I think his whole career hinges on whether he learns how to shoot the 3 or not. If he learns how to shoot 40+% from 3, he can draw people out of the paint and drive for dunks and high % 2s. If he can't, he will never get anywhere near his comfort zone of dunks and lay ups because everyone can mog him, he won't have a 3, and no one wants a player that shoots long 2s.

I don't think there will be a clear bust/success determination until about year 3 barring some kind of catastrophic injury or failure to lose weight. Dude needs to be about 260 at the heaviest at that height to be in the NBA.
