Today's match is irrelevant AF and tomorrow's match is pretty much inconsequential as well.
For me, its wordplay
afghanistan are fucking hopeless
every match is irrelevant until the smis
u ain't getting any of that titeness then. simple as
sophomoric form ngl
Sort of, but at least Australia's and India's last matches would finalize the permutation of the qualified teams.
Why aren’t there Jewish cricketers
this really is a commentary on the stark rift in the cricketing talent among the teams. barring Aus, India and England NONE of the teams really deserve a spot in the semis.
really grim lack of competition. even when those top teams faced each other it was one sided matches. closet was the india aus match where we would have probably won had they not dropped rohit and pandya
maybe, but I think the best Indian side trumps the best Australian side on any day
Sorry but I get a 404 not found when I opened that what country are we talking about?
wew what a finish
on paper maybe. really though this whole world cup both teams have basically been the same. rely on their top order to score majority of the runs then 2 strike bowlers to take all the wickets. both teams are basically mirrors of each other
Pakistan would have been fine if 2 of their matches weren't rained out. Quite frankly I think that the 2011 and the 2015 world cups were better than this one.

this piece of """"""art""""" is literally a fucking blue square but its le art because he le rejects restrictions. really cant think of anything more pretentious or retarded than art
The format in those tournaments lent themselves to fewer dead rubbers and a more exciting knockout phase

>bowled out in all but 2, failed to make it to 45 overs in 3
really want sa to beat the crap out of aus
My bad, it was just that one game. Yeah a few teams have had a game being rained out so Pakistan is not exceptional in that regard. They were simply too inconsistent in this tournament.
yeah absolutely grim batting. unfortunately batting requires so much technique and you can't really ever get good at it without proper grass roots cricket in the country where players can receive adequate training from a young age. think it'll be a while before afghanistan produces any good batsmen

Doesn't reflect the whole story, they came close against sri lanka, india and pakistan.
Loads of areas to improve but also lots of positives afghans can take from this tournament, really hope they come back stronger and win a game or two come 2023

And there's another great thing about the game. When you're a great batsman who can make big runs – especially against England, who are one of the best teams in cricket – it's an excellent way to end games.
>There has been one last shot in a final over of this Test, when Brad Haddin (Rohit Sharma) was in a lot of pain and I thought, 'I wonder, does he make it?' But he is a good guy and he kept on saying, 'No, he's not coming home,' so I said, 'Good.'
Yikes.
That's what happens after 12 or 15 overs. When you have a couple of late wickets, a few long bouncers, and all hell breaks loose in quick succession, that is what cricket is all about.
It's the highest intensity the game has to offer. There are times when you want to run over every crease and hit everything. But once it's over, we can let it go. That's what cricket is all about. It's a mental battle and a battle of mind and a battle of strength and a battle of heart. The ball has gone through the top of the helmet to touch the stumps and we all want to get out out of there. When the ball has gone through the top of the helmet and there is nobody left to hit it and we all have to think and feel and take one last big step as a team it's hard. It is a mental battle in this game.
Are you feeling alright?
You sound like you've had a sudden attack of autism.
>'But, at the end of the day, it's a tough, tough job because you've got to keep on playing and winning. And at the end of the day, the fans want to know who won the world cup and will they be back for next two years? They might not believe it if I go for the captaincy, but I know who they think of when they see that, and I understand, they want to win it.
>'I think what we are going to do, at the end of the day, is make the team better in the way we've been able to last season, so that we know when we're ready to go, how it goes, what happens.
>Now this is India's best cricketer. It is hard to imagine that a bunch of batsmen of his level would be able to put up their best to lose to the likes of Rahul Dravid and Arjuna Ranatunga.
>I am not saying that I agree with all of the criticism that this team has of the government. To the tune of Rs 12 crore and around 1.5 times their team value, the state government have tried to keep their hands off the finances. On top of this many officials of the state go around saying that Rs 4,000 lakh budgeted to India's national cricket body. They say it is for the development of Indian women.
>All this may be of some benefit for India for that year, but then once you start looking at all the cricketers in the country playing cricket, this is definitely not a sport for those who have financial means to support their wives and children.

That's the reality, right?
But I have a problem with the way she handles the subject. One of the most common and annoying things you hear from conservatives to progressives is that leftists are not thinking. That is, even if conservatives say something, it seems to resonate with liberals not because it's true, but because the liberal's argument is the one that actually persuades the conservative. She just takes someone she disagrees with and just goes with them 100% straight off. You know, that fucking conservative argument. (See, you gotta believe. Not only it's fucking retarded, but it can also cause you to lose whatever it is you're trying to accomplish and make your own problems bigger.) If she's being too sensitive with this, I find it very hard to believe she's not being sensitive with her politics on some level. It's so hard to understand that leftists are going to say what they want all the time while conservatives are in complete denial about what really resonates with liberals.
Now, I'll admit, I was a big Bernie supporter. I really do believe in the idea of the revolution, and even though Bernie's ideas sounded too idealistic to me when they came out, I still believed in his vision of revolution that was far more sweeping than that of Hillary Clinton. But I've come around to seeing him as a flawed candidate, something I actually find pretty offensive on so many levels. I don't mean to pick on him for this, though I find Sanders' support to be completely unenlightened, especially when he talks about how much the middle class wants a $15 an hour minimum wage, which sounds like the kind of thing that Hillary Clinton would support in a heartbeat. He'd probably be a terrible president too, as it turns out.
White one looks like James cameron
You could make the argument, the obvious thing to do would be to pick out another talented Indian player whose talent would have to be matched by the world's best and it can't just happen by default. That's what the film industry is all about and while we appreciate the idea of giving an actor the role of a superstar, it also means that the actor has to be a gifted talent like Shastri himself.
>Speaking at a Pakistani talk show, Game on Hai, Latif admitted that he felt New Zealand “allowed” England to win. “England bowled Joe Root and Adil Rashid for 4 or 5 overs after New Zealand lost 4 wickets, in order to reduce the margin of victory. England intentionally batted slow and avoided scoring 370-odd, so that the margin of victory wouldn’t be big enough,” he said.
>"But this is how one goes after this kind of thing. We saw what happened to New Zealand, and we were scared of them too." His comments were echoed by the former England skipper, Ian Botham. "I think the people have forgotten how bad New Zealand were after the tournament. They let them get away with that," he said. "What they should have been doing was attacking New Zealand. The Kiwis needed to score an extra 50 to tie the series with an outside edge—it was a little bit of an offside. But they didn't bother to do that." Botham said he believed England's innings strategy was inhumane compared to that used by Sri Lanka, India and Australia at this year's event.
Just wanted to tell everyone in /cric/ that I love you very much. Really enjoyed our time so far during the world cup.
I'll sy this again tomorrow to make sure it's properly seen

Handscomb was part of Australia's squad that beat South Africa at the World Cup semi-finals, although he missed the last ODI by seven wickets
Handscomb took nine wickets in his first Test at The Oval against South Africa at the MCG before picking up a broken arm and was dismissed at long-on against West Indies in the Caribbean Cricket League.
The 34-year-old returned to the crease for Australia's innings against South Africa in Dubai, before picking up a fractured arm and being dismissed by a bowler from mid-off.
Handscomb has enjoyed consistent runs in the World Cup, but had a quiet half-century in Sydney with England. With the Australian team, including Mark Wood and Jason Holder, struggling for runs against South Africa, that can be forgiven.
"It's a fairly serious injury and we will need to discuss the options with Marsh's management," Cricket Australia general manager of medical affairs Andy Dyer said.
"It's a very disappointing injury for the team after he had started to get back into form and he'll need specialist medical care."
Dyer said a specialist surgeon from the Birminghamshire based firm of Dardan and White has completed an examination of the former ODI Allrounder.
"The doctor has done some imaging but obviously needs to see where the fracture line is for further follow-up," he said.

wtf is he saying with that greentext
Sachin's achievements are impressive but, when you look at his individual performances, they have been underwhelming, especially in the last few years when he has had a few more runs of consistent form for Indian cricket. His only single-digit score was in the first two ODIs, as was a single-digit score against England. His six-six fifty off 34 balls against England marked the last time he hit better than 34 balls, a number which has not been achieved in Indian cricket over the last 24 months.

Shane Warne, the man, to get your machete going, and all over the place.
Stop stealing my jokes before I make them you cunt
Shane Warne: He was in Melbourne. He went through a long period with me where he was very, very comfortable with me.
Kevin Pietersen: I heard he enjoyed his time with you and you weren't sure it would be a long career.
Warne: I didn't expect that but he definitely appreciated it. When people look at the tour he got me to play cricket, I get the respect that I got playing against guys like that. It's only fair that I get it from people who I've come up against. Even if I wasn't to play, I've got a connection. I got a few family people to talk to. Obviously people say they look at the performance when you get an opportunity and not just watching.
Pietersen: Was he impressed at those times?
Warne: Well, we did play on a Friday night. We were supposed to do [Cricket Today] from the weekend but it's not been a great run for me since because I wasn't playing all week. That was a real tough time for me really, the same things going on in the media. But he was really happy with the game. He was really happy he could get him out of there and make it real good for him.
Pietersen: Was he as happy as you were?
Warne: Yeah. I was happy. He wanted me to do well and help the team and to give me an opportunity to do something I never thought I could do. I think a lot of people felt we were trying to make the first Test, but the second Test was great and really strong. We are here. We showed up. We gave the fans an opportunity to hear our voice and have a little bit of banter and that's what we want to do. The fact we played well shows the fans who are behind, that when we go out there playing at the highest level it means a lot to everybody. So it is all good.
figured out the pakistan gameplan lads

New Zealand didn't let them win, India on the other hand played like as if they wanted England to win/ Pakistan to get knocked out.
Can someone explain this cricket law to me?
>The striker shall not be able to bat and strike with his bat; the only exception to this will be the player in whose absence no striker may bat and strike; this may be achieved by either leaving the playing area or leaving the ground at the same time.
Ah yes, but that game against Afghanistan wasn't suspicious in the slightest.
>34.1.3 If one person is struck by a batted ball, if the strike is not intended to affect the ball, and after any action or omission, either directly or as a result of an intervening action, the person whose bat was struck by the ball, as well as the striking player, shall receive a fifty-wicket punishment.
>34.1.4 A player who, after leaving his/her wicket, comes back to his/her wicket and the ball has struck a fielder, and his/her bat is struck, shall be awarded only a fifty-wicket punishment.
>When the ball is not lawfully struck more than once, as permitted in 34.3, the umpire shall call and signal Boring Balls or Lacking Balls. If, in the opinion of the umpire, any runs which appear to have been missed are due to a lack of contact on the ground, he/she shall call and signal Lacking Balls and Boring Balls accordingly.

Who do you think would win if NZ vs Pakistan was played again today? Think carefully lest you out yourself as a cazzie
from an unbiased perspective, I'd go with the kiwis
hardly a bold prediction, in fact my 8-year-old nephew predicted that.
is that the private school only one?
Kiwis are collapsing and shitting themselves more and more each game. Easy victory for Pakistan.
hate feminism for having them wear pants
now that the sebbomb is in, I'll have to say New Zealand
sebbomb??
is there highlights of tomic the tank engine?
I know you Kiwis hate batting and you hate getting blown out, but this is not going to help either side either. There will be no hope of an easy win. Let's face it. Pakistan are better than a team like this. They're also a very good team. But in my opinion, the most important thing is the preparation. The bowlers here are very experienced. And they will have got a lot of preparation in for this tournament. They've played their game this year and they may even think that they are quite ready for this sort of challenge.
I'm going to go ahead and say it – I'm pretty sure Kolkata is coming for me, but only if I make sure I don't run into them on the road. The weather is terrible this season and my wife has had no luck with road trips or anything similar.
Between India and Pakistan in the final though? I think the two teams, at one stage, were so much alike that I couldn't even tell the difference once we were on the field. I think what has stuck with me though now is India's pace attack. They've got plenty of them and they work really hard at it. And I think it's about how much they enjoy doing it. Pakistan look to score runs. They don't care that you keep them under the radar at batsmen's end and in short balls. They are there to do all sorts of things to get their scores off. India don't care about this. They are very comfortable with hitting the wicket and getting the score off on a regular basis. Their batsmen are pretty much the players for Australia in that sense: they don't want to take a single wicket. They have been able to put an innings on, at times, that was pretty difficult to get off.

So yeah, we should be careful what we wish for (and don't wish).
There's no better way to understand how we got here than to go back and look at our past. It took some tough choices, but eventually we managed to get somewhere that's where we want to go, no matter what. Our future lies here in New Zealand. No more going back. No more thinking about what "hope" was all about. Right now though, New Zealand is getting the shit kicked out of it. In fact the chances of that are increasing day by day.
We need someone that will make New Zealand the right place for us. It's important that we stay involved politically, socially and economically, and keep pushing the New Zealand Government to put us back where we were the first time we tried, to be a place where we have control over what we create and how our kids learn in an environment that is more equal than ever before.
That person has to be Jacinda.
There are plenty of people here who could take us back.
But I'm not interested in that. I can't stay here.
They took my kids away for years.
They put me into foster care for over ten years.
They destroyed my family; it cost me my own self-worth.
I'm not going to be like those people.
I'm not going to look back and say I made a mistake.
Please, take my son.
Please.
And I remember the people, the old men, the women, the old people --
I remember my family, my friends, I remember what they taught me, and I remember the time I stood in front of their church with our children's father before I died --
I remember the pain, I remember.

Yeah pretty bloody good
My dad was born on New Year's Eve, in the late seventies.
He got a job working the long shift at the dairy when he was fourteen, and when the store closed he was lucky enough to make a living selling hotdogs around town. One time he was having coffee with the owner of the dairy when a kid walked in wearing a white t-shirt and black shorts. He didn't know who he was, and he just laughed. The kid never spoke.
He got fired, but my dad's wife was still paying the mortgage, and they moved back to Auckland to raise the family. When he returned three years later, he found himself unemployed. His wife was back in Auckland working as an independent contractor, while he was struggling with a bad knee. She was a housewife before getting her degree, and he couldn't find decent work.
He didn't want to pay for his own apartment, and so the two of them went to a homeless shelter. My dad found a nice apartment with a view outside on an unkempt lawn – the kind of place you'd look at in a bar, when the weather turns.
His name is Clarke Gayford.
Yes but she's so stunning and brave to have taken time out of the highest paid civil servant job in the country to pop out a child out of wedlock.
"People are talking about 'why is Jacinda here?'" asks the ex-Labour leader. "I'm asking why is Jacinda here. Where is the democracy? Where is the love? Where is the peace? The hope for our country?"
A bit disconcerting series of posts in here lads
What we think about that, is that NZ is currently facing a crisis where many people don't have the funds they need to take care of families, which means people like us are having to make do and that can be devastating if you are in the position of taking care of a newborn, child, old grandma (and they'll be sick, you might lose your job). Also there is increasing pressure to buy more junk food.
It's the same logic that allows you to live in a country that is totally fucked.

I genuinely think it's going to be NZ and Aus in the final, and NZ will win. But if there's one thing I'll be really looking forward to is a new coach and a different style of batting coach because we are having to build our batting in ways that are new, and there is nothing more exciting than trying something completely different."
Cricket Australia president of cricket Greg Inglis said he expected a "much better Test performance from Sri Lanka", but "something we could be very happy with is the performances of the young stars on their tour to India".
"I'd also note there was a bit of an absence of good cricket in both England and New Zealand but it has obviously taken a huge turn for the better. I think they were playing really well in both nations but for some reason there was a degree of disheartening from a statistical standpoint for England," the ECB president said.

"Australia is a pretty good team. They've been there for three World Cups. I think they have the strongest squad in England.
"As for the others, I think South Africa will lose one.
"Ireland and New Zealand, I think the latter one could get two or even three World Cups, so yes, they have to play for New Zealand at some point. All these tournaments are being run by the countries that finished eighth, 11th or 12th last year," she added.
"As a world record holder, I have plenty of room for personal best, but if you think about it, maybe you don't have the same options at that level, which is why players would choose to play them."
- Stuff
I've never had a "parma"
what is it exactly
The ICC's decision to place Sri Lanka and Afghanistan - the only non-Indian nations without a member in the current World Rankings - in the 2019 rankings comes after a lengthy investigation by the committee, which began after a series of scandals about the country's cricket administration and its players. The ICC also announced that nine people, including officials from Sri Lanka and Afghanistan, and one other member, have been banned for 11 matches over the same scandal.
Former ICC president Sir Les Kiss, who stepped down after the scandal broke, admitted he regretted not intervening sooner and said that having more players on the field would have given the country the edge it needed to win the tournament.
After a report from ESPNcricinfo, which had suggested the governing body was not taking the scandal seriously enough. the ICC published a statement saying: "Following feedback we received from member states and the committee itself, and due to the complexity of this investigation, we have updated the World Rankings and placed six New Zealand and Afghanistan players into the 2019 ranks after we made the recommendation to do so."

How pathetic do you have to be to copy and paste random articles and shitpost them here literally all day, in an attempt to be “funny”. Seriously, your life is a mess and you will die alone, with no family, friends or gf. Is this who you thought you’d grow up to be as a kid?
like a chicken fillet with cheese and sauce?
not steak/fish and chips?
shocked right now
hes not even doing that
he is just typing cricket related garbage into that word generator and posting the nonsensical trash it produces
In total, more than 700,000 New Zealanders have been watching their first-class cricket on TV so far this campaign and in total, more than 11.7 million people around the world have viewed at least one CWC match on television. I want a great win for the rugby fans and I'm looking forward to seeing my favourite team, and watching them go up against the all-time great New Zealand and Australian sides.
"As I have said, it's going to be special to see the final, and also to enjoy New Zealand, and hope they win."

No. The salt and yeast are in spoons. Which is retarded depending on type of salt and yeast.
I don't expect a pleb to understand
reckon we should ban lottery and instant kiwi ads lads
not because they're damaging to society but because they're unbelievably cringy
yeast in the states is uniform density... and really who the fuck cares if you use a little extra yeast? it's not going to substantially affect the outcome. if it does look to be too dry when you're mixing, you can add more water to get the hydration back to normal
i'll grant you that on the salt, though most non-brainlets are just going to use standard table salt, and the first time you do the recipe you're gonna weigh it and just write down the weight
Sick of that Thailand scooter broken arm one

I don't think they'll even allow bets once something is certain/impossible.
If they did I would literally bet everything in my bank account on New Zealand to go through and I'll probably get £10 back.
do pakistanis and bangladeshis like each other?

How's this for an idea:
If teams are level on points then you do head to head record between the two teams
If the game was a tie/wash out, THEN you consider NRR.
Only seems fair given the retarded nature of Pakistan would have been out if they bowled first.
NRR is too imperfect but who can argue with Head to Head?
Bit outlandish lad

there's no need for panic
call centre pajeets cowering behind american flags. Sad stuff.
relieved that it will be new zealand in the semis. they have clearly been one of the 4 best teams. there is a bit of a gulf between the top 4 and the cannon fodder that make up the rest of the tournament but hell, you can hardly criticise teams for simply being better than the rest.
Which Curran m8?
Looks like instead of trying and producing some kino Pakis have decided to throw the match and make some side income
pakistan will be wanting to lift their run rate up above three-and-a-half here i'm thinking
spot on
he's been posting in every wc thread you absolute casual
Lol seething paki
Yep. This is total garbage batting
if I'm a casual how come MY team is going to the semis
Honestly would rather have had Pakistan go through for the memes. NZ has one batsman and two bowlers, I dunno what the rest of their team is even doing.
Yet we beat teams you lost to. Funny how that works. Maybe next time lad, only 4 years off
Kiwis really having the audacity to call this batting garbage after that disgraceful display against Australia and being bowled out for 186 against fucking England. ENGLAND. The absolute state
>tfw you realize new cuckland were out if based black man could hit a little harder.
Literally out by inches, of course I'm going to seethe. We could have had a real shot..
oye hoye
Yeah, 1 team and barely beat them too.
>New Zealand not even playing
>get mad at New Zealand
KEK every fucking time
Don't forget India rain point.
I was at that game and disappointed that Brathwaite couldn't manage it. Thanks for making me feel better about it now knowing it kept Pookistan out of the semis.
the margins appear fine but the difference in quality between pakistan and new zealand is night and day. the only "luck" here is pakistan getting as close as they did to overhauling a far superior side. the cream always rises to the top in a round robin, as we have seen
Can someone explain to me why a team can't improve their nrr in they don't bat first?
I understand it's becasue you are chasing a set today but how does that make nrr a fair tiebreaker
We’ve fucked it brother
because your gay lmao
Doesn't change the fact nz were MOGGED by Paki Chads. And always have been
it has to be said, pakistan just don't deserve it and it feels like we're seeing justice being done. for a country so enthusiastic about cricket, with such a large population to be so weak and to play so cowardly is quite inexcusable. our qualification really is testament to how far heart and pride will get you in international sport.
>talk shit with a NZ flag
>people respond
>HURR NEW ZEALAND NOT EVEN PLAYING Y U GET MAD AT NEW ZEALAND, RENT FREE XD
Just got unlucky desu. Although losing to windies was inexcusable.
it's understandable. upsets, fortuitous wins, happen in cricket but over the course of the group stage NZ are clearly superior.
>how far heart and pride will get you
and money and wh*te privileged
NZ bullied Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Escaped India because rain and got obliterated by all good teams.
you can go on about >muh rain all you want, but rain delays are part of cricket. it would be like complaining that the clouds are making the ball swing too much. just another in a long line of weak excuses for those without the mentality to overcome obstacles
grim game
New Zealand
>lost to Pakistan humiliatingly
>lost to Australia humiliatingly
>lost to England humiliantingly
Pakistan
>thrashed NZ
>came very close to beating Australia
>thrashed England
Yeah that's confusing.
Best way to improve NRR should be to bowl a side out for not many, then chase them down in 10 overs.
My cock lusting antics have nothing to do with nrr so I'm quite confused by your reply desu
>came very close to beating Australia
>did not win
Not an achievement
yeah fuck this, I'm out
>NEW ZEALAND DONT DESERVE IT HURRRRRR DURRRRR
lmaoooooooooo
It comes down to the fact NRR is not an average but just based on your total runs scored/conceded over the whole group stage. So chasing a small target can't affect it that much.
It's still possible. They just need a RR of 11.2.
some might say that the Big Four making the semis was always a given when you consider the format of the tournament, each team playing each other once doesn't really give anywhere to hide for the smaller sides - but even so, it's been enjoyable all the same.
>thrashed England
They won by 12 runs, mostly thanks to Jason Roy dropping an absolute dolly at mid off.
We’re comparing NZ and Pakistan’s performance here. How they played against the other teams. NZ weren’t even close to beating Australia wheras Pakistan came within touching distance
I’m finna dabbb till I can’t know more
I’m going to take my horse to the old town roaddddd
IM FINNA DABBBBBBBB
Lmao
>unlucky
imagine actually believing this, you limped past Afghanistan kek
if new zealand don't deserve it, surely a team who did deserve it would have finished higher than then in the table? I just can't make much sense of all this. 'pakistan were not worse actually, some mysterious forces just happened to place them lower in the table than the team they are better than'
the table doesn't lie, you seem to be disputing objective reality
Calm down mate your head is going to explode soon. Just be grateful you get to watch NZ play another 2 games
Holy shit the STATE of British schoolchildren
Bangladesh looking nervous here
>won by 14 runs
>thrashed
No. Thrashed was Pakistan vs West Indies. If you beat them like everybody else did then >you'd be through
spot on
Pakistan’s game with Sri Lanka was washed out, an easy point that Pakistan lost
NZ’s game with India was washed out, giving them a point that they were never gonna get.
>some mysterious forces just happened to place them lower in the table
BCCI=ICC
>British
If it didn't rain on any of two separate days, if New Zealand had players other than Williamson, if Bangladesh could properly finish a game, if brathwaite could just take a single and wait for a bad ball, pakistan would be through. All of that is down to luck.
Although I freely admit it's Pakistan fault, not being prepared for windies short bowling and shitting the bed against Australia and India. Still, pakistan had hope. Nz is going to get smoked.
Should have batted better then. Fags.
>came very close to losing against Afghanistan
Stop seething kek
Why waste energy winning games you don't need to win? Don't blame us for your brainlet tactics
you are SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETHING
why are you assuming pakistan would have won the rained off game? that seems very presumptuous. they could have lost it and actually been 1 point better off. see, this is the sort of poor reasoning that I am seeing. you arrogantly assume that pakistan would SURELY win their abandoned game and NZ would SURELY lose theirs, with nothing to back it up. it's just a little sad.
this is embarrassing
should have just gone with BCCI=Pig3=ICC
it's true that we lost some dead rubber matches towards the close of the tournament, but when semi finals loom it becomes important to keep your cards close to your chest and focus on preparation, it takes priority over all else and so to call them "losses" ignores the circumstances
if pakistan had won all their games, they would be in the semi final right now. but some of you fail to give them the credit they deserve.
>it becomes important to keep your cards close to your chest
Sneaky George Worker call-up?
>If it didn't rain on any of two separate days, if New Zealand had players other than Williamson, if Bangladesh could properly finish a game, if brathwaite could just take a single and wait for a bad ball, pakistan would be through. All of that is down to luck
sounds like excuses desu.
Pakistan have been a weak team for a long time, when they faced >us they got bullied. You just don't have the players to do well in modern cricket, it's left you behind. You need to be able to bat down to 11, have at least one kino allrounder and have several bowlers that can bowl extremely fast.
truth is, you don't deserve the spot.
Not really. I am perfectly calm, and I admit pakistan probably deserve it less than the top 3. But nz is a worse team, based on world cup performances. Net run rate is a poor way to evaluate it.
Of course it wasn't guaranteed, it's less far fetched than the current timeline though.
Doesn't matter if we are out, we still have more world cups than kiwis will ever get.
Bro it is 4 wides
well of course, NZ had already done enough in the first half of the tournament to qualify. no sense overexerting yourself in matches that mean very little. NZ got out in front early and could afford to take their foot off the gas. they have paced their group stage perfectly unlike some other teams who got btfo in 13 overs we could mention
>You need to be able to bat down to 11, have at least one kino allrounder
Australia bat to 8, Maxwell and his pies are the frontline allrounder and are probably favourites for the CWC right now
It's true, we do have a mediocre team with only 2 or 3 quality players,so to make it this far is a good thing in and of itself. And we don't deserve it and would probably lose to any of the top 3. But still, Fuck new zealand. We rooted for you for one day and you betrayed us. Pakistan cricket does need to change with the times.
Kiwis getting VERY nervous watching this Pakistan side ramp it up
>peewees actually believe if the roles were reversed they wouldn’t be seething out of their fucking minds right now
>so to make it this far
Like every other team in the tournament you mean?
Reckon Pakistan have been left behind unironically because they are banned from the IPL
As recently as 2011, India were an absolute shit-tier fielding team with Sehwag and Munaf Patel lumbering around. These days they're nearly as good as the Anglo teams.
>get a free point without even having to play a match
>complain about it
I really do find this attitude very disappointing
Hello Daniel
*dabs into the finals*
Not every other team has the chance to finish level on points with the 4th team
PSL and other measures will change things, I am hopeful. We will always have the talent.
>PSL
Pakistan is doomed
No matter what happens, the Pakistani spirit will never die.
if you told me at the beginning of the tournament that a minnow team like pakistan would make the semis, I'd have been excited as it would be good for the game. however, having seen the immature sense of entitlement and arrogance of their supporters, I must say I'm happy things went the way we all thought they would.
SCORE SUM FAKIN SIXES
>minnow team
>has more world cup wins than you
hmmm
Pakistan will always be bigger fish than you, you are never winning it all.
Looks like they've given up kek
how do they keep taking the bait
NEW also celebration thread
seems as though our 5 is more than your current 4, even if you win this game, that still isn't more than 5.
Start chinning cunts mate.
