Tatum’s stats aren’t slightly better though? He’s not a marginally more efficient player, he’s significantly more efficient. If Tatum and Ingram were clanking shots at equal volume and percentage then they’d be much closer to each other in terms of efficiency, Ingram doesn’t get bonus points for taking and missing bad shots just because Kobe did it much better in an entirely different NBA.

Reddick is widely regarded as one of the best floor spacers in the NBA. Now you do have people that CAN shoot but none of them are knock down shooters. With Ben Simmons on the court the spacing is key for him to get to work. He has the worst game outside of the paint out of Guards in recent memory pair it up with his poor FT%. You can have point guards who can shoot the ball, shooting guards who can get 10 assists per game, small forwards who can handle the ball like a point guard and score off the dribble like a shooting guard, power forwards who can be the ball handler, and centers who can shoot 3s. I think the best way to look at the NBA and understanding positions today is looking at is "2 guards, 2 forwards, and a big" instead of traditional 1-5.

All you have to do to guard Simmons is play 15feet off him and be ready to body him. Kuzma biggest weakness on defense is lack of lateral speed which won’t matter against a guy like Simmons since Kuzma can sag way off him.
