Tarkenton
Kelly

Dak has been considerably more efficient than Carr

Hell Look how much better Amari Cooper played once he left Carr and went to Dak

Rivers as well

>Testaverde
The only think I remember about him was his phantom touchdown which was a catalyst for implementing instant review

How did the most recent game between these two teams go?

The Dallas Cowboys defeated the Seattle Seahawks in the 2019 NFC Wild Card playoff. Does that help with your C O P E?

The chiefs are legit dangerous.

I’m a fan of an AFC team so I’m not coping with anything

Ok

Wilson threw like 8 times in the first three quarters.

Maybe if they weren’t such a bunch of idiots

Sneth

Randy Moss

Man he must really suck if the coach doesn’t trust him to throw more than 8 times

Yeah that's why they abandoned the run in the fourth and let Wilson air it out

Losing in a championship game means you get a second round pick at a first round price and have nothing to show for it.

If Foles' meme magic hadn't run out after the first two drives, the Eagles would have beaten the Saints and won the owl.

Oh my fuck

>I’m not gonna lie: it bothers me Patriots never have a tough schedule
The Patriots as a franchise have had a tougher than average schedule since realignment. Their average schedule is, I believe, 14/32. And that's saying something because the Patriots have consistently been a top #1-#2 team their entire existence since realignment. Logically speaking, they should automatically have an easier schedule compared to the league when so often, they are a part of at least 12 other teams' schedules but they can't play themselves, obviously. Which automatically makes their schedule "easier" since they can't play the best - their own team.

So no, you're wrong. They don't always have an easier schedule.

NEW THREAD

It's not their fault they have to play the Bills twice a year.

Attached: donger.webm (720x720, 1.26M)

>6 games
Patriots have only swept their division once. This was the year they went 18-1. On average, they have around 4.2 wins from their division I believe. So depending how you want to interpret it that's either 4 or 5 a season. (4 if you round correctly, 5 if you want to complain about the Pats). Either way, you and everyone else who parrots that is wrong.
