no
ye I play sometimes
i'm not good though. most decent club players would wipe me.
Keep your racket up and ready
stay on your toes
get under your shots by bending your knees more
always have trouble playing backhands out the back corners
Yeah, fuckers keep playing shots right in the corner. How the fuck do you get them unless you scoop it out
Think it just comes with experience
knowing when to let it come of the back wall and play it late or playing it early. PSA puts a lot of pro matches on youtube for free so you can see how the pros do it.
ofc the subhuman has never played it, you guys would rather stab each other
Yeah man, squash is a great sport. I played in college, I was pretty good. I play casually now.
I dunno how much of a beginner you are, but I would say make sure you're getting back to the T in between shots, and make sure you prep your racket early before you go to hit.
As for getting it out of the corner, it just takes practice, like the Brit said. Be patient and let the ball come out, or be proactive to cut it off early. Take a full swing whenever you can, and make sure you're giving yourself enough space from the back wall that you don't feel you have to scoop. Hit enough of them, and it'll start to feel natural.
I would ruin everyone in this thread at squeakbounce
scrape the wall scrub, if you play someone good every serve will be like that
Anyone in NYC wanting to play?
Just play real tennis lol
Tennis is slow and boring. Squash requires more athleticism, coordination, intelligence, and strategy.
>accountant squeak
Kek
>otherwise known as accountant squeek
I thought it was deathroom
Before I get into a tough match, I like to car bomb the house of my opponents the day before, to throw them off of their game.
generally focus on getting back to the T but also anticipate what your opponent is likeliest to do
And don't just try and survive, actively try to put the ball somewhere it fucks up the other guy the hardest
>Back to the t
Said a few times ITT but then they just play that sneaky soft shot.
I'm assuming it's alot of guess work too
I've played about six games or so.
No problem hitting it, get the occasional complete miss but generally get into good Rally's. It's just the fucking back wall shits and and I think need to play for intelligent shots
Squash is based. Unfortunately, it’s hard to find courts outside of the north east or large cities. We only have faggot racketball in my city.
Ah yes frontón but for pussies
Any Basque here to talk about the sport of the strong?
We need to get public courts. You can go to just about any public park and there are basketball and tennis courts. If we get the same for squash, at least at some level, then it will be more accessible and lose the "country club sport" stigma, and it could be really popular.
It is, but generally if you have the speed, from the T you can catch any ball unless your momentum is completely fucked (which it shouldn't be because you should've sent your opponent rushing to a ball too giving them less time and precision)
But yeah, sometimes you gotta really anticipate a dead soft shot because that fucker will fall dead to the floor if they play it right (and if you're playing with a difficult enough ball) and march there in advance, but that's just gamesense and you can only develop it by playing more matches
>Any of you lads play squash
no I'm not gay
play it off the wall before
The point of getting to the T is that then you're in position to get anywhere on the court. But yeah, when you get good you can read the point and your opponent and anticipate the next shot.
I heard if you don't get into racquet sports early you'll be shit your whole life. Is it true Yea Forums?
I started playing around 14, and I think I was pretty good.
go back to the key (intersection at top of the red T) as often as you can
