It's not the wind keeping it away. The reason every year the tour goes to the alps and the pyrenees and the places in between is mountains. There must be mountains, and it must finish in Paris.

I like the parcours this year. For once, most of the mountainstages actually finish on top of them instead of neutering the race with a downhill into flat afterwards.

For me, it's Kruijswijk, Pinot and Bardet. But Bernal will probably win if I'm being realistic.

This could be the most exciting race since 2003. I'll keep my hopes up until the first mountain stage, when Bernal batters everyone by 3 minutes.

Downhill finishes favor technical riders. Long uphill finishes favor the Skytrain. If they wanted an exciting parcours, they should add puncheur finishes, and spend more time in the Jura/Massif Centrale
