Germany. Great at football despite 2018 WC, great at motorsports, have some good cyclists.
is an vehicle a athlete?
isn't there some globalsport counter internet site? I think I've saw it sometimes
England
>football and motorsports
Top kek.
As much as I hate to say it, winning the world cup in football, rugby and cricket is kindo. America needs to start playing those sports and competing with the world.
Football, rugby, cric, snooker, acid attacks, englel is the best
Only Anglo countries and the US are top tier at more than three/four team sports
it's england or usa and im not even memeing.
wait w0t? I thought Englel was shit at soccer. I don't consider rugby and cricket as sports that actually matter, either
Per capita? Well I'd hate to boast but for god's sake we're doing pretty well.
Otherwise Germany, the US and maybe Russia would be up there.
well, you play rugby
>I don't consider rugby and cricket as sports that actually matter, either
then you are a retard
is volleyball a sport that matter? Because lately we have been pretty good at it too

Plus you have Platense, which is /ourguys/
alright, OP, i'll roll with this concept
obviously baseball, hockey and cricket don't matter those are right out the window. soccer obviously has to be included since it's the most popular sport. basketball is the sport that requires the most out of it's athletes. chess is the sport of geniuses and it adds a mental aspect. so let's go with chess, soccer and basketball
>countries best at soccer
i only know that brazil is no longer on the list but others will have to fill out this area
>countries best at basketball
usa obviously #1, spain, france, argentina are strong. serbia and lithuania improving rapidly
>countries best at chess
russia historically, not nearly as much now but still one of the top countries. norway because of magnus carlsen. usa, china are strong... ukraine and azerbaijian have always been amazing considering their size
Sports that actually matter worldwide

NFL and baseball are almost non-existant outside of US(baseball maybe a bit less but still). Overall Brazil/USA/Germany, France and England as honorable mentions
It's honestly England
the fuck is handball?
baseball is big in east asia
Currently? France. All-time, Brazil, then Italy and Germany.
>basketball is the sport that requires the most out of it's athletes
No that's Hockey.
>womens world cup
might as well include wheel chair football as well m8
but did you win you stupid tea drinker?
>the fuck is handball?
A semi-popular sport in Europe
>baseball is big in east asia
And running from lions is big in African tribes, doesn't make it a sport that actually matters.
Include the Wimbledon trophy when you have a winner not from +100 years ago. Same with the world cup
England just finished in the semi finals in both the men's and women's world cups. If you average the positions of each country with a Ro16 = 16th, QF = 8th, and an SF = 4th, England had a better average position than France (1st+8th = 4.5th), Sweden (4th+8th = 6th), USA (1st+DNQ = ∞th), and Netherlands (2nd+DNQ = ∞th+1). England averaged a 4th. This makes England the intersexual world cup champions, therefore the undisputed best footballing nation on the planet.
Baseball is popular in US, Korea, Japan, and somewhat popular in Cuba, China, Venezuela and Dominican Republic.
Why wouldn't "matter"
Sorry guys, accidentally clicked post before I finished writing. Had to delete. Please refer to my completed post above.
America, Japan, Korea and starving third worlders. Hockey, handball and anglo sports were already barely fit, baseball would be too much
>America, Japan, Korea
that right there's more global relevance than the entire EU
Except it's like the 4th sport in the US. Fuck off, baseball isn't getting on my list
>I thought Englel was shit at soccer.
We're struggling to get to the finals (outside of the U-20 World Cup which we won in 2017), but in recent history the women have done:
>3rd in Womens World Cup 2015
>Top 4 in Womens Euro 2017 (+ Golden Boot)
>4th in Women's World Cup 2019
While since the wake-up call of Euro 2016, the men have done:
>4th in Men's World Cup 2018 (+ Golden Boot)
>3rd in the first European Nations League
>looking to be safely qualifying for the Euro 2020, with the final being held in London so you know they will be gunning hard for this one
Sure, the trophy cabinet is looking a bit bare. But if "consistently finishing in the top 4" makes us a shit team, there are a whole ton of shitter teams in the world.
>somewhat popular in Cuba, China, Venezuela and Dominican Republic.
Nigger, theyre baseball CRAZY in Cuba, Venezuela, and the dr
We also won U20 Euros I think.
Serbia, perennial over-achievers outside of soccer
Also
>India 1 billion cricket poos to choose from
>England no-one gives a shit about cricket
>still win
Spain absolutely
and for its size Serbia, no match. #2 in basketball, if there weren't roided up niggers and whole industry in USA we would be #1 no question
we suck at football though
Why Spain? They only play football, and their national team is pretty bad at the moment.
>no-one gives a shit about cricket
Sounds like a lie
good at basketball, waterpolo, volleyball, soccer and most sports that the rest of the world plays
it's true
>and most sports that the rest of the world plays
Such as?
Poo's literally see rugby as primitive/beneath them
we are not talking about cricket and similar """sports"""
Only the final was shown in free British tv.
who the fuck cares about waterpolo or volleyball?
But you're going to tell me volleyball counts as a sport.
They are good at Basketball, but the gap betweem them and US is abysmal, like you can't even compare. Also, Serbia, France and maybe even Australia are better at this point.
Same with their Volleyball.
Is not because a country is slightly good at something that they can be put in the same category as the actual elite ones.
US is absolutely enormous in all of the sports i listed
Today was my first time watching cricket on purpose. Spent more time gloating than watching desu.
volleyball is real sport unlike kicking a ball with a stick in faggy suit
at least it's not nigger version of it like murika plays it, but it still sucks
USA
We're the best basketballing nation.
We're the best soccerballing nation. We just won the World Cup ffs!
We're good at almost every Olympic event.
We're great at hockey!
We have the best boxers of all time!
What else is there?
Englel is shit at soccer, don't let the brits fool you in this thread.
>volleyball is real sport
it's about as much of a sport as that kicky up bag thing americans do. hankey sack or some shit.
Literally, objectively better than you currently.
Comparatively speaking it's us or Slovenia
As much as it pains me to say it, Australia all the overall champions of sport.
As much as it pains me to say this as an English person, I'm gonna have to go with Australia. Taking their relatively small population into account, they're ridiculous overachievers when it comes to sport.
Comparatively speaking it's us or Croatia
afl and league don't matter
spooky
>brits will never know this feel
>inb4 muh world wars
You don't even have good Nbugus, they are all french.
Very ironic choice of photo... you aren't by any chance, dare I say it, underrating us?
You don't have any good Krauts, and even your Turks aren't helping you anymore.
When were turks ever relevant for german NT? There is literally only Ozil and Can.
Nowhere near compared to your pace Ngubus, angl*id
The top ten allround sporting nations are;
USA
Australia
France
Great Britain
Germany
New Zealand
Spain
Serbia
Japan
Brazil
Don't > me.
What are some sports that matter?
Association Football
Cricket
Rugby Union Football
Basketball
Field Hockey
European Handball
Water Polo
Rugby League Football
Ice Hockey
Baseball
The USA for sure
>Basketball
>Baseball
>Half of soccer
>Second in hockey
>First in American football (would obliterate any other nation if this effort was redirected into Rugby)
On a per capita scale it would have to be something like Serbia or Croatia
>Basketball
>Tennis
>Good at soccer
Why does this stereotype that Germany is great at Motorsport exist so heavily? In Formula 1 for example GB has more overall titles for drivers and constructors, and a metric fuck ton more in terms of numbers of championship drivers and constructors. Germany's entire legacy rests on 2 drivers and 1 constructor.
Do people really base their opinion on Motorsport because the best car the average Joe can afford is a BMW or Audi?
Spain is really good too, forgot about them.
>Soccer
>Tennis
>Basketball
>Napping
>second in hockey
They're a top 5 nation when it comes to ice hockey m8, still great but there's more than one country that produces better players.
None of those sports matter.
USA by a big margin. But they sux at the most important sport of the world.
Serbians crush tennis, water polo, and basketball and are a second or third tier country at soccer.
All in all considering the size of the country having that degree of prominence in three sports while still remaining competitive at a fourth is pretty impressive.
A car built in Germany has never won the World Constructor's Championship
I'm really glad people are saying countries like Spain and America in this thread. I hate smug Nordic fucks who point out per capita medal statistics as though the fucking trillion medals that Norway wins in fucking Ski Jumpathlon matter to anyone
>ctrl+F Netherlands
>1 result
They're the only white country that is great at Baseball.
we're better than them at afl
Ireland are pretty good at sport considering their tiny population combined with the fact a lot of their talent goes towards memes like Gaelic football and hurling.
Conversely, Scotland are the worst sporting nation of all time.
Probably Australia.
Equestrian?
This or Hungary
that’s a meme from 20 years ago.
Ha, no we're not. We're better than them at International Rules, not Australian Rules
No,you are just chokers in the WC.But atleast you are not the Netherlands.
Germany has choked at the last 3 world cups meanwhile England were in the semis at last year.
This upcoming Norn Iron matches are affecting your faculty of reason mate.
>First in American football (would obliterate any other nation if this effort was redirected into Rugby
They don't have the endurance for it.
Cope as fuck, those feral niggers would eviscerate your hometown boys any day
retard, the 2014 squad only had Özil, Khedira (who isnt even turkish) and Boateng (idk where from)
rest were german or european.
Boateng and Khedira are half-German. Oezil is like 3rd generation.
They were pure as all hell yet beat out the degenerate negrified squads of England, France, etc.
Then surely some African country would be the best if 'feral niggers' is all you need to dominate a sport? Or do you have to obese too?
Well you need the little 25% European admixture to give them some more stockiness but not too much so as to remove the fast-twitch muscle fibers
stfu you spastic
Boateng and Khedira are honorary German.Oezil on the other hand is a legit diaspora turk, that only played for germany to win more.I am 90% sure Oezil feels more for his turkish roots then for germay.
The whole scandal about Oezil claiming muh racism and the DFB is ridiculous. The DFB literally tried as hard as they could to get Oezil a german passport, when he was still in the youth team of schalke at age 16.
Both the DFB(our football association) and Oezil are massive faggots. They wanted him so hard, only for him to generate a massive shit storm years down the line because of his behaviour.
Boa,Khedira and Can are based tho.Boa is just a bit retarted that he thinks he is the 4th Migo,JayZ or Kanye.
The actual answer is us.
No other nation is as competitive at the top-levels of as wide a range of sports as us.
Seething JFs are incapable of admitting this though.
Enjoy your thread.
they don’t play rugby. blacks will dominate rugby in 30 years time, only reason they don’t now is because they don’t play it but they are starting too.
We're somewhat of a Jack of All Trades nation. We enter basically everything and are consistently getting to the upper tier of each one. We don't always claim gold, but we always remain in the discussion. There are always Nations that can beat us at a major sport, but there are very few single nations that can consistently beat us at three or maybe even two of them. The reason everyone seems to take an ABE/ABUK approach is that the only way to take is down is with a group effort.
Compared to the US who are masters of certain "American" sports with small international player bases but are either non-entities or are complete trash at the rest.
These, Britain is by far the most dominant nation in F1, both in terms of drivers and constructors. And also when it comes to drivers we have more titles, and more winning drivers too, than any other nation.
Same with constructors - most overall titles (33), and most winning constructors too. Italy is second for constructors' titles, with 16, owing to Ferrari's success.
And of course Germany's only winning constructor (Mercedes) builds their F1 cars in Britain, with engines made in Britain, and a staff that is almost entirely British. In fact apart from Toto Wolff, there is only one non-British guy among their management - Aldo Costa, who is Italian.
Managing Director of Powertrains? British.
Technical Director? British.
Chief Operating Officer? British.
Performance Director? British.
Director of Digital Engineering Transformation (whatever the fuck that means)? British.
Technology Director? British.
The entire fucking staff of that team is British. Including the winning driver, lmao.
BEST TEAM IN EACH SPORT
>football

>basketball

>hockey

I'm biased but I'd say the US
>rugby
New Zealand
>cricket
looked it up and apparently Australia has the most WCs so I'll give it to them
>golf
US...Nicklaus, Tiger, Palmer, Hogan are all American
>tennis
US has the most slam champions in the open era
objectively, the US is the best overall nation. Even if you take away baseball and football (for being only played by the US) we still have 3 sports were the best at where no other country has 2
US might have the most grand slams, but you don't have Djoko, Nadal or Federer, or a relevant male player for that matter.
But besides that, well observed.
Not currently, but I'm doing a historical analysis
Roddick and Agassi didn't retire too long ago
>US is the best overall nation
The only relevant sport you mentioned where I think you have a point is golf, but even golf has many different champions of many different nationalities - look at Rory McIlroy, Danny Willett, Francesco Molinari, Sergio Garcia, etc. Every other sport you mentioned either isn't relevant (isn't played globally by all nations, or even any nations at all, at a serious level) or you're falsely claiming that the US is good.
E.g. tennis. The US used to be good with Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi. But that was a very long time ago. The top four of the modern era are of course Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, and Murray. Now I'll be the first to admit that Murray is the worst of the top four, but he's still better than any other modern American male tennis player.
The most popular sport in the world is football and you're absolutely shit at that. Lmao. Rugby, shit. Cricket, shit. Motorsport, absolutely shit. When's the last time there was a winning American F1 driver? Fucking decades ago. Or an American F1 constructor? Oh yeah there's Haas and they're shit. Oh yeah and you lost the America's Cup to New Zealand in 2017, fucking lmao.
Pathetic.
>he's hanging his hat on F1
nice """sport""" you got there
And I'm not talking about the modern era you shitbird. I'm talking historically
Rugby is probably less popular world wide than Baseball, in a professional level is certainly inferior.
Here is the rundown of all the World Cup winners of the 21st century, as well as their top3 finishes
>Australia, 5 Gold (3 Cricket, 2 Hockey), 5 Silver (2 Rugby, 2 Hockey, 1 Water Polo), 3 Bronze (Cricket, Rugby, Hockey)

Are they? They have never got near a Football world cup final, never got past the quarter finals at the Rugby and are irrelevant to Cricket and they only have 9 Olympic Gold Medals compared to our 46. You're right that they have their own sports so I wont outright call them shit, especially since the absolute meme that is Scotland exists
Russia has the best figure skaters
He hasn't included Rugby League and Netball either and that would be a bunch more world cups for NZ and Australia. He also got the Rugby for NZ wrong. We have 3 titles

> have some good cyclists
no you don't
sports relevancy is entirely dependent on geographical location.
England are the only country on earth that straddles the upper-class sports like cricket, rowing and rugby, and the runt sports like football and darts.
we dine out with the posh sophisticated people like South Africans, Aussies, Indians etc, and slum it with the South Americans and French playing football. who else does that?
I'm not sure if we should add rugby to the list, regarding the current level.
we just won the world cup, bro
