Would you watch My Little Soccer if there was a promotion/relegation system? I think I might occasionally watch it if there was actually something at risk.

No

I only watch EPL but I would care about this league more if it was just like a normal soccer league
Although the conCACAf cL doesn’t give it a lot of incentive

No, I only watch women’s soccer

Promotion and relegation between first division liga mx and second division mls when?

Who is this

That’s my sister

Maybe, but the league would die out when 2 teams cement themselves and the rest of the country would never care

Mexico or death. Tough choice.

What's the point of watching the league if you didn't care about who wins but instead who gets relegated? Is this how Yuros convince themselves their leagues are worth watching since the same team wins every year?

>Team X gets relegated
>Team X relocates to a larger market
ugh

no

Unless you all want ATL UTD to turn into FC Bayern: American Edition then relegation is stuuupid

Even if we got relegation, we should keep the playoffs. Not having playoffs is simply unamerican.

You say this most people would give a fuck when they clearly don't

FATlanta isn’t even good anymore.

I get ignored everytime I say this in /mls/, but the reason people don't watch the MLS has nothing to do with this shit
It's because the most exciting part of the season, the playoff chase and subsequent playoffs, start right as football starts, baseball has its playoffs, and gets routinely interrupted by international windows.
It's impossible to follow

I actually do have an MLS team that I've been to see play a few times, and it would be way fucking better if they had something to actually play for.

The problem is that yanks are retarded, obsessed with "winners" and "domination" and I bet ticket sales would plummet and no doubt clubs would cease to exist if they weren't all in the "elite" American league of football. Relegation would probably spell disaster for many clubs due to their fickle nature.

Pro/rel would only give a slight increase in interest if any
You guys are confusing what you like with things that have actual wide spread appeal like quality, scoring, and competition

You're confusing with being a casual with something only Americans do
I assure you it's a world-wide phenomenon

No.

Americans are soulless customers who would never support a local club through relegation. Relegation would kill clubs and as a result, investors would keep away from the MLS since the lack of loyal fans makes the risk of relegation too high.

If Americans had a football culture things would be different, but they don't so it's not.

There are clubs in the English third tier with zero hope of winning anything that still get 20k+ fans regularly turn up to games. Teams like Newcastle too, 50k+ and they haven't won anything this side of colour television.

German lower divisions are well supported too.

>F tier leagues laughing at F- tier leagues
Both will never win anything who cares.

Also 8 game cfb when?

I'm not saying support there dies off
Just it does decrease

Just having supporters isn't impressive
College football have plenty of team with higher attendances and more fans than pro teams

>it would be way fucking better if they had something to actually play for.
What do you mean? By virtue of being a MLS team they have a more realistic shot at a title than any non-Big 6 EPL club.

No, because I watch the superior USL

I would take their league more seriously if they had prom/rel

I think it's exciting enough, especially if you can find a team to get behind. I don't think the sport is big enough to support to tiers in America though.

America has never had tiered sports. Minor leagues and college have always supplemented the majors with their fixed teams.

Yea, so I think if you introduced a tiered league system in America people would jusy jump ship if their team got relegated.
I'm drunk af so I'm probablynot being clear
