Warriors retiring Kevin Durants #35 Jersey

retiring numbers in any sport is pathetic

You should be retiring those quads, damn

you are the worst posters of this board

this is pretty pathetic desu

'no'
The worst posters are the Chileans.

Kinda early of them to retire it. Wonder how curry and klay feel about his jersey being retired before theirs

Steph and Klay are getting gold statues in front of the arena when they retire. I don't think they mind KD having his # retired

>sorry we forced you to play injured and stunted your career for no good reason
>we promise no one will wear your obscure number for a while

Pure class. I like the Warriors. Except for Draymond.

Checked. Another reason to hate the warriors

THIS
>as long as I am co-chairman
Basically a temporary team because they're in desperation mode since no high value player will want to be in a team that applies pressure to just end up ruining your career like KD

They don't have money to sign anyone

I imagine they'll try to acquire someone next season and players are going to remember how they handled this whole KD thing

So what do they do if he beats them in a finals game?

Is this a troll?

Guess what? No one cares about the Nigger BA

What happens after they retire the numbers of 99 players?

>Carried himself with class and dignity on and off the court
Damn I didn’t know that Joe Lacob was actually one of KDs burner accounts all along

Then why are you in this thread?
For the first time I'm looking forward to this more than the NFL season

Lmao warriors trying to pretend they are a class act because they were outed as being slimeballs and mismanaging KDs injury for their own personal gain.

This is pathetic. He barely did anything at golden state. Not enough to have a Jersey retired. Just a mercenary.

Got his jersey retired before draymond lol

>the nfl season

Ahahagagagahagsgagaha

Capped

You're joking right?

Agreed

?

Not pathetic to retire Dave Keon's Maple Leaf's sweater (15 years), for example, or Babe Ruth's Yankee's jersey (14 years).
It's an appropriate way to honour someone and to carry that tribute into the future.

But Durant was on the Warriors for three (3) seasons lol.

>retiring the number of a player who's still active
Yikes

If you can’t beat them join them

3 years and Durant is probably talking shit about them after how last season ended

When you retire a number, what you're saying is basically that no one else that plays for that team will ever be as good as the person who previously wore it, which is a pathetic mentality. How ridiculous and small-minded would it be if Barcelona retire Messi's #10 for example? I mean, league rules don't allow that, but d'you honestly think that an ambitious club like Barcelona would ever believe that no player will ever match what Messi did? Napoli are being plagued by the same fucking problem, as they haven't won a title since Maradona played for them and they also haven't had a #10 since then. While the latter isn't the direct cause of the former, it's a sign of a lack of the ambition and self-belief necessary to win a title.

Retiring numbers as a tribute is only acceptable if the player dies while playing for the club.

100% agree. Puts busts or whatever up for great players and statues for lifelong legends. Retire a number under ultra rare circumstances

We live in a

KD is a pussy and he knows he's a pussy

This isn't a retirement officially

That's fucking gay.

>KD please forgive us for our training staff pushing you to get on the floor for game 5 pretty please. look how sorry we are
