The 5 greatest power forwards in the history of the game. How would you rank them? Duncan is probably no.1
Duncan
Barkley
Malone
Novitzky
Garnett
Duncan is definitely first with a gap and Dirk is probably last when you ignore style and historical impact and just look at overall effectiveness on the court. The other 3 are whatever.
This is the correct order
Duncan
Garnett
GAP
Dirk
Barkley
Malone
>Dirk
>Duncan
this is first tier because they led their franchises and cities to the promise land, with Dirk taking the ultimate hardest road
>KG
>Barley
>Malone
Malone played with Stockton and someone's gotta be last.

Spinning your pivot feet like this should be a travel, but hey, NBA is loosen up the rules not making them more strict.

This is the factually correct answer.

Nowitzki is the reason why great PFs of today NEED to be 3 pt shooters. The rest of the PFs on that list wouldn't be drafted in the lottery in the current era.

spinning the pivot foot is fine. I don't like when they pick the heal up and it's just their toe still touching. once the heal comes up it should be a travel
>Duncan
>Malone
>Barkley
>Dirk
>Garnett
Duncan then Dirk, but it’s closer than most people think the others are irrelevant. Tim may have racked up rings but he always had the benefit of a great FO/HC and system, even if engine of said system. Dirks title run was one of the greatest playoff runs ever and probably the best since the lakers 15-1 run.
1. Malone - pretty much the archetypical power forward
2. Garnett - is a power forward, but has some guard skills and a skinnier build than usual
3. Barkley - lacks power forward height, but still manages to do power forward things along with some guard things
4. Duncan - does more center things than he does forward things
5. Dirk - does pretty much the opposite of the power forward job description
This
duncan
garnett
barkley
malone
novitzky
>1) Duncan
+ Most rings, best defensively, most wins
- Not as clearcut of a #1 as you may think because his era was easier than Malone/Barkley's
>2) Barkley
+ Highest peak, best offensively (scoring and passing), best playoff performer, only doesn't have a ring because he ran into MJ
- Worst defensively(by far)
>3) Malone
+ Best longevity and consistency. Good defender. Shut down a prime Duncan in the playoffs as a 40 year old
- worst playoff performer out of the 5
>4) Dirk
+ Best shooter and floor spacer. 2nd best offensively after Barkley. Very good playoff performer
- Easiest era, worst rebounder, only average defender
>5) KG
+ 2nd best defensively after Duncan (argument for 1b), 2nd best passer after Barkley
- not #1 out of the 5 at anything, easiest era, inconsistent playoff performer
It's actually really close between 1-5 tbqh
90s and early 2000s was the easiest era?
