>Playoff VORP
holy shit, 3-6 spammers BTFO. even if you ignore the fact that LeBron's is 1.5x that of Jordan's, Pippen and Horry both being above D Wade (who wasn't even on Bron's team for most of the Finals trips) is the last nail in the coffin

he stay celebration thread

LeBrick fans getting desperate

The only reason Lebron is so high in VORP is because the rest of his team was garbage. So of course he would look better in comparison to his teamates. If Jordan or Kobe had the stacked teams that Lebron had, they would have had 9 titles each. Lebron still stuck at 3-6 haha

>no argument whatsoever
uh user
>The rest of [Lebron's] team is garbage
>stacked teams that Lebron had
Pick one.

I don't understand, is that number supposed to be good or what ?
What the fuck does it mean ?

Jordan is a better player than LeBron and he won twice the championships. He also didn't run to other superstars to win titles.

there's a good explanation at
bfy DOT tw/OR75
>Better player
In what way?
>Run to other superstars
That's only because he already had them, see

Jordan is the best scorer ever. He's better than LeBron offensively and defensively. He has more individual accolades than LeBron.

>Horry at 12

where's your proof?
>inb4 FMVPs/rings

Jordan has the highest scoring average in NBA history in the regular season and the playoffs.

since basketball fans are generally fucking dumb as hell posting anything other than basic bitch stats will just anger them. it took them 30+ years to figure out how to use the three point line correctly

Kareem would be close to Jordan if his whole career was counted by VORP, and probably close to LeBron if he started at 18 like LeBron did.

tomato tomato

>one single metric is a better way to compare players than their net impact
30ppg compared to LeBron's 27 is a small difference compared to ~150% higher VORP
LeBron also has higher offensive and defensive win shares, but I'm sure you'll ignore that too because math is too hard for you

>I-it doesn't count

Jordan's also better at stealing and free throws, and they're equal in blocks. LeBrick is also a terrible free throw shooter who regularly chokes a the line.

I'm not saying that it doesn't count, but it's only one aspect of offense and by a relatively small margin, especially considering Lebron's 7apg compared to Jordan's 5. Lebron leads in every holistic offensive and defensive metric including win shares and BPM
I'll give you free throws, though.

Even the guy that invented VORP says it's flawed ffs. And look at that retarded explanation for the values, neck yourselves, bronfags

>talks about ft efficiency
>ignores that james was much more efficient from the field

did you even read your own link? OP pic is basketball reference btw
IMPORTANT NOTE: This is an old rating system that I have not used since 2004 because it was flawed. It is not an explanation for the VORP statistic that is found on Basketball-Reference.com. You can find that explanation here:basketball-reference.com/about/bpm.html

Jordan averaged 35, 6 and 6 in the playoffs all the way up to the end of first three-peat. He was so great and his second three-peat years were considered his down years. LeBron may have a massive advantage in longevity but otherwise he doesn't hold a candle to the real GOAT Michael Jordan.

6-0 > 3-6

the only stat that matters

OP is objective proof that Lebron is better in the playoffs (and that Jordan's teammates were better). Congratulations, you're a boomer.

What was his VORP in the 2004 Olympics

>pippen
>superstar

Pippen outplayed Jordan in 2 of their 6 title runs.

you mentioned Lebron's "defense"
