The reason that other players announced moves earlier is because they broke the rules and talked about those things (through intermediaries) with the teams before free agency started. But Kawhi chose to follow the rules, so this is what happened. And no one forced the Lakers to wait on his decision, and he never lied to them, and he doesn't owe them anything, and fuck them anyway.
