Going into the Team Time Trial, for the first time in 30 years there is a Dutchman wearing the yellow jersey. Is it finally /our year/? Going into the Tour it seemed to be the year of the Bird, unfortunately Jakob Fuglsang has died already in a crash yesterday, press F for him and all Danes. Taking over from Groenewegen who also crashed, Mike Teunissen surprised the bunch with a sprint victory over Peter 2agan and Caleb Ewan and is in the lead now. His Jumbo team will be the last to start today, Team INEOS will go first. BOOOO
Could EF Education win this one? Tejangles' ITT was the sole reason he was podium at the Dauphine.

It's days like this I wish Diamondback sponsored a team so I could see all those ducks in a row riding an Andean.
Ayden Sullivan
He's mostly fine btw. A few stitches in the face but nothing broken. Will see today how bad the bruising is.
Jeremiah Adams
Dunno who wins, but Bahrain will finish ahead of Mitchelton and Ineos.
Movistar will already lose a bunch of time, and Quintana will attack for sure in the next stages, kekeke.
Zachary Bennett
He didn't sing so good
Sebastian Barnes
Ineos? More like adios
Julian Baker
Today Bardet's hopes and dreams will vanish F
Juan King
Birdsong will pull through. There were rumours about his knee being damaged, but couldn't find anything concrete. A few stiches in the face, which is no biggie.
As of todays stage, we're hoping Astana won't lose more than 30 seconds. 60 seconds would be a nightmare
Bahrain-Merida or Jumbo-Visma will win, Mitchelton in third likely Ineos and Astana will do okay Movistar and AG2R will lose a lot of time

Looking for some restream help.
I got a VPN so that I can watch the SBS "extended highlights" of the stages. I'm unable to watch them live, but the 1h highlight videos are perfect for me. However, the videos won't fucking play. They just repeat ads over and over again, ad infinitum, for the SBS On Demand player.
The VPN grants me access to NBC for their highlight vid, but it's only 16 minutes and that's just not long enough.
Is anyone aware of a place to get good comprehensive race highlights that are at least half an hour long and show more than just the final 20km (which is what Tiz only shows). Anyone know a separate website where the SBS vids are shown?
Evan Long
Sorry bro, can't help you, I always either watch live or read recaps afterwards. Hope someone can help you out.
James Gomez
Astanas communique said something about muscle contusions around his knee.
Andrew Bell
Apparently the wind will be stronger in the evening and headwind is expected, so advantage for the early starters. Think Astana will loose at least a minute to the best gc team tho, Fuglsang will probably only put in 90% and he is one of the 3 good TT they have (Bilbao, Sanchez)
Leo Phillips
why is this allowed?
Jose Bennett
G. Izzaguire and Lutsenko can also finish inside top 30 constantly so at least the last 5 should be strong.
>all jakob has to do today is just hang on for 27 km
it's basically a free rest day after the crash, i bet he bikes 27 km to get to the baker in monaco on the daily
Owen Clark
>Apparently the wind will be stronger in the evening and headwind is expected, so advantage for the early starters >advantage for Ineos, disadvantage for jumbo BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
not his fault, the motor in the bike didn't stop quickly so the bike had a weird turn while already on the asphalt; WE NEED BETTER MOTORS with safety stops; also airbags on the helmets
We already have airbag cycling helmets. I see way more of these than actualy helmets in Copenhagen. I hope they get introduced in the professional sport soon so we can start seeing the faces of the riders again.
>With only three stages to go in the Tour, Vietto was still in the lead, 94 seconds ahead of Pierre Brambilla. The nineteenth stage was an individual time trial, the longest in Tour history.[9] In that stage, Vietto lost considerable time, and Brambilla took over the lead in the general classification.[9] Vietto performed worse than expected; there was speculation about why he performed so badly, and some said it was because of the motorcycle accident of a friend, while others said it was because he drank a bottle of cider during the time trial.
>The last stage was flat, which makes it hard for escapers to win time.[14] In that last stage, there was a hilltop prime, where money could be won by the first cyclist that passed. Although a group had already passed that hill, Robic was not aware of this, and sprinted for this prime.[9] When he reached the top, Brambilla had been dropped. Robic and Fachleitner, fifth in the general classification, started to work together, and left Brambilla and Ronconi minutes behind. Around 140 km before the finish, they were three minutes ahead of Brambilla, which made Robic the virtual leader of the race. At that point Robic told Fachleitner: "You can not win the Tour, because I will not let you escape. If you ride with me, I will pay you 100.000 Francs."[14]
When they reached Paris, they had won 13 minutes on them, enough to make Robic the winner of the Tour de France
I love reading these old time stories about the Tour, so comfy
I arrived in Switzerland yesterday lads, ill try to make all you niggas mad jelly again like I did the past couple of years in the /tdf/ threads. Nothing spectacular today unfortunately, just climbed some local goat tracks. Ill try to do better tomorrow :(
At least the legs were fucking amazing today so thats promising.
I remember you posting pics in the /tdf/ 3-4 years ago ye?
Zachary Turner
congrats are those elite corsa bottles ? i have a 950ml one, they are amazing

Me too, I always support riders who have been racing all season rather than those more focused on training in obscurity for a specific grand tour. Its why Roglic and Birdsong are /my guys/.
Zachary Perry
What are drinking if you are riding longer than a hour ?
The past 3 years I think yes Yes, they are great. Its difficult to find larger bottles so im happy ive got a couple of them. I never got out of the trees today so I only have this comfy flowery field for you.
Becareful, with the upsurge of ufos and alien encounters lately, they could be waiting for you around the next bend. Don`t think it can`t happen to you, shit happens all the time when alone in some desolate forest. Keep your eyes and ears open, they could be watching you from the side of the road in those dark forests. Stay safe and ride like the wind if you spot them.

This, I don't know why foreigners feel the need to change the names of the cities.

The Danish TV2 has a hightech augmented simulation to show how teams work
So your only hope is a few breakaway wins? Maybe a punchy sprint win with WVA?
Seems sad

Thats way too far for me, im in Fiesch. Ive got the Grimsel, Furka and Nufenenpass nearby so I guess thats enough big passes for me. I also got my mountainbike with me so im looking to go about 50/50 mtb and road.
Are they actually significantly better than bottom tier bidons like the lame high5 bottles I have, or just... bigger? Kinda fet up with the faint leaking and trouble opening :-|
Outside of dutchies, the only riders I support are French because I feel bad for them (and because Pinot and Bardet are based)
Austin Cox
I rode with Brian Holm today, but he turned away early
Isaiah Fisher
Not that flikker, but i really don't care who wins. Just want to see a good race.
Ryan Long
At the stage lads Lots of Germans in polkadot jerseys here for some reason

I saw Brian Holm at a grocery store in Frederiksberg yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Power Gels in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the gels and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each gel and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

get a good vpn and you can watch it everywhere.
Eli Collins
They do this every year. It's a stable of Le Tour in Denmark
Ethan Gray
Mine dont leak and are very easy to use so I guess its fine. Their main purpose is their size though, im sure there are better quality bottles in regular sizes.
So many people in one team, wtf. I thought it was like 5 max
Nathan Reed
The Brussels centre is unironically pretty and charming. I always thought it was a big city shithole but I went for a day with some friends and it's beautiful
>La Tour Japonaise Umm wtf, I thought I was watching Le Tour de France? Dropped
Dominic Phillips
German commentators had a long talk about how everyone coming from quickstep loses his edge and thats probably because of their team """"culture""" (read DOPING)
Mason Garcia
Bardet will recover it in the central massif stages, everything is gonna be fine
He has been somewhat decent this season for Cofidis. Could go a break away win in the mountains, which is certainly better than what Cofidis can do with their current team
let's be honest cycling is easily the gayest sport you can watch judging by the sheer amount of brightly dressed scantily clad men on screen at any time
Christian Walker
Big Tom is a german from Limburg

Nah its not gay once you understand the power these dudes are out putting. Enough to break your onions boy skull. The suffering is real
prize money can't go only to climbers, same for points and spinters; also each one of the 100s of sponsors hope to get something back during the season, so you have to please everyone while organizing a tour or a classic
He's only 26, in that age SIr Cristopher Froome was still zigging ang zagging uphill (and was dropped in the mountains by Sagan, the ToC 2011 if memory serves).
nice. When I see Hazard that can't pronounce one word in Flemish, I'm a bit ashamed lad
Wyatt Brown
loooooool
Owen Bennett
Yeah, it turned out I'm not good at math. Anyway, Sir Gerraint Thomas was still shit at that age, so nothing is lost for Peter. He can win the Tour de France, I believe in him.
Tbh I'm enjoying this TTT a lot more irl than I would if I were watching on tv. For the other stage not so much but TTT are p fun to watch from the stage
Michael Ortiz
I'm pretty sure tek is already married so this is a joke. Funny joke but it doesn't change the fact that sagan got cucked and dumped, which is really sad

I'm a retarded autist. It's summer and there is too much beautiful girls outside in cute summer outfit. I can't stay too much there because it makes me feel bad about myself

I didn't expect such a good performance from Barhein. Happy for the shark, maybe this year he'll take the bis.
>Quintana is already so far behind NOW is the time to attack

What's up with all these yellow guys riding disks and layout bars? I thought disks were mainly ridden indoors because they turned into sails when the wind blowed. I don't recall anyone riding a rear disk last year throughout the entire race. Is it because this course is really flat or something?
