Perhaps the best explanation is simply that there is nothing to see. No change in condition. If he got hit badly in the neocortex, he simply doesn't exist anymore. If there was any improvement, they'd tell about it.

honestly though is this THE WORST way to end up in his situation ? He was one of my heroes as a kid and it pains me to see him go out this way. If he had just died in that accident people would grief and have races in his honor or dedicate victories to his memory. The way it ended up he slowly drifts into irrelevance as even talking about him is a bit of a tabu and uncomfortable. Just imagine possibly the greatest F1 star that ever walked the earth (or among them) and people dont even want to talk about him because it is an uncomfortable topic. I guess this is the worst case scenario for someone who has achieved so much to see his legacy tarnished like that... A fucking shame...

yeah I definitely also plan to do that, my grandpa wouldve also turned out to be a potato if he didnt take care of it. It was hard on my mom to decide that it makes no sense to try and bring him back but ultimately I think it was the right decision. Only thing that man truly was afraid of was ending up like Schumacher did... horrible way to end. And if I personally had the choice I would choose Sennas death over Schumachers eventual death without hesitation.

We conducted a study about injuries in ski resorts before and after the helmet trend. From memory, skull fractures were less than 1% of total injuries, general skull injuries were around 10% (cuts and ko's), facial injuries (which a helmet doesn't prevent) around 15%, and cervical vertebraes injuries above 20%. It turns out that after the helmet trend only light skull injuries decreased, but cervical injuries increased, and the helmet seems to be the aggravating factor.
