Well, what do you think yourself, OP?

I prefer goal difference being the deciding factor. It’s more exciting for the run-in. The top two teams have usually already played each other before the last few games of the season. If two teams are level on points with say, 5 games remaining, we’ll already know who wins the league should they finish with the same point tally.

Soccer is a girls sport, stopping shitting up the board with these threads ladies

alot more complicated
but is a good idea

Just schedule city-liverpool for the last game of the season

Leave it as it is.
LEAVE
IT
AS
IT
IS
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Well done England, well done.

For me ideally it would be:
1. h2h without away-goal rule
2. goal difference in h2h
3. season goal difference
then the rest

Why don’t yall just have a playoff game between the top two lads

>rigged schedule
>play-offs
>this gimmick
when did the prem lose its way?

Terrible idea in my opinion. Reduces the chance for drama so much. What now if we have a situation on the final day to decide a relegation spot, where one team is three points behind the other, with similar GD but lost both games to them? Suddenly that final day battle is totally lost.

Because the team that finishes second doesn’t deserve a playoff chance to win the title.

FA really want liverpoo to win the league. I thought VAR would stop all the absurd penalties they were given to help them win last season but after watching VAR in action and now this, I expect them to get even more bs calls

Fuck off, thunder thighs.

what they should do is stop penalties from counting towards the golden boot

eh makes sense
team a beats some shitters 8-0 but loses to team b
team b beats the same shitters only 5-0 but beat team a so they finish below them?
>just like la liga
and the world cup and euros and many other competitions

>implying girl's sports aren't sports

Probably another desperate effort to help Redditpool win the league

They should've won those games then and not hope to farm 8 goals vs stoke

dont even want playoffs after season end to decide who gets promoted
>well done after 41 games you finished third
>now you have to play the team who finished 6th twice and then the winner of another play off between teams who finished fourth and fifth

>leeds fan

But what if a team is 3 points behind, has a much worse GD but better H2H. Use your brain

this is fine

What’s the point in this thread. It’s happened, get over it ffs

Nah I like that about the Championship. The whole point of that league is it’s a brutal slog all season and then a ridiculous meme conclusion with the playoffs. It’s the most punishing league in the world.
>Leeds

liverpool would win the league too often, no.

good for Liverpool, horrible for Arselel

>tf
>tt
Go away

Based autist. You must be a hit at parties

have a mate whos a leeds fan and i wet myself laughing at them going out in the playoffs
and my opinion about playoffs apply to all levels of football not just championship
imagine in the Olympics 100m
after qualifying runs, heats you get into the final and get a bronze
you know have to run again against the runners who finished 4th, 5th and 6th
nah, not for me

I agree generally about playoffs but they suit the championship. It’s not like the team that finishes 1st is disadvantaged by the playoffs. They’re promoted automatically. I’m ok with a team that finishes 3rd not getting automatic promotion.

Playoffs for Champions League would be kino. Imagine Arsenal getting 4th, just to bottle it to the likes of Watford.

i retract my objections
this would be fantastic

I firmly believe 4th placed finishers and FA Cup winners should play for a Champions League place

If the FA Cup winners are already in the CL, use the League Cup winners

If the League Cup winners are already in the CL, use the FA Cup losing finalists

If the FA Cup losing finalists are already in the CL, use the League Cup losing finalists

If the League Cup losing finalists are already in the CL, use 5th placed finishers

This we need real sports like mma shitting up the board instead.

Soccer is much more tolerable.

i dont want to see arsenal in the champions league

I see you're a dickhead.

It should be decided on sponsorship income

Defensive football will dominate.

>Liverpool finish level on points with City and have a +6 goal difference
>still don't win the tile

Attached: cumming.jpg (736x522, 32K)

Makes sense, i'd rather it goes on who can beat the other team rather than who beat Newcastle 9-0

I think this is valid.
>an already relegated team gets curbstomped 9-0 in the last 2 games since they dont give a fuck, while you had to fight tooth and nail against the 3 months ago and barely won 1-0

Head to head only comes into play when goal difference is equal you absolute whopper

Holy shit you're retarded

>that flag
just stop

read the OP retard

>Teams finishing level on points in next season's Premier League will be separated by head-to-head records - not goal difference.
>level on points in next season's Premier League will be separated by head-to-head records - not goal difference.
>next season's Premier League will be separated by head-to-head records - not goal difference.
>will be separated by head-to-head records - not goal difference.
>head-to-head records - not goal difference.

Gives more drama throughout though, makes top 2 matches or relegation games better

room temperature IQ award

playoff system when?

Was about fucking time to get in line with the rest of the world.

If that's the case then this is the shittiest written article

Man they really wanted Liverpool to win didnt they?

>Head to head only comes into play when goal difference is equal
then why does it say "head-to-head records moving above goal difference to separate teams" in the title, and on the bottom "will be separated by head-to-head records - not goal difference"?

See

i suppose op was wrong then.

Based:
-playoff system
Cringe:
-points system

Prove me wrong. You can't.

I like the goal diff because it is more English. It rewards you for taking advantage of smaller, weaker opponents.

You're missing the point of a discussion forum.

Kek. How fucking dumb do you have to be to think it’s complicated

For me it's alphabetical order

We got all baited by the OP bros

>believing the Daily Mail in any situation, ever

How thick are foreigners?

Then the rule is basically irrelevant. Have they ever played an end-of-season play-off?
