>BBC One recorded a 5 minute peak of 11.7m for last night’s World Cup semi final between England and the USA, breaking the record set during the 1/4 final against Norway. >Match had a peak share of 50.8%. Makes it the most-watched television programme of the year so far
And yets Brits keep on saying nobody watches or cares. The scope is unreal, they literally care more than the rest of the world and still failed
These stats include anyone who watched for 5 minutes
Julian Diaz
>w-we don't care lol
Lincoln Perry
Seething, of course a wh*te soiboy nation would be watching Womens Soccer Cup.
Oliver Bailey
>white Hehheh you're never allowed to call me Abdul again
Blake Morris
Unironically based.
Tyler Evans
the men's semi against croatia got 25m
Dylan Rogers
>most watched television program of the year in the UK >Americans don't even give a fuck because it's a bottom tier slag sport
Absolutely disgusting. Time to taste pillow gramps. Your time is up.
Grayson Turner
Imagine losing 2-1 to Americans.
Mason Price
So you're saying womens football is officially just under half as popular as mens sport in the UK?
Nicholas King
good to know we aren't the only ones that massively watch our team gets blown the fuck out every single fucking time.
Dylan Thompson
The funniest part is this Despite it being massively pushed here, no one really cares. You guys watch more of it and the men there defend it far more than your average American KEK
Jonathan Perry
Imagine drawing against Americans
Nathan Morgan
Trinidad y Tobago
Wyatt Flores
I can assure you, this is solely because it was on BBC One when the news is usually on, and that five minute peak would have been just after 10 o'clock when people were switching over to watch the news
John Perry
i turned over when the USA scored the first goal and how slow the women ran done my head in
David Reyes
We have broken the curse
We beat them 6-0
Nicholas Barnes
>the most-watched television programme of the year so far

Matthew Murphy

Jonathan Gray
>english subhumans would rather watch their women's team getting flogged in fucking soccer than watch their men's team cruise to a cricket world cup win fucking hate the engl*sh
Angel Stewart
Cricket WC isn't on FTA telly is why. Should be though. Should be Cat A protected.
Cameron Powell
>Should be Cat A protected. wait, so you do have anti siphoning laws in england, but it just doesnt cover cricket? what the fuck
The cricket WC is a List B, so there's only a highlights package on the terrestrial channels.
Julian Roberts
>he still trusts (((tv ratings))) How easily fooled you all are
Tyler Young
T. Aditya singh
Jace Peterson
that is so fucking retarded, my god. it's a world cup hosted IN england. any home series for the national team (regardless of sport) should be category A like it is here.
James Phillips
Yeah, it's shit. Test matches used to be until the ECB begged the government to downgrade it so they could sell the rights to Sky for more.
The cricket WC should really be protected, and the Ashes.
Jeremiah Martinez
yeah it was after 2005 when cricket was massive in england. iirc the edgbaston test peaked ovef 11 mil so it'd be on the same level in a session as this soccer game in the OP (womens but still). ECB literally killed cricket by seeking short term profits over the long term health of the game. now the ECB cant even get cricket onto BCC no matter how much they beg. they had to invest a new fucking format of the game to fit in a 2 hour window. just grim
Brayden Torres
Sir, can you provide me with your TV license and registration
The thing is that no one cares about womens football - before the tournament most people couldn't name a player. The media shilling for this in the name of gender equality has been mind blowing, and it's been quite eye opening how easy it is to get the public to support/follow something. I wouldn't mind if the quality of English womens football was better, but a) there are talented womens teams at other sports that never get any attention, because they don't play what is seen as a mans game, so they don't get media attention for 'changing the game'. And b) they're getting so massively hyped over the mens cricket team and the cricket world cup in general, which has been 100x better in terms of the actual sport on offer.
I don't have a problem with supporting womens football, but making it such a big deal just because of gender equality is bollocks.
Brayden Cox
The BBC can kill themselves as far as I am concerned. They pay stupid and necessary wages to turds like Lineker, pay the PL over £80m per year simply for a football highlights then they cry about cuts and end up losing sports they had the rights too (F1, The Open, 6N exclusivity) and wonder why people are pissed off.
That said, the BBC have a new four-year contract where they will be showing two England ODI matches per year starting 2020. Probably be the shit ones no one is really interested in.
James Reed
Imagine trying to pretend soccer is a manly sport kek
Liam Rivera
>project this hard about womens world cup that literally no one else care about Not sure if NA users are really hurt about sucking at big boys football or just a bunch of trannies, faggots and dykes using this WC to spread degeneracy
Christian Russell
>a mere fraction of the viewing figures for the mens World Cup, the same world cup that clappyfats failed to quality for
