Goat power finisher (Adriano in prime was better tho)
absolutely immense esp. in the air, basically won Porto the UEFA cup in 2011, then basically won Atletico it again in 2012, and in the UEFA Supercup in 2012 he totally ripped Chelsea a new one, scored a ludicrious half-volley in that game. He was going to be up there with the tap, tap players of the world then got injured in the French Cup against some 2nd division team, in the January of 2014, ruling him out of the 2014 World Cup, where Columbia still did really well but we can only ponder how much better that'd have done had they had El Tigre. He broke his leg and he was never quite as good after that. He was still pretty good though, and played really well against Man City when Monaco knocked them out in 2017.
In his prime, one of the best strikers of the 2010s era. Better than Cavani, more flexible than Ibrahimovic, faster than Van Persie, more techincal than Drogba.
obviously those guys outshine him in other ways; RVP had a better long shot, Drogba was stronger and more clinical, Ibra had better presence and technique, and Cavani is more consistent, but he was up there with those guys for sure.
I don't think you understand what goat means
>more techincal than Drogba.
no
>Adriano in prime was better
no
Injuries had finished him before then
He was a very good #9, probably top 10 of his time
does anyone else agree Columbia would have beaten Brazil in 2014 and been in the semi against Germany had they had El Tigre
Yeah... Whatever, they got refballed against Brazil anyway
It is so sad lads, an extremely bright future killed by an injury in a meaningless game. He had so much to give.
Have a good day
Basically won Atletico the Europa League in 12. I think he almost averaged a goal per game at Atletico as well.
people forgot Brazil needed ET and penalties to beat Colombia, you could see the 7-1 coming from a mile away
>in his prime
>was
Wait until we get him and win CL, then you can talk about his prime.
Get out
wow
good goal
Great player with a horrible agent. His agent made him take the money offer to go to Monaco which led him to take stupid injury. Not knocking the French league but Falcao cloud have gone to any team at the time of his contract negotiations.
yeah Monaco had a small squad at the time and didnt really have much backup to Falcao and played him in practically every game, risking injury.
There could be some financial incentive behind how often they played him. He got paid bucketloads at Monaco. if he'd maybe gone to Chelsea, Juventus, Bayern, Real or something in 2012 or 2013 things could have been different.
He is like 35 right? I heard something about his parents faking his age. He was good but never top class
Epic comeback
?
They won with a Luiz blooter that day
clever
God I miss him in his prime.
That's a very Turkish post
...
>blooter
It was a free kick and it was blatant reffball that lead to the freekick.
I was at the Chelsea vs. Atlético Madrid Super Cup match. I’ve never seen a better striker in the flesh.
>you now remember Yea Forums chanting Falcaos name
God his hat trick was spectacular.
Of course it's romania.
my bad, that was Chile
tomato tomato
We kinda saw the shitshow it was going to be back in 2011 when they did HORRIBLE at Copa America.
>couldn't clearly beat Chile
>barely beat Colombia
>tie with Mexico
Honestly I don't know if they could even finish in the top 3 of CONMEBOL qualifiers that season.
watch our league
yea pretty much everyone was blinded by their 2013 confederation cup win against top euro B squads on vacation. a full year after that everyone said Brazil will win WC for sure, all bet sites rated them no1 and so on.
H
Dude, last year even I thought they were definitely at least in the final.
That is unfair. We were shitty at 2014 but managed to be decent and with a bit of luck we offered Germany a tough match.
Respectable. What does Yea Forums says?
>hahaaaa you chocked!
Brazil qualifies flawlessly for 2018, beating everybody....still chocked to a team that suffered against Japan.
Why did he get loaned to man united.
Absolutely kino striker.
His match against Chelsea in the super copa was amazing.
Especially this goal:
Lucas Castroman, pretty good actually.
Was literally the best striker at athletico before his acl got fucked
Watch your language
He was past his prime in this video though
his peak was when he was with atletico
WTF LADS
he wasn't even at the prime here
Fuck
fuck i miss him. Hes also a very religious dude, quite based.
Nice
He was top 3 striker in his prime, the guy was a beast and by far the best Colombian player from the decade. Salvador Cabañas was great too, and maybe with more potential than a large margin of south American strikers.
fuck you
His chips were so godly
Cabanas was great but unlucky.
Falcao was Ibra-CR7 tier but he had an awful injury during his peak and you cannot recover from that, even though he pulled some good seasons after that
bueno
damn...
